Mar del Cabo by Velas Resorts

My fiancé and I had been here in 2024 and this is the only place we’ve visited twice. We wanted to come back because we knew we needed a cozy place to recharge where we could just hang out at the pool with some peace, and some excellent service. We really get along with the staff here, and they go above and beyond to help accommodate your plans or whatever you need to make your time special. I would like to personally thank Omar, Sebastian, and Ufracia for their wonderful company and charm. It was lovely to see them again and we were so touched by how they remembered so much about us. They truly care about their job and they bring such a bright energy to the resort. I also wanted to thank the concierge staff who helped me plan an on-site, romantic morning of star gazing. The resort is so well cared for and is such a lovely place to hang out for days, the greenery and flowers are so comforting and cooling, the rooms are so well cared for, and the architecture is such a careful organization that treats the guests to convenience and bliss. I have to mention the kitchen staff, who have created a menu that has a little bit for everyone. They’re so accommodating and the ingredients they use are of high quality. Their cocktails are amazing, and you will definitely enjoy their margarita selection with some guac and chips by the pool (it comes with a chicharon!). My fiancé and I talked about how great it would be to plan our wedding here; due to family members availability we have to plan it in Ireland, but we are fierce tempted to drug my mum-in-law to get her on the plane over there. If you are planning a small to medium, resort style wedding, definitely contact them with your questions. You would probably have the best wedding of your social sphere. An absolutely stunning and intimate resort. The perfect size, setup, and beautiful design for a peaceful long weekend relaxation trip! We spent 4 days at Mar Del Cabo and enjoyed every minute, and every bite. The restaurant might be the highlight of the property as its open-air design and canopy roof seem to draw a nice cool breeze & shade during hot Cabo summer days, set to the sound of the ocean in the background. And the food was delicious, though the breakfast & lunch menus feature more interesting options than the dinner menu that had surprisingly few Mexican cuisine options compared to its early-day counterparts. Miguel, Rosaura, Alberto, and Sergio all took exceptional care of us and added a meaningful personal touch to our stay. We will be back and cannot wait!

This may have been the best experience at a hotel I’ve ever had. It started with the pure beauty of this hotel from its white stucco with blue tiles, to the amazing vibrant flowers that were everywhere. The views of the beach and ocean were right out of a travel brochure. The restaurant served a great American breakfast every morning with two eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and coffee. You could also get fresh fruit, yogurt, and assortment of fresh bread as well. The best part of the experience were the people. A special thanks to our servers, Miguel, Victor, EuFracia, Sergio, and Rosaura who took great care of us every morning, afternoon and evening at the restaurant and on the beach while relaxing. Also, don’t have her name, but thank you for wonderful lady who made our bed each day and made it wonderful everyday. Omar was the manager of the servers and also excellent. Mucho Gracious!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort. The staff was amazing and very nice. The restaurant has beautiful views, awesome food and wonderful staff. We would definitely go go back and stay at any of the VELAS resorts.

Beautiful property and friendly attentive staff. The property has an abundance of tropical flowers throughout. The staff was very friendly and attentive from the front desk, restaurant and poolside/beach. Very relaxing environment perfect for couples.

My wife and I stayed for our wedding weekend and rented out the entire hotel for our guests. In a word, it was PERFECT. The hotel is beautiful, clean, spacious, and right on a gorgeous beach. The staff was superb- kind, attentive, generous, flexible. We had young children and older grandparents and everyone had a fantastic time (our guests won't stop telling us!). Whether it was playing in the pool, walking the beach at sunset, eating in the (great) restaurant, or just lounging, every aspect of MDC was above and beyond our expectations. We wouldn't change a thing and can't recommend MDC highly enough.
