Very friendly family ran hotel. The greatest advantage is its location, which is only a few mins walk from one of the viewing platforms. The room are well maintained and clean. We booked the sunrise view room and the balcony looked like a painting. Logistically, you need to take the village tourist shuttle to get here from the Ping’an Village parking lot because it’s located within the protected area. You must let the ticket vendor know the name of your hotel so they drop you off at the right one (there are multiple hotels inside the protected area)
This hotel is also about a 30 min walk from another viewing platform, which I would recommend doing if you have the time, as the walk was mostly flat and the scenery along the way was very nice as well.
Breakfast is quite typical of the area and the dinner was also quite nice. Overall would stay here again!

Recommended! You can drive directly to the downstairs of the homestay. Although there is a long staircase to climb up, the boss helped to carry the luggage up and down 👍Then the room is very large and spacious, and it is also quite new, which is in sharp contrast with the outdoors hahaha. It is a smart toilet, and the floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony are very comfortable 😌Live in the mountains and eat three meals directly at the homestay. The hotel is very good, and the scenery is picturesque! The whole check-in process was pleasant and reassuring, and the boss was even more attentive and enthusiastic. It was a very satisfying stay experience, recommended!!! Going to the Longji Rice Terraces during the Qingming Festival does not seem to be a good choice. You can clearly see the rice terraces along the way. The time is counted in seconds. The owner of the B&B went to the parking lot to pick us up and help us with our luggage. Since we were the only family staying, it was free of charge. I helped to upgrade the room. When you open the door, you can see the terraced fields. The wooden structure of the house still has a faint scent of wood. The boss's stir-fried bacon with dried bamboo shoots is delicious. I recommend it. The name of the B&B is embroidered on the pillowcases and towels.

Very satisfied, I chose this hotel with my family. When we arrived, we found that the room was very spacious and the children could move freely. The terraced fields can be seen through the two large glass windows. It is said to be chasing the moon with seven stars. The location is quite good.
Afterwards, we went to the boss's field to catch fish. The whole family had a great experience. In the evening, we followed the suggestion and ate the special bamboo tube chicken. The freshly killed local chicken was chewy and the seasoning was suitable. My favorite was the scrambled eggs with wild leeks grown locally.
The bathtub is considerately equipped with a disposable bathtub cover, so there is no need to worry about bacteria remaining. The cleanliness and hygiene are a plus compared to other hotels.

It is recommended to add a disposable water cup. There is also a smart toilet and wireless charging, which is quite a surprise. The owner is also extremely helpful, they will send you information of how to get there in advance and will come and pick you up from the parking lot of Ping'an village if necessary.
We even forgot some things on the room and he was really fast to send it by mail to us. He speaks very good English.
You can order breakfast and dinner there and their food is delicious 😋. I'll definitely come back.

HHumenaboDrive to Longji to see the terraced fields. The homestay is located near the No. 2 viewing platform of Dazhai. The two-way canyon mountain road of more than ten kilometers is challenging to drive, but the scenery along the way is beautiful.

GGuest UserWe absolutely loved our stay at this home stay! The family were incredible and catered to the needs of our vegan friends. Fresh breads, noodles and dishes were prepared for our arrival and a pick-up service was offered.
The owner’s daughter, who is currently studying at university, was able to support us with her good understanding of the English Language.
During our stay, we got slightly lost on our hike but the family contacted us with a better, safer route once we shared our location.

This B&B is run by several post-90s (post-95s) people.
80% of the villages in this village are homestays.
But most of the guests in our B&B are foreigners, mostly French (maybe it has something to do with the name of the hotel: Lavie)
During our stay, we met many French people
The three young clerks all speak very good English.
Occasionally, I am invited to help translate in other stores.
For example, a Brazilian tour group came a few days ago
But people in the village basically don’t speak English.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the parking lot, but when we askef the owner for some directions, he offered to pick us up at the parking lot with his car. This was super helpful to locate and arrive to the hotel comfortably. Moreover, this hospitality continued during the stay, where they upgraded our room, and always made sure we were alright. The rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. Really, a fantastic choice. Thank you so much for the stay!

GGuest UserBooked a parent-child and double room. The hotel is located in Jinkeng Terraces, with view decks 1.2 on the left and 3 on the right. There are rice fields right outside the door. There is a stream a few steps down from the hotel. It is very parent-child friendly! The hotel is hygienic and clean, and the food in the store is delicious. Auntie Fa is very nice and the boss is very enthusiastic. The luggage is sent directly to the hotel. The car is parked at the foot of the hotel and it takes five minutes to walk to the hotel. There are stone steps on the mountain road and there is a road. It is full of childhood memories and I saw many plants that I saw when I was a child. Worth recommending^^

Driving from Shenzhen for ten hours to visit Longji Rice Terraces🦾
At 5:00 in the morning on September 30th, before dawn, I drove from Shenzhen for nearly 10 hours😭 directly to Ping'an Zhuangzhai of Longsheng Longji Rice Terraces. But I stayed in a B&B where I felt extremely happy! The room was exactly like the photos! 🥰Right next to the Kowloon Five Tigers Observation Deck! You can see the beautiful terraced fields from your room! We were really lucky that the boss upgraded our room because we had two children! So happy! When I got there, the room was sunny and I couldn't help taking a lot of photos despite my tired body! The terraced fields are really beautiful at three o'clock in the afternoon!
Although the B&B is really beautiful, I still have to talk about the hardship. 😂

2⃣️📸Photography: I got up early and went to the Seven Stars and Moon Viewing Platform in Ping'an Zhuangzhai but didn’t see the sunrise. 😭 If you only stay for one night like me and like to take pictures, it is recommended to take a lot of photos in the B&B and save some energy to go to Jinkeng Dazhai to take pictures! It’s really beautiful there! You can also spend a little money to rent a set of clothes for taking photos~
3⃣️Viewing platform selection: After reading a lot of guides, I finally figured out how to go to Jinkeng Dazhai in one go without spending a penny, without taking a cable car, and without climbing a mountain. It takes less time to reach a beautiful viewing area! That is the navigation [Longji Thousand-Layer Ladder Observation Deck]. Find a store nearby to eat and park for free:D. After eating and drinking, go to the bathroom and then walk downhill for a few minutes to reach the [Thousand-Layer Ladder Observation Deck]! Before we left, we asked the local residents if it was necessary to go to the Golden Buddha Peak. They said no, so we left contentedly. Hahaha
4⃣️The temperature on the mountain has dropped! Everyone should bring thick clothes when traveling! It was so cold on October 1st that I was shivering...
5⃣️If you like golden passion fruit, you can find a stall along the road to buy small and medium-sized fruits and bargain for a good price. It's really a good deal! Much cheaper than downtown.
