Holiday Inn Express London - Excel Reviews

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express London Excel was a thoroughly positive experience. If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient base, especially for events at the Excel Centre, this hotel is a great choice. The rooms were clean, modern, and provided everything needed for a relaxing stay. I found the bed particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel's location is ideal for accessing the Excel Centre, and the transport links made exploring the wider city easy. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The selection was varied, and everything was fresh and, most importantly, tasty. It was a great way to start the day and provided plenty of fuel for a busy schedule. Overall, the Holiday Inn Express London Excel offered excellent value for money. The friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, and delicious breakfast made for a very enjoyable stay. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London, particularly those attending events at the Excel Centre.

Had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express which was clean and tidy. The room was a good size with tea/coffee facilities, again clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. I’m glad I chose this hotel as it was in a great location and the DLR station was only a 2 minute walk away. So made it easy to get to the o2. Will definitely use this hotel again when visiting London 😉

Housekeeping have done but seems careless, staff either. It is not easy for you to go to the Custom House Station, but anyway it still near the cable car in Royal Docks.

I stayed for one night whilst working in London. Great experience from friendly, speedy check in through to breakfast and online check out. The room was very quiet with really comfortable bed. Lots of choices at breakfast and nice coffee. Hotel is close enough to the DLR to make it suitable for accessing the wider city.

Good stay and good service. There was no water bottles provided

Lovely hotel and the perfect location for our trip.The colleagues were extremely attentive from reception and bar to restaurant and housekeeping they made every part of our stay a pleasant experience. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect way to start the day.

Clean hotel with friendly efficient staff. Location good for our show at O2 Arena We stay every year for the show,but we both felt that the quality and standard has dropped on the cooked breakfast. The sausages are now poor quality, mushy texture with unpleasant aftertaste, and the hash browns were so oil soaked,and had the texture of cardboard. Everything was just lukewarm, not hot as it had been in previous years. On the plus side, two pancake machines have now been added, quick and easy to operate. We also ate in the restaurant the previous evening, but although the menu has improved, at 5pm (opening time for anything other than toasties or pizza) several items were 'out of stock ', including from the specials board! The selected meals I would say were just okay, the standard of an average pub meal. Summing up, I would still stay here again, but would eat out for evening meal and sadly only have continental style breakfast, which is disappointing as the cooked breakfast was previously a highlight of the stay here!

Great hotel. Very nice locations and ambience of the hotel.

Easy to find. Have great views through the window; may see the sunset glow (see the pic posted) and the passing trains and aeroplanes. Relatively quiet environment, with good soundproof decoration. Spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff, quick response and considerate service. Special thumb-up to the front desk and the breakfast service.

Great hotel with friendly staff. Neat facilities and close to amenities

Hotel is based in a nice location, however the cleaning can be a lot more better as there was dust. It’s a shame parking is not included.

Great location for event at excel but service was poor in the bar waiting for food took an hour to come and was cold

The hotel is clean and has a good price/quality ratio. Perfect location if you're traveling to LCY. If you want to go to London city center, it's okay at best.
