The Spring House Hotel Rome Vatican, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Reviews

We booked a quadruple room which fits 4 persons. The room was clean and nice, and we even had a terrace for oursleves where we could all sit down and have a drink and eat some fruits together. Location was near Vatican but a little bit far from Rome down town so we had to take taxi here and there quite often.

Very clean, good breakfast , rooms were quite small for standard double so a short stay is fine. Staff extremely helpful

Excellent hotel very close to Vatican City. Clean, comfortable room. Helpful and respectful staff. Good airconditioning especially in summer. Safe accomodation for a family of 4 (2 kids 4 and 8yo). Nothing to fault. Keep up the good work!

Everything good except shower not that hot.

The shower room is very unreasonable. It is half open. There is no shower curtain or anti-slip mat. There is no floor drain in the bathroom. There is no water barrier. There is no warning sign to watch out for overflowing bath water. The child was bathing and didn't know that the water would overflow into the room. We had to pay 150 euros for the broken skirting. The breakfast was also very simple and there was nothing to eat. Not recommended

If we only look at the hardware facilities of this hotel, it is not an exaggeration to say that it is at the level of Home Inn. But there are two biggest advantages: 1. It has its own underground garage, which is convenient for self-driving parking at 20 euros a day. 2. It is very close to the Vatican Museum, and the entrance is within a 5-minute walk. If you take the subway, both Ottaviano and Cipro stations are within a 10-minute walk, which is very convenient In addition, the hotel service staff are very enthusiastic and the surrounding area feels relatively safe. For meals, the hotel front desk recommended the Italian restaurant la locanda di pietro, which is a very cost-effective Italian restaurant. There is a 70-year-old silver-haired waiter Tony in the restaurant. When he sees Chinese people, he says thank you, thank you, very cute.

The location is very good, within walking distance of the Vatican, very convenient. The bus at the door can also go directly to downtown Rome. The front desk staff is very responsible and very nice, and the room is cleaned very thoroughly. The only drawback is that the room is a little small.

Very convenient location. Everything is nearby. The Vatican, the Vatican Museum, restaurants with different prices and a couple of supermarkets right next to the hotel. You can walk everywhere to the Colosseum and other attractions. Breakfast is not bad, but not very varied. I have breakfast around 9:30 and at this time some items are out and not replenished (for example fruit). For lovers of baking - it's enough. There is a terrace with amenities where you can relax during the day or in the evening from which you can see the trees sticking out of the Vatican gardens. The staff is professionally polite and tries to help if questions or difficulties arise. The cleaning is not bad, but not fanatical. There were no problems with thefts. There is also a safe in the room. Sound insulation is poor. You can hear everything, including what is happening outside the window. For a couple of days, a guest was talking under the window half the night. And it felt like she was talking in our room. Otherwise, the location is quiet and no one walks or hear anyone at night (unless one of the guests decides to drink cocktails under your window)

The room type is a bit strange. It is located on the ground floor next to the hotel bar and restaurant. It is a bit noisy.

The environment is okay, right next to the Vatican City, 5 minutes' walk to the museum. From the hotel, you can see the top of St. Peter's Basilica half a short walk away. There are bus terminals, train stations and supermarkets around. Traveling is quite convenient. Moreover, this is a living area, which has a different feel from the scenic area. The only shortcoming is that I didn’t get to use the sauna. I went past the time I made an appointment with the front desk, but there were still people inside. You can’t bring mobile phones and watches in the sauna. The hotel staff didn’t remind you, and they didn’t say anything if you saw them. Can we change to an outdoor one? Taking a sauna is just for dehumidification and sweating. After all, it is not a hot spring. In the winter, when it is hot and cold outdoors, it is easy to catch a cold, so it is better to go back to the room to sleep.
