Wir hatten das Hotel über HRS-Deals gebucht. Erste Nacht wurde uns ein Einzelzimmer mit einem 1,40 m breiten Bett als Standard-Doppelzimmer gegeben. Haben dies dann aber am nächsten Morgen getauscht. Daraufhin ein Zimmer zur Straße bekommen ( die meisten Zimmer liegen zur Straßenseite); hier hatten wir zwei Einzelbetten, die nebeneinander gestellt wurden und leider auch viel zu kurz waren. Mal abgesehen von der für mich viel zu harten Matratze und das extreme Knarzen bei jeder Bewegung. Es gibt hier keinen Fahrstuhl und nur sehr enge Treppen. Das Frühstück war gut. Die Lage ist prima; 10 min zu Fuß zum Völkerschlacht-Denkmal. S-Bahn und Straßenbahn quasi direkt vor der Tür.

Authentic German Hotel
The staff struggled with English, but we managed. Everyone was friendly and patient.
Otherwise, very good value, nice facilities and an authentic German hotel. Also, very close to several attractions and public transport connections.

Wir wurden insgesamt sehr freundlich Empfangen und die Unterkunft war gepflegt und ordentlich. Das Hotel macht seinen Namen alle Ehre, und man fühlt sich in vielen Bereichen aufgehoben wie vor 100 Jahren. Die Betten waren bequem und Badezimmer mit großer Badewanne ausgestattet.
Frühstück war reichhaltig mit allem, was man sich wünscht und auch sehr lecker.
Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und der Lage würden wir dieses Hotel auch in Zukunft in Betracht ziehen

This is not a hotel, this is an apartment for airbnb. We were at 52 apto, 5th floor, and there isn't elevator. We are traveling with a lot of lugague and we had to take it all stairs up and stairs down. There isn't front desk. We request to clean up our room, but nobody do it along our stay. It was a really bad experience. I was looking for a hotel with all services associated, not for an airbnb in *******. I am making a claim for this stay.

国立図書館に行くならここ
ドイツ国立図書館に行くのに最適なホテル。寄木細工の床、机も椅子もかわいい作りで、大手チェーンホテルの退屈な内装とは大違い。ー鉄道と道路の交差する角に立つが、騒音は気にならなかった。サービスも素晴らしい。ライプチッヒの定宿にするつもり。
