"This is the second time I've stayed at this fantastic hotel, and as I begin this review, I am just starting my second week here and wanted to share my experience. Firstly, the hotel itself and the rooms are spotlessly clean, which is a credit to the management and the hard-working, unseen team that work tirelessly behind the scenes. The hotel is off the main drag but only about a two-minute walk to all the restaurants and bars. It's very tranquil around the pool, which is what I like, with no loud music bouncing out thank goodness. The rooms themselves, depending on your choice, are all well appointed with excellent beds and linen. Since last year, it's nice to see that there is a constant reinvestment programme going on, with new hairdryers fitted in the rooms and a touch card entry system, as well as a fantastic electronic traffic light system on the door where you can just press green to indicate the room is to be cleaned or red for do not disturb, etc. There's also a new building under construction near the pool, which will contain new outside toilets and showers. (Don’t worry, the work is going on out of season.) The G George is an extremely well-run family business, expertly managed by Maria and Martina, who are both very hands-on and approachable, always on hand. With the lovely Joanna behind the bar, always with a nice smile and enthusiasm—she's a lovely girl with a great command of the English language—I find myself drinking quite a lot at Joanna’s bar because I have a genetic condition whereby my body doesn't produce its own alcohol, so I have to take supplements. 😉 For breakfast, which is always overseen and expertly managed by Maria, there's always something for everyone and a real effort is made to display it all well. In my opinion, it's a fantastic array. At breakfast time, we are greeted by Caroline, the English lady, who is a wealth of information and very hardworking. Just in the last couple of days, we have welcomed a new starter, Elana, who has made a great impression and integrated seamlessly into the team, doing a fantastic job. Enjoy your new journey, Elana. "Had a lovely stay at Grand Nefeli hotel in Vasiliki. The hotel is located in Ponti beach Vasiliki within walking distance to local restaurants and bars. The room was clean with comfortable bed, mattress and pillows. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The hotel has a patio with a private swimming pool and free sunbeds provided on the beach. There is a lot of activities you can choose from when visiting Vasiliki - paddle boarding, mountain bikes, diving and windsurfing. Amenities are provided and there is also a refrigerator in the room. The room has got double doors with mosquito net and air conditioning. I had a sea view room on the second floor with breakfast included and it was a good value for money."

"This hotel is a little gem , Vasilis was a superb host from the onset, in fact all staff were pleasant and hard working, rooms cleaned everyday, the pool was nice and there were plenty of sunbeds . Although we were there at end of July into August we found the pool area to ourselves for large periods of the day . The bar snacks were lovely and the cheapest bottles of mythos in greece (only 2 or 2.50 for large bottle) , drinks were mainly out of fridge with a few spirits . Breakfast was brought to our room as we tried the breakfast area which is outside but we're plagued by wasps which I suppose is common in greece at that time of year. Rooms were comfortable and had amazing view out to sea . The area is very quiet so if you want nightlife a few minutes in a taxi takes you to nidri , there is a nice restaurant 5 mins walk from the hotel which we frequented on three occasions. All in all if you want quiet and relaxation and are not too bothered about noisy nightlife then give it a try , the transfer isn't that long and is a nice journey with lovely scenery. I'd definitely go here again if I book lefkada . One more little snippet of information is that the pool closes for "quiet" time 3pm till 5pm which was really good , it gave you peace and quiet for a afternoon nap but again it wasn't that busy anyway , usually got busier after 5pm when other holiday makers came back after day out ."

"Beautiful boutique hotel with exquisite decor, showing attention to every detail. Our room was on the smaller side, especially the shower, but equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There is air conditioning or heating, depending on the season. The hotel is conveniently located near several beaches and a variety of restaurants, especially during high season. If you visit in November, as we did, it’s necessary to go to the center of Lefkada for more dining options. During high season, breakfast is a buffet, while in low season it’s à la carte, with selections made the night before. Nonetheless, the food is plentiful, and we were able to choose as many options as we wanted. Everything was delicious. It’s a family-run hotel, and the hosts were very friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations to explore the island. In front of the hotel, there’s a small pool with a hot tub, though it was no longer in use during our visit."

"Cannot believe I have read such poor reviews. 8 of us stayed and we all had a very pleasant experience. Rooms clean, bed comfortable, ac good and location great. This is not a 5 star hotel but you don't pay 5 star prices. I have stayed before and I will stay again. Reception staff very helpful when they understand what you are after but to be fair their English is 100% better than my Greek so I cannot complain about not being understood."
