"I rarely leave reviews and am finally doing something I meant to do 8 years ago. The first time, we chose this hotel by chance and came for just 2 days. The woman at the reception recommended a 2-day itinerary — where and when to go, where to eat, and what to see. As a result, those two days turned out to be the best of our entire vacation. I didn’t ask her name, but I’m very grateful for her advice. The second time we came to Red Tower was 8 years later — this time with our kids. Due to our mistake, there was an issue with booking, and Elina, kindly helped us with the room and support. The kids were thrilled to stay in a tower, and we were impressed by changes at the hotel’s design and authenticity. "

Rouda Village

"Terrible experience – not worth the money I stayed at Rouda Village and was extremely disappointed. The conditions were far from what you’d expect for the price. The air conditioning cannot be used during the day, so every time I returned to my room it was unbearably hot. On top of that, the electricity shuts off when you’re not in the room, which means you can’t leave anything charging or cooling while you’re out. Overall, the comfort level was very poor and absolutely not worth the money they ask for. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay."

Thomais Boutique Hotel

"The third time on Lefkada, I spent my 14 days vacation at the Thomais Boutique Hotel in Nikiana. Being a boutique hotel, it is different to typical holiday hotels, in the positive sense. First, it is a small hotel, I guess around 8 to ten rooms. The rooms are designed in an unusual, modern way and with a lot of love for details. All illumination, directly or indirectly selectable, is based on energy efficient LED technology. Each room has it's own motto and is designed individually. My deluxe two person room was spacious and featured a large bed with a thick quality mattress. If you order a land view room, you have silent ambience, the sea view rooms however are oriented to the coast road. I heard about people complaining about the unevitable traffic noise this causes, but if you research correctly in advance (e.g. by Google maps) you will see this before. Luckily, the sea view rooms have a dual glass balcony sliding door (and a second mesh slider against insects), and this way there is almost no noise, especially in the night there is generally low traffic only. The air condition with free adjustment of the settings is included and so is a small safe and a fridge. A TV set is also in the room, offering mostly greek channels. The WiFi is well meshed and strong with multiple repeaters. Compared to other hotels, the cleaning of the rooms is on the highest possible level and really top notch. Breakfast is selected in advance and features all options you may appreciate. I especially enjoyed the daily really fresh fruit selection and and the well cooled pure orange juice. The manager couple was friendly and helpful throughout and offered me food even at late arrival or early departures (as it happens with planned boat trips or other activities). The a la card dishes are reasonable sized, nicely prepared and tasting really well, but a bit on the pricey side. Unfortunately I had not time to visit the rooftop table possibility and I also missed the chance to exercise a bit using the underwater cycle and treadmill which reside in a small open air basin. The location of the hotel between Nidri and Lefkada town is fine to visit both spots with any motorized vehicle. Attention: Bus schedule is just around 4 to 5 times a day, so you need exact planning if you rely on such option. As the summary, the hotel is clearly recommendable for a full vacation stay, being and adult only facility you are free of ususal children noise and disturbance, and all guest are behaving well which adds to the high level of recreation during the stay."

"Had a lovely stay at Grand Nefeli hotel in Vasiliki. The hotel is located in Ponti beach Vasiliki within walking distance to local restaurants and bars. The room was clean with comfortable bed, mattress and pillows. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The hotel has a patio with a private swimming pool and free sunbeds provided on the beach. There is a lot of activities you can choose from when visiting Vasiliki - paddle boarding, mountain bikes, diving and windsurfing. Amenities are provided and there is also a refrigerator in the room. The room has got double doors with mosquito net and air conditioning. I had a sea view room on the second floor with breakfast included and it was a good value for money."

"I had the pleasure of staying at the Ionian Blue with my family for my bestie Natalie & Tony's wedding held on the 30th May. They were attentive, super helpful and nothing was to difficult to ask for. They worked so hard to ensure every guest was well looked after. I must give a special mention to Vasilki in reception who in my mind should be General Manager. She was fabulous!!! She supported the planning of the wedding by ensuring everything went to plan. Many things she did I know isnt part of her daily job. She made my kids and I feel so welcomed. Also a massive shout out to Kristos!!! He handled a number of orders and did his best to stay cheerful and managed perfectly!!! I know this past week was tough for him as he was mainly the only one in the bar/pool area but both him and Vasilki deserve a pay rise and promotions! They were super friendly and a total asset to the hotel. Please congratulate them for a job well done! I will happily return to this hotel because of them!!! Food in the bar/pool was tastier and cooked brilliantly. The hotel has an amazing view and our room was perfectly clean and spacious. If you have mobility issues then walking to use the many lifts or stairs could be a problem but overall for me it was worth it. Thank you Ionian!!!!"

"A warm friendly welcome from check in to unfortunately having to go home. Beautiful location overlooking the marina and a short walk to the center of Nidri. Room was very spacious and well maintained the aircon being a bonus as it was baking hot during our stay. We stayed in a room for 4 people with our balcony overlooking the pool, bar and beautiful views over the marina. The hotel has a lovely pool area and a very well stocked pool bar. You can also enjoy your drinks on the beach across the road which was lovely in the evening watching the moon rise over the bay. A fantastic 2 weeks spent in a great super value for money hotel with a lovely friendly Greek family as your hosts. Would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Oscar"

Rouda Bay Beach Hotel

"There wasn't sponge and liquid detergent in kitchen to wash the dishes. The kitchen shelves were full with dust. The location is pretty far from the rest of the island. The beach is pebbled and too crowded. The location doesn't offer much to do, actually it's not a village...there is some tavernas, but they also were crowded and if you don't make reservation you can't find a place to eat."

"Very clean comfortable rooms. Very central location right on the beach front. Very relaxing hotel with friendly and very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. We were only staying two nights but extended our stay to 4nights as we liked it so much. Definitely would come back."

Porto Ligia

"What a fabulous hotel. Really really fabulous. The hotel is so very clean and everyone works so hard to keep it that way. In fact all the staff are amazing. Whatever we requested at reception for example moped hire, taxis, iron or general info was dealt with straight away. Nothing is any bother for the brilliant staff that work there. I can't praise them enough. Lots of sunbeds and plenty of space. Pool is just lovely. Ask for a pizza with " everything on " you won't be disappointed. Breakfast is delicious too. Saying the view is outstanding does it an injustice, you'll need to see for yourself. The world is a big beautiful place and we never go back to the same place twice....... have already booked again for next year."
