Savoy Hotel Mactan Cebu near Newtown Beach

Located on Mactan Newtown Street, it even has a swimming pool! Breakfast was decent. If you're touring Cebu, a hotel in Mactan makes for convenient pick-up and drop-off.

There was a fire in the outlet and I called an employee to come over, but they asked why I needed to come and said there was a problem and asked me to come over. I called again after that, but they didn't come. (Even if you dial 0 first, it takes about 5 minutes and there's no quick feedback.) I opened the door and called an employee passing by and asked them to fix it, and they told us to go to the first floor lobby to talk, so we went up there with the employee and showed them the situation. They said they would upgrade us, but we just wanted a refund. We checked in at 6 PM, ate right away, came back to the room at 8-9 PM, and checked out at 10:30 AM. I had high expectations because it was a newly built room and thought the service would be good, but it was the worst. They said that a refund was not possible because it was a reservation made through Treat.com. We contacted Treat.com and asked them to check and proceed with the refund request. After they said it was okay and we left, we contacted Treat.com again and asked for a refund, but they just said they wouldn't give it to us. Seriously.. I was in a really embarrassing situation where the victim got hurt again after coming out without resting for 2-3 hours.. I don't think I'll use this again. The hair dryer was provided by the hotel.
