The resort is right on the beach which is lovely and the service overall was good. It's needs to be said that the aircon in the room was visibly filthy, the fan was so noisy it was hardly usable. The tap in the bathroom seemed to be blocked because the water was hardly coming out of it. The shower head was leaking half of the water out the top making the flow weak. The roof above the canteen is full of debree and in desperate need of a pressure wash. About 40% of the lights between trees by the bar are in working order. The resort is old but for $100 a night I was a half decent level of maintenance to be upheld.

The Frangipani Langkawi has a great location, close to Pantai Cenang and right by the beach. The natural setting is peaceful and relaxing. But the rooms are very dated and in need of serious refurbishment. There was a musty smell, and everything felt worn out. The gym equipment is old, and the dumbbells were rusty, which was disappointing. The breakfast spread was limited and boring, lacking variety and freshness. Service was okay, but overall, the resort feels tired and not well maintained. Wouldn’t return unless they do a major upgrade.

I had an amazing experience staying at this beachside resort during my vacation — definitely one of the best I’ve ever been to! The location is stunning, right by the beach and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation was super comfortable and all the facilities were top-notch. The staff were really friendly and always ready to help with a smile. What I loved the most was how kid-friendly the place was. The hotel organized several fun activities just for children and my kids had a blast participating in them — they were entertained and happy throughout the stay! The buffet breakfast was another highlight — so many tasty options and everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start each day. A special mention to Mrs. Mary, the tour manager who was incredibly supportive. She helped coordinate all our activities in Langkawi smoothly and made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to Langkawi — it’s perfect for families, couples or even solo travelers looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Location was great. Breakfast was ok. Rooms was a bit run down. A fresh coat of paint would be great. The surrounding gardens were unkept.  The scenery was fantastic a long the beach. Managed to catch a beautiful rainbow.

This was a mix bag for me. Considering the price I paid, it was not on par with other hotels in the same league. The location, however, is the hotels winning point. Other than that, we experienced a few issues. Firstly, unless you have Netflix, the TV is useless. The hotel is old and dated. I was stuck in the hotel. The breakfast options are quite limited. I cannot fault the staff, they were efficient and tried their best. The pools were clean and my kids enjoyed it

Perfect stay, very welcoming. Great location. Understood vegetarian needs for me as an Indian traveller. The breakfast was good with loads of dishes. Would recommend!

Our 3-night stay at Frangipani Langkawi Resort was a delightful and relaxing experience with a few minor hiccups. One of the highlights was the sea view restaurant—watching the rain while dining was a beautiful, calming experience. The buffet breakfast was tasty and fresh, though the variety was limited and could be improved. The room was cozy and comfortable, but the bathroom fittings could use an upgrade—there was some leakage from the bidet. We also had a brief power outage, but it was quickly fixed after we reported it. The overall ambience was serene and enchanting, with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and a clear commitment to eco-friendly, sustainable practices. The beach had heavy waves, making it less ideal for swimming, but the pool and jacuzzi were clean, relaxing, and enjoyable. Considering the location, peaceful setting, and unique charm, we felt it offered good value for money—perfect for those looking to unwind and connect with nature.

Very good resort, good room upper level or story much bigger than the ground floor. Take near pool or see will be better. Breakfast Asian but n8ceyou can get corroasn, omlete. Nice beach near sea amenities. 5 minuets from cinnamon beach and city famous street. All are good and recommended. Ahh, take mosquito spry, use grab for transportation and food delivery also.

Improvement to the property need to be made esp toilet . My booked room .. the toilet smells bad

The good part was that the beach next to the resort is neat and clean.. The staffs are friendly The location was okay  The room is decent, but a bit dated The complimentary breakfast was average..

Pros: Good location by the beach Nice mango cocktails but that is where it ends. Cons: After insisting we would not take a room at the back of the car park, we waited for half an hour and were given another room. It is the first time I have entered a hotel room to find a cleaner had used the toilet and didn't flush it! There were black hairs on the basin, one light bulb not working and it is already a dark room. One morning we went to go to the gym at 10am and someone had forgotten to unlock it as it said it opens at 8am but we couldn't get in. The bartender doesn't know what mint smells or tastes like as he put this strange herb in a mojito which we couldn't drink, the breakfast was VERY average (and that is being polite) and clearly aimed at the Indian market. We couldn't eat anything except fruit and eggs. The staff have not had training as it took a long time every time to actually get served and at breakfast, the dishes were never cleared away from almost every table. When we checked in the receptionist really wasn't interested as she just gave us the key and that was it. I had to ask her if there was anything we should know such as where is breakfast and she never told us if we wanted anything from the room there is a number you can whatsapp as there is no phone in the room. We would never return as there is just too much choice of places who actually make an effort.

It was short vacation for 4 nights with family. Hospitality was the best. Rooms are super clean and tidy. Breakfast suitable for all nationalities. Beach super relaxing
