"The Pacific Marina Inn Airport is only suited for travelers needing a practical, budget-friendly option near HNL, especially for overnight or layover stays. It's not luxurious, but it delivers on convenience, friendly service, and basic comforts. However, if you're seeking a longer stay, a more polished experience, or better access to attractions like Waikiki, you may want to explore options elsewhere."

"Except for the location near the airport I wouldn't recommend this hôtel. It's dirty and noisy. And when the breakfast is included in the price of room, you get coupon for the restaurant. The choice of food for breakfast is very small. And it's either coffee (a very very bad one) or water (a very very small bottle). And then you are allowed to eat in the restaurant and you have to take away and eat in your room as there is no other places to eat. This breakfast is a joke :("

"I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they’re a very deep sleeper. The road noise is impossible to sleep with. I’ll be complaining soon and seeking a part refund. Even with earplugs I couldn’t sleep enough. (There was also no bottled water. Even in countries with drinking tap water, hotel rooms get theirs from tanks so it’s not recommended.)"

"Hotel location is good, the service staff is warm, the room is quiet and clean. The room size is relatively large. The disadvantage is that it takes a little time to go to 🉐 for the first time to find the front desk. You need to find a hand-held elevator to go down to the basement floor to check in. Because the whole building is for commercial and residential use, the obvious kitchen taste in the corridor. The decoration is relatively old, if you drive, 🉐 go down from the garage to the first floor, and then transfer to the elevator to the room The hotel is well located, and the staff are very friendly. The higher floors are relatively quiet and clean, and the rooms are quite spacious. The only drawback is that it took some time to find the front desk on the first visit. You need to take the escalator down to the first basement floor to check in.As the building is a mixed-use commercial and residential one, there is a distinct smell of cooking in the corridors. The decoration is rather old-fashioned.If you drive, you have to go down to the ground floor from the garage and then take the elevator to your room."

"Hotel location in the city, from the airport in the past, almost 44 knives, but public transportation is more convenient, if it is not a suitcase large bag on the bus will be questioned, it is recommended to bus. The front desk is very welcoming and can provide effective information and help. The room is clean, the space is large enough, and the facilities are quite new. The room is soundproof and can hear the sound of the next door, but it is still within the scope of the permit. The bed is comfortable to sleep. It is worth mentioning that there is a restaurant on the first floor, which tastes good, the weight is sufficient, and the cost is a regular price. (The rate for suggested tip will be listed in the bill, and the guests choose it themselves) There are 711 supermarkets around the hotel, which is convenient to buy transportation cards. If you don't want to have breakfast at the hotel, there are McDonald's and Maru Turtle noodles two steps across the street. In addition, the hotel is in the city center, there are many places to eat breakfast around, you can slowly find it yourself. Some comments mentioned that there will be tramps near the hotel at night, which is true, but there are also general pedestrians and vehicles on the road at night. Of course, pedestrians and vehicles in the city are relatively rare at night, so keep general vigilance, don't be too late and shake outside. Seeing alone or two or three tramps avoid or keep their distance in advance, it is fine. In short, this hotel is still worth recommending."

GGuest UserI stayed here with three friends. It's a 10-minute walk to Ala Moana Center and close to Magic Island and Kahanamoku Beach. They offer free daily activities like lei making and yoga, which made our stay very enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThis hotel was perfect for my trip. [Room] - Spacious - The sink was large. I was able to spread out all my amenities. The large mirror and magnifying mirror made applying makeup easy. - Excellent shower pressure. - The toilet flushed smoothly. - The bathroom had a large luggage storage area with over 10 hangers. I brought folding hangers but didn't use them. I was able to easily fit three inflatable swim rings and a suitcase. - There were plenty of chests of drawers, so I was able to store all my clothes. - There was a large mirror behind the sofa, making it easy to get ready. - There were also multiple outlets on the side beds, so charging my phone was easy. - Two adults and a small child could sleep comfortably on the king bed. There was also a sofa bed, but we didn't use it. - The housekeeper always cleaned the room well, and there was no sand from the beach. - Plenty of towels and tissues. - The coffee machine, paper cups, and drinking glasses were always kept replenished. [Pool/Beach] - You can go directly to the beach from the pool. There were plenty of beach chairs reserved for the hotel, so it was easy to find a spot. You could leave your towel and luggage there, play in the pool, then play on the beach and then return to the pool empty-handed. Duke's staff are always wandering around the poolside checking for orders, so you can order from the menu on the spot. You can even drink alcohol while swimming in the pool. Floor rings are allowed in the pool. Beach bags are provided in the rooms, so you can use them. They're large and sturdy, and I often saw people carrying them around town. I didn't need to bring my own. Water bottles are also provided. There's a water dispenser by the pool. [Overall Hotel] The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff helped me with my luggage as soon as I arrived. I arrived at 12:30, but they allowed me to check in early without asking. My luggage was delivered to my room promptly, and after I told them where the safe was, they left the room saying, ”Enjoy!”, so I almost missed a tip. While there aren't many Japanese people and none of the staff speaks Japanese perfectly, I was able to get by with just a few words. Security is tight, as you can't get on the elevators without a hotel card. Conveniently, there's a Hula Grill and Duke's just down the street from the lobby. For a late breakfast around 9:00, Hula Grill was open, and I was able to get a great beachfront seat without a reservation. I got a cheap city view room on the first floor, but I was more than satisfied with the ocean view from the lanai. The location is great, with the International Market Place right across the street. There are also plenty of shops downstairs. I forgot to buy souvenirs the day before my final day, so I popped into Honolulu Cookies, which is open until 10:00 PM, in my pajamas. It's right in the middle of Waikiki Beach, so both the Royal Hawaiian Center and Waikiki Beach Walk are within walking distance. I was very satisfied, but as other reviews have said, it can be noisy at night. Street music can be heard until late every night. However, I enjoyed it because I thought, ”Everyone's so cheerful. It feels like I'm overseas.” There were days when I could hear something that sounded like opera, and it felt like I got a good deal. It's strange that there are so few Japanese people there, considering the location and service are so good. There are almost no Japanese people there, so it feels like I'm abroad.

GGuest UserWe were given Room 08 in the Ewa building, and the balcony view was exactly as pictured. Even though we were on a high floor, we could still faintly hear the lively party music at night, but it didn't bother our sleep. I'm not sure if it would be an issue for lower floors. Getting to the beach was super convenient – just cross the street, turn right, and you're there. The waves on this part of the beach are very gentle and consistent, so I'd recommend renting a board and heading out. The hotel providing beach towels and chairs was a nice touch and very convenient. The room itself was quite spacious, and while it felt a bit dated, the restroom and bathroom had been renovated with updated fixtures, including a Japanese toilet. The only downside is that the bathroom space felt a bit cramped.

GGuest UserThe hotel is nice for the price of low $223 but they charge $45 per day of activity fees but I never used. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the central Waikiki area but is OK. The breakfast buffet is good and includes in the room package. The only problem is that they only have valet parking for $60 per day. It took them 45 minutes in the morning to get my car down on day 1 and we missed the tour. The other days were 10 to 15 minutes. I guess they don’t have enough parking so they have to double park and triple park. I tried to park at the adjacent Banyan lot but all full after 8pm. There are no other viable option other than valet parking in the hotel.

FF415HSNI recently stayed at this hotel in the Penthouse and, overall, had a pleasant stay. However, there were several areas where the guest experience could be improved. Pros: * The location is convenient, with Waikiki Beach approximately a 15-minute walk away. * There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, although I would recommend making reservations in advance as many are very popular. * There are numerous ABC Stores nearby, making it easy to pick up snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and other essentials. * A special mention goes to Ralph, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He was friendly, approachable, and always happy to help with any questions or recommendations. He quickly became our go-to person whenever we needed assistance and is a real credit to the hotel. Cons: * Upon arrival, we were not offered the welcome drink that other guests appeared to receive. We checked in shortly after 3:00 pm, yet we saw guests arriving at around 9:30 pm the previous evening being offered welcome drinks. It was disappointing that this was not provided consistently. * We were never informed that the hotel offers complimentary beach umbrellas and chairs on a first come, first served basis. We ended up purchasing our own before accidentally overhearing another member of staff explain this benefit during another guest’s check-in. * Similarly, we only discovered that the hotel offers a complimentary walking tour after overhearing a different staff member mention it to another guest. It would have been helpful if all guests were informed about the activities and amenities available during check-in. * We booked the Penthouse expecting to fully enjoy the advertised 90-degree views. While the views themselves were excellent, the balcony was much smaller than expected and not really large enough to comfortably sit and enjoy them. * The bathroom, particularly the bathtub, felt dated and would benefit from refurbishment. * The room itself is showing its age and could do with a modern refresh. * The breakfast room is exceptionally small considering the number of guests staying at the hotel. During busy periods it becomes crowded and difficult to find seating. * One morning, a guest was allowed to bring a dog into the enclosed, air-conditioned breakfast room. To my understanding, this is not permitted under Hawaii law unless the animal is a legitimate service animal, and it made the dining experience uncomfortable. * The Skyline floor cannot be accessed using the elevator on the far left, which was inconvenient and not clearly explained. * At check-in, a $200 deposit was authorised along with an additional hold on my credit card. This extra charge was never explained by staff, and I only became aware of it after reviewing my credit card statement. Greater transparency regarding incidental holds would have been appreciated. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with helpful staff, especially Ralph, and provides a comfortable base for exploring Waikiki. However, there were several inconsistencies in communication and a number of facilities that would benefit from updating. Better communication during check-in about available amenities, clearer explanations of credit card holds, and refurbishment of the rooms would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

GGuest UserWe stayed in an ocean view room. It was very close to the sea, and the view from the lanai was absolutely stunning. I think it was one of the ocean view rooms with the best views, being so close to the ocean. I'm very grateful that we were allocated this particular room. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and pleasant, which made our stay enjoyable. The location was also excellent, close to the Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki. The only downsides were that there was no explanation about the resort points we were supposed to receive as part of our stay. Also, we booked three rooms for six people, but due to their system, we could only process payment for one room at a time. This meant I couldn't use the same credit card for the second room and had to scramble. I'd recommend bringing enough credit cards for each room you book. These two minor issues were a bit disappointing, so I deducted one star from the service rating.

AAnonymous UserI stayed three nights in a partial ocean view room and four nights in an ocean view room. If the price difference isn't significant, definitely opt for the ocean view room – the experience is so much better (the partial ocean view room barely has any ocean view to speak of). The room itself was decent, and the cleanliness was okay, but the towels had a strange smell. The hotel's location is super convenient. The second floor connects directly to the Ala Moana shopping center, and there's a Don Quijote next door, making it very easy to shop and eat. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to Waikiki, or a 30-minute walk. Personally, I prefer the nearby Ala Moana Beach, it's very chill. Car rental parking is also convenient. Parking is charged from 1 PM, costing $41 for 24 hours. [Pictures 1 & 2 show the view from Ocean View Room 1915; Picture 3 shows the view from Partial Ocean View Room 1104]

GGuest UserIt was a room with a view of the diamond head and the sea. I was a little worried about the height because I wanted a clear view of the sea, but I was satisfied with the Lanai overlooking the two without any problems. It is old as a whole, the bathtub is old, and it takes time to get hot water.
