Hotels near Southwest, Washington D.C.

This is hands down the best value hotel in the Washington D.C. area. The location is incredibly convenient. It's super close to all the museums, the White House, the Monument, the Capitol Building, and even the NBA arena. We saved a ton on taxi fares, which is great because taxis in the US are both expensive and not always safe.

The hotel is quite new and features smart controls throughout, operated by an iPad, which is perfect for solo travelers. It's less than a ten-minute walk to both the Aerospace Museum and the National Gallery, and the subway station isn't far either. On my last day, I used their luggage storage service, which was really convenient. The only thing I found a bit unusual was that they don't provide bottled water; you have to go down to the bar on the first floor to get water yourself.

Terrible hotel , sleepless nights !!! all hotel rooms equipped with very laud noisy heating system without switch off function. I complained first room and staff was very polite and offered different room and ear plugs, unfortunately didn't work. I was slipping 2 nights there with ear plugs but still hearing the noise from heater. I do not recommend this hotel if you expect normal sleep.

Hotel stay was nice, easy check in, valet was not orginized safely and had us stopping in the middle of the road to get out and offload luggage. There was not a designated, safe area for valet to handle the vehicles. Elevator smelled like sweaty workers and had poor air circulation, the hall way smelt like ****(not always a bad thing, just not at that time and place), and the most disappointing thing was the horrible service upstairs at the ”resturaunt and bar.” Service was non-existent and they were not busy in the slightest, the music was all ”hard” rap music cursing that was not appropriate at that time considering there were still families present. My wife and I sat there for 30 minutes before I had to ask the bartender to make us a drink and I had to pay the bill at the hostess stand since our waiter never came at any point.

This hotel is about 1 km from the Crystal City Metro Station, and about 200 ms from a CVS Pharmacy Store which is open 24 hours. A McDonalds is right outside the hotel, which is super convenient for a quick snack. There is free airport shuttle, but understand at some times, there is insufficient capacity for guests. For example, I arrived at 10:00pm at DCA Airport, after waiting the 30 mins for the shuttle at the airport, it arrived with no room for luggage or passengers. Told there was one more shuttle coming, (another 30 mins) so I decided to take lyft/uber for $20 to the hotel, with another guest from the hotel. While it is 1 mile from the airport, its a little difficulty with luggage. The hotel itself is old, but well maintained. The bathrooms have a noisy fan, every time the light go on. The desk is too high, and chair is not sufficient for effective computer work, because of the height issue. Still, the room is spacious and beds are comfortable. There is $50 deposit charge for incidentals per night not per stay. I requested a room with airports views and was given the best the hotel could - a glimpse through the surrounding buildings to river and some view of planes. Overall, this hotel represents very good value for money, particularly considering the 4 July celebrations. My 4 night stay was significantly less than other hotels in the area. I would certainly recommend this hotel and it is still good choice to visit Washington sights, without the high cost of hotels closer to downtown. And the walk to metro is about 10 to 15 mins.

I loved everything about this hotel—from the location and room size to the cleanliness, helpful staff, and complimentary breakfast. The only downside was the kitchenette, which had very limited functionality. It’s essentially just an extra sink alongside standard business hotel amenities like a mini-refrigerator, capsule coffee machine, and two cups. I was hoping for something a bit more useful, so that part didn’t quite meet my expectations.

The hotel is convenient for travel, and all major museums can be reached on foot in 20 minutes; the room is not big but very clean and comfortable; the American breakfast is also very delicious; the service attitude of the waiters is also very good, patient and friendly; the lobby lounge area also provides coffee and snacks; this is the best experience we have had in several visits to Washington, and we will stay in this hotel again next time we go to Washington!

It is good to be close to the subway! (about ２ minutes walk) It is an apartment type that is jointly with residents. I think it is good for long-term residents because everything you need for life is available. The person in charge is stationed at the reception, so it is good to be able to keep your luggage as well as a normal hotel. The receptionist, Micky, was a bright person, remembered his name immediately and called him by name when he entered and exited. It felt like I came to America.

It is within walking distance of the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. The room is small and there are no slippers or water heaters. Fortunately, there is free hot water and coffee in the lobby. The transportation is convenient. There is a bus at the door. The house price is naturally not cheap.

Nice big hotel, but not the cleanest. Found several different hairs in the shower, bathroom and by the bed that weren’t mine and they were different colors. Bed was comfy and the gym was really good (new, huge and clean), because it’s a private gym for people who live in the luxury building across the street. Check-in staff were friendly :).
