Hotels near Riverside Drive Welcome Center, Memphis

If this was the first Holiday Inn, I had stayed in, I would not have booked another time. Our bathroom was not clean, the room was stocked only with decaf coffee and when I called the front desk, they said they didn’t have any that I’d have to wait until the maids came in. When we went down for breakfast, they were out of most everything. They had a waffle maker, but no waffle batter, oatmeal toppings but no oatmeal and the juice machine was broken. When I asked the girl at the front desk if they had it, her answer was just “nope.”

Overall very low quality for a Hampton Inn. Nice staff, very old building and sketchy adjacent parking garage, elevator broken, pan handlers galore, too close to annoying homeless, ******** ***, and drunks. I walked to FedEx, then to post office, and back to the Hampton Inn today (3 blocks total) and an older man on a bicycle followed me for five minutes shouting insults and racist slurs because a i refused to give him money as I exited FedEx. There is an abundant police presence in the area but if you leave the main three blocks of Beale, drunks are hassling people for alcohol. Very sad for the well-intentioned and hard-working locals. 👎. The breakfast at Hampton Inn was pretty good except for the gravy. This was a grey soup, not sausage gravy. Biscuits were terrific as was the staff person on duty.

This is a great hotel with nice clean rooms and comfy bed. Lovely big TV in the room with accessible HDMI port for bringing your own device. I know you don’t book into a hotel to lie and watch TV but it’s nice to catch up on things after a long day out. Location is excellent as no more than 10 min walk to downtown Beale St, and 20 mins to Sun Studios, where the magic began. Reception being renovated while we were there so not quite as functional as it should be but staff were terrific and incredibly polite. Rocky the concierge/manager was a bundle of fun and provided some great info on what to do in this great city 👍

This may have been our best hotel stay, ever. This hotel is great! Everyone that works there, is wonderful! From checking in, to the valets, everybody was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is so clean, and everything in the room worked. The room had a microwave & mini fridge, most only have a mini fridge. It’s in a perfect location! A short walk to Texas de Brazil, or Fed Ex Forum, or the Red Birds stadium. This will be where we stay, anytime we’re in Memphis. I highly recommend it! I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Just wonderful!

Great location! Staff was very friendly. Pretty good breakfast spread. We had a junior suite Room 607 which was spacious. The water pressure for the shower and tub was great and lots of hot water too. A few notes on the downside. We asked for an extra blanket for the room and they didn’t have one and said they would bring one up when they found one. But never did. We stayed two night and they did make the bed between nights which was great! Howe er they did not resolves with any new towels. And a small note is the plug in the shower was a bit worn so it took some doing to get it to work k so my wife could take a bath.

Very nice hotel. Very clean & well kept. Breakfast was quite nice too. Would encourage friends and others to use this hotel when traveling. (Only 2 issues) The ladies working at the front desk spoke Hindi to each other rather than English, while a guest waited to be helped. Seemed a bit rude. Could have been extenuating circumstances? And, I was ask to sign & initial a form at check in, but was not given a copy. That should be corrected in the future with your desk personnel. All said tho! Pleasant stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a great time peaceful I was able to get some great sleep and the room was very neat and clean smell fresh the staff members were very polite I loved my stay at the hotel

The motel is very close to the center so it is very easy and comfortable to get there. The good thing was that it is in a gated property so at least it feels safe. I reserved a room for three people but they provided just two sets of towels. The room had the basic. TV, no fridge. The main problem I had was the clean. The room did not feel clean at all. The beds were changed, but under the bed the dust and dirt was disgusting. The floor probably has not been clean from a very long time and there was a condom wrap open under the bed. The walls and doors had spots all over . Overpriced for what you get.

The hotel have some good and bad advantages.They need to hire some more employees that cares about the hotel not just getting a pay check. They didn't have any good but vending machines. Some not all of the staff is helpful and they need to learn how to clean.
