"Stayed for two days. I felt uncomfortable on the first day. There were many homeless people around. The breakfast was small and simple. The room and bed were OK. I got used to it on the second day and felt it was OK."

"The hygiene and facilities were just okay. The dorm room wasn't well-ventilated and had a strange odor, and the mattress had stains. The only upside was the really good location, very close to Union Square. For this price in downtown San Francisco, you can't really ask for more. There's no dedicated parking, but there are street parking spots right outside, and it's also very close to the cable car route. Plus, the hostel itself organizes some activities if you're interested in joining."

"Everything about this place was fantastic. The service, the cleanliness, the facilities, etc. The only thing that wasn't perfect was getting back to the hotel at night, because some of the surrounding streets seemed a bit dangerous, but that's not the hotel's fault."

"我覺得房間很好～在日本城，吃的店很多。超市和一元店都在這條街上，步行可達。有停車場，車位不少，費用另算，日本城這裏也有停車場，臨停便宜。服務員態度很好，特別nice，所有服務人員都很熱情。所謂的destinations 費用，雖然不知道是啥，但是也是攜程事先告知的。大堂很大，很多座位，聚會聊天都OK，還有免費的咖啡——不是美式咖啡，重説三！健身房超大，剛好週末，一個小時內完全獨佔。早餐很豐富，周邊的店早上沒這麼早開門，可以嘗試一樓的早餐。去SFO機場加上小費70美金，前台會安排，司機很早就到了。"

"This is my experience with Union Hotel. What you see is what you get. If you are not that choosy for a quick stay (2-3 nights) should I say, then you can stay here, less expensive and economically sound for a traveler. However, there are only 2 toilet rooms and 1 shower room per floor with 12-15 single/double bed rooms sharing that amenities. This is a 4 story cute hotel, and there is no elevator. So watch out if you carry heavy luggage as it will burden you. There is no front desk like a typical hotel, you need to enter a gated (with buzzer) door, and the owner will meet you at the approaching alley in the 2nd Floor. Although there is a small lavatory inside the room. No A/C nor heater also. No blower as well. The location is very near at the 16th Street Bart Station but need to caution you during night time as this area is in Mission district and maybe “not so normal” people around the corner doing lot of things (I cannot confirm if they are doing bad, as I didn’t get closer to them), plenty of street dwellers also are present in the neighborhood, just be careful with your belongings when getting in the sideways."

"The location was good and convenient, although there were a few homeless people nearby. The room was a little small, but it was clean and comfortable enough for our stay. The main issue was the air conditioning, which could definitely be improved. Overall, a decent place for the price."

"Location: Excellent Value for money: Excellent (But only for solo travelers) If you think of it as a hotel, it's not great, but I think the biggest advantage is that for just 1.5 times the price of a guesthouse, you can get a private room."

"We found Cow Hollow Inn and Suites about 20 years ago. It has become our favorite place to stay in the City. It is always very clean, the staff is always helpful, the parking is free and it is in one of the best locations in the City. Wonderful and fun restaurants and bars along Chestnut Street. Perfect for morning walks to the Palace of Fine Arts and the Marina Green. And, the adjacent restaurant, Home Plate is very good and convenient for breakfast. The recent remodel makes it even better!"
