The Perfect Location First off, the location is unbeatable for anyone who wants to avoid the chaotic traffic of central Bangkok while staying perfectly connected. Being just a short stroll from the BTS Wongwian Yai station made my commutes—even late at night to places like Sala Daeng—incredibly smooth and stress-free. It’s the ideal base for exploring the city’s vibrant energy without the noise. A Creator-Friendly Aesthetic The room itself was a pleasant surprise. The minimalist, modern aesthetic is a dream for photography and video shoots—very ”on-brand” for my social media feed. The natural lighting and clean lines provided a sophisticated backdrop for my daily vlogs. More importantly, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which is a total non-negotiable for me when I need to upload high-quality content on the fly."

"Great hotel, big soft bed, everything is very clean, breafast is great and the staff is very kind. Great location at a few hundred meters from Wongwian Yai bts and also the trainstation to talad phlu and maha chai. We love the neighbourhood. We will hopefully stay again!"

"The room was good but very basic. We booked the 2 bedrooms but the sofa was only for 2 ppl and not comfortable. The maid service is very late, normally didn't get to our room until 6pm. The shower was either too hot or not hot at all. There were only coffees and no teas in the room. The location is excellent. We love the markets. The ice-cream sold in the lobby was super delicious. It's definitely worth the current price. If the price stay the same, we will definitely come again."

"This hotel is great, very quiet but it's a bit far from the center but that's okay, the hotel price is cheap which is a positive point I really like. but there was a problem when I was there: the bathroom drain was clogged and didn't drain smoothly. Here you must use good public services to reduce travel costs to the center. The staff were great, they were friendly and check out was extremely fast, I was extremely surprised. "Nice hotel with a wonderful restaurant (that was the main reason we chose it for the second time). It’s a bit far from the city center though, and the transportation in Bangkok is not cheap. The staff was very nice, but we had an issue during the check in. Even at 6pm our room wasn’t ready (check in time is 2pm), and that was after the overnight flight. They gave us french fries and two mocktails that kept us busy for another 40 min, and only 20 to 7 we got the room. Except this, everything was fine."

"Just got back from Bangkok, and my stay at the Sathorn Star Hotel was absolutely fantastic – I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok! The hotel's biggest plus is its location. It's only a 3-5 minute walk to the BTS Wongwian Yai station, which offers direct access to Siam station. Downstairs, there's a 7-Eleven and numerous authentic street food stalls with super affordable prices (each dish is less than 20 RMB), making daily life incredibly convenient. The hotel owner is *********, so there's Chinese service available, making communication completely seamless. This was a huge comfort for us first-time visitors to Thailand. The owner is very welcoming and proactively offers travel advice, and can even help arrange airport transfers and private car services, which saved us a lot of hassle. (Bangkok traffic is notoriously busy; we arrived at 2 PM on a Saturday, waited 20 minutes for a Grab, and the taxi fare plus tolls ended up being more expensive than the owner's airport transfer offer 😭). We were two adults and two children, and we booked the Japanese tatami room. It was cozily designed and very well-maintained. The cleanliness was also satisfactory, the bedding was comfortable, and house-keeping was provided daily. The facilities are in good condition, and there's an elevator, which is very convenient for guests with luggage."

"I was planning to book a stay with my partner to just relax. Overall, the hotel is great. They provide all the information about facilities and other notes before check-in. The reception staff are super friendly. The only issue is that for first-timers, if you don't call a car, some people might get lost. For example, my friend drove himself, and the map told him to go through Soi 48, but if you come from Soi 21, it's a straight shot and you'll arrive directly."

"I've stayed here before, which is why I chose this hotel again for my trip to Bangkok. However, this time my room was facing the street and the soundproofing was terrible; I couldn't sleep a wink all night because of the noise. Check-in, check-out, and getting my luggage all took a very long time. It was a really unpleasant experience."
