Good....aircon, quiet at night, switched on staff, location a short walk to the beach clean room, stayed in room 206.
Room for improvement...breakfast could be better, eggs were cold, better if cooked to order, having omelette as an option would be good.

Couldn't book my preferred hotel on Koh Samet, so I just settled for one night here. To my surprise, it was quite lovely and clean, and the room was spacious enough. All the staff were incredibly friendly. Although the facilities weren't top-notch, for about 200 baht, what more could you ask for? I'm giving it a full 5 stars because of the excellent service. The only thing to note is that the soundproofing is quite poor, and my neighbors happened to disturb my rest, but it still doesn't stop me from liking this place. It's quiet with a gentle breeze… a perfect transit spot.

Excellent price and quality ratio. A small cozy hotel is practically on the beach, our room was mainly a building with balcony and sea view. Breakfast is average but there is an opportunity to buy something extra for breakfast. Room cleaning is daily. Sunset is simple, the only shower is filling the whole floor in the toilet. The beach across the road is very beautiful and practically uncrowded. Nearby there is a shop 7/11. Hotel recommends

The room is very clean and close to Tongpei Wharf, just an 8-minute walk away, with delicious food available along the way. A big thank you to the front desk guy. I left my diving gear in the room, and he rode a motorcycle all the way to find me and return it. Many thanks to him—I'll stay here again next time.

Excellent! It's close to the beach and has a swimming pool for the kids. Getting there was easy, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. The accommodation was peaceful, but the air conditioning in the room was very noisy because it's old. Everything else was great, and the service was good too. It's perfect for a family vacation where you truly want to relax. There's not much traffic passing by, so it's incredibly quiet.

This newly opened hotel is, in my opinion, one of the best on Koh Samet. Most places on the island are typically guesthouses, regardless of their star rating, but this one actually feels like a proper hotel. The towels are very thick, amenities are provided, and there's even a laundry bag. The toilet is Kohler, the TV is TCL, and the room is spacious and, surprisingly, very clean. The only minor downsides might be the slightly low water pressure and the somewhat noisy air conditioning, but these are small issues in an otherwise great stay. It has its own quiet beach, and I'm very satisfied with everything. It's been a long time since I've stayed in a hotel I've been this happy with. Of course, I'm comparing it to the older, often overpriced guesthouses on the island – this hotel is an absolute gem! The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast is a buffet, which is quite extensive for a hotel of this size. If it's priced at 600-700 baht, it's an incredibly good deal for this island!

This is a good low budget option to experience island life, but not that low budget £60 per night ( January 2026)
We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well.
The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay.
There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely.
Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage.
Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space.
It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV.
The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous.
Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality.
However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently.
Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai.
Toast cereal and tea & coffee.
The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

The location is very good. Walk across the road to the beach. The sand is fine, the sea water is clear, you can swim. There are many things to buy in front of the beach. It is also near a 7-11 store. As for the room, we chose a room to watch the waves. It has 2 large beds, can accommodate 4 people. The room and breakfast are not luxurious and expensive, but it is okay and not difficult. The refrigerator and TV do not work. When plugged in, the electricity does not work. There is no hair dryer or slippers in the room. The bathroom does not separate the wet and dry zones. But it is not a problem for us. If there is a chance to come back to visit, we will definitely choose to stay here again.

Amazing
XxsnrpyMy stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Rayong far exceeded my expectations, truly a top-quality choice in the heart of Rayong. The hotel's location is superb, right next to Central Rayong shopping mall and within walking distance of the Ko Kloi floating market. This makes shopping, dining, and getting around incredibly convenient. It offers a peaceful retreat while still being close to all the amenities you could need.
As a new hotel opened in 2024, all the facilities are brand new and modern, with a simple yet elegant design and warm, bright color schemes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive views and excellent natural light. Some corner rooms even boast three-sided views overlooking the city of Rayong. The bedding is soft, the bathroom is clean and well-maintained with complete amenities, and the WiFi is stable, ensuring maximum comfort during your stay.
GGuest UserOver all great experience.
From the ao prao pier to kho Samet, the boat ride was smooth and when we got there, unfortunately our rooms were not ready but changed in the toilet and was able to enjoy the beach and pool while we waited.
Walking distance to the down town where lots of restaurants.
Hotel's restaurant was good. Delicious breakfast with many choices of bread, cheese, fruits and hot dishes. Everything was quite tasty. Dinner at the beach club Winnks was good, too.Live band performance, on site fire show. Foods were good and drinks were amazing.
Maybe it is because of the season we traveled but the waves were quite strong and water did not seem clear.
I have been to ao prao beach before and I believe for a family with small children, I recommend there.
If you are group of friends looking for excitement, maybe here is better.
AAnonymous UserEverything was great, I liked it. The beach is right across the street from the hotel. Transportation is good. There's a restaurant where you can sit and look at the ocean. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and have everything you need.
CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.
GGuest UserService: First off, a huge shout-out to the service! Our trip was a bit rushed, and all the rooms were booked up. We originally wanted to stay for three nights, but the middle night was Valentine's Day, and it was so popular that we couldn't get a reservation. I thought it would be easy to find another hotel, but there was nothing available. A guy at the front desk named James was an absolute lifesaver! From the moment I asked him, he not only helped coordinate rooms at their own hotel but, more importantly, he continuously helped me contact other hotels and made reservations for us without hesitation. Otherwise, we would have been sleeping on the streets! There was also a lovely lady at the front desk who was incredibly helpful. A big thank you to both of them.
Environment: I absolutely loved the hotel's environment! The beach is right there, connected to the hotel. It's not a sandy beach, but the best part is that you can go clamming and crabbing there – we found moon snails, bullseye snails, turret snails, and even various sea cucumbers and crabs! It's perfect for families with kids.
Facilities: The hotel seems to have been newly renovated and it's done really well. Everything is very new, so there's no hesitation about staying here. The breakfast was also good.
If we ever come back to Koh Samet, we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again!
SSunéKWe had such a lovely stay at The Salil Hotel Sukhumvit 57 – Thonglor and would absolutely come back again.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Thonglor, close to great restaurants, cafes, and nightlife, but still peaceful enough to relax properly. It made getting around Bangkok very easy.
The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and everything was spotless. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made our stay feel effortless.
Breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a great variety of options, fresh ingredients, and something for every mood. It was the perfect way to start each day.
Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and always helpful. From check in to check out, they made us feel welcome and taken care of.
Overall, such a great experience. Comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserNice little split level duplex. 2 queen beds on upper level , with glass sliding door and own ac. Big double day bed and massive TV downstairs. Fridge and kettle. Separate shower and toilet. Bit of a communal seating area right outside. Owners very good communication and helpful. Rented scooter for 300.
GGuest UserThis hotel gave me a very mixed impression. It's located right on the beach, and the only access is from the beach itself. You'll have to carry your luggage across the sand (though the hotel does have porters if you ask at the front desk). We didn't know this when we checked in, as this detail wasn't in the hotel description. We arrived in the evening and had to drag a huge suitcase 15 meters across the sandy beach in sneakers, dodging people dining at tables. Our room was booked for the 1st floor (booking photo attached), but we were assigned a corner room on the 3rd floor. We spent the next three days trying to sort it out with the hotel. They admitted their mistake and promised to move us, but never did, even though 1st-floor rooms were available during our stay. In room 31B, the Wi-Fi signal was completely non-existent. I had to go out onto the balcony every time and stretch my arm with my phone towards the pool. The internet on the beach also worked poorly. The Wi-Fi was only good by the pool. The TV in our room also didn't work.
However, this was probably one of the few rooms in the hotel where you didn't need to draw the curtains, as the balcony view was of a wall (most rooms have glass windows and face each other). The hotel has a restaurant with some tables right on the beach; the menu is quite extensive, and the prices aren't inflated. The beach is nice, and the sea is magnificent. Breakfasts were good, with a wide selection, and the room was cleaned daily, with water provided. There's a pier about 15 meters from the hotel, and you can arrive and depart directly from there (300 baht per person). Near the hotel, there's a small shop, several restaurants along the beach, and bike rentals available. The reception can also call a tuk-tuk for you. On weekends, the reception and restaurant were open until 11 PM, and on weekdays until 9-10 PM.
GGuest UserThe location is convenient, just a few meters from the sea, and close to the lively areas too. The hotel itself is in a relatively quiet spot, and I say 'relatively quiet' because it's surrounded by lush vegetation. Many birds start their dawn chorus early in the morning, which is actually lovely – waking up to the sounds of different birds is quite nice. The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms aren't large, but they do clean upon request. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. We really enjoyed it, though our noisy neighbors who were playing loud music and singing spoiled it a little. However, the hotel staff quickly quieted them down by asking them to keep it down.
