"Pleasant stay, deep (and high) in the jungle 💚
If you love green and natures you'll love this place so much
The place looks great, but those stairs are very steep. So you need to be quite fit
In the room, you have king size bed with 4 pillows. Good air-conditioner to cool the place down during the day.
Free bottle of water and Coca cola. Kettle pot to make hot coffee & tea. Also 55 inches TV with free movies, music, YouTube & Netflix! A good big bench to sit next to the big window also. Toilet is good condition just the pressure of water not strong enough for me.
A few things that I didn't like.
1. You bought a ocean view room but I don't have the view because the staff put me in the first room hidden by the forest 😆 So the tall trees just cut my view. And she said, this room has no view but air conditioner works very well and you will have no problem with the sun shine in the morning (probably because of the trees) but I still wanted my ocean view. So if the hotel owner doesn't plan to cut the tree to have an ocean view, then...please consider change the room name.
2. Cleanliness of pillow case. It smells pretty bad like กลิ่นอับชื้น first I thought it's from my dirty clothes but apparently it was not. It was the smell of the pillow. It smelled like a clothes that you dry it without sun...so after I found out about the smell from the pillow. I wasn't sure if it was cleaned or not after that last checked out.
3. Used soap is at the sink after I checked in. You should clean up everything new before giving the room to new customer.
But there is only 1 lady staff who take care of these 8 rooms so I guess if it full every day. It's hard to go up and down those stairs to do everything by herself.
The rest is good, just make sure you improve about the cleanliness. Thank you !!
Taxi service in the morning to the port at 8 am 250 baht to the make staff. Thank you !!"
"We booked the deluxe villa with a bathroom because I was particularly drawn to the design of having a small pool in the courtyard. I used it daily, and the privacy felt palpable once I locked the front door. The rooms were well-separated, featuring a cozy living room with a ceiling fan, tables, chairs, and a TV. The bedroom and bathroom were decent-sized and equipped with all the essentials.
The daily coffee and bottled water were a pleasant surprise. However, the reception staff were friendly, but the restaurant, bar, and breakfast staff were cold and unfriendly. We only needed to request a room cleaning once, and it was done quickly, but it didn’t feel thorough. Three ladies arrived with cleaning supplies, but they left within 3-5 minutes, changing the towels and water, but not doing much else.
We believe you should request a room cleaning, at least that’s what we felt. The breakfast was basic and didn’t get replenished quickly. One morning, we had breakfast and discovered that the milk was spoiled. It had mixed with our coffee and cereal, so we had to leave it. The staff were always cold and unfriendly during breakfast and later at the bar and restaurant.
On the positive side, the view from the pool was excellent, and it was peaceful and relaxing to be there. However, I noticed some weeds and smoke around the area, which made me feel a bit sick after inhaling it for a while, even though I’m a non-smoker.
Also, there is a nice 711 across the road from the hotel, and it’s in walking distance to get to the haad rin beach"
"Taken one room, was near the pool, in the evening was very quiet, the room is comfortable, there is all the facilities in the bathroom.
Excellent price and quality ratio!"
"This place was alright. It was directly right by the sea with a nice beach front. The waves were large and a lot of fun to swim in. You cannot check in early. The room is average, furniture is dated and the bed is hard. The reception takes a long time to check out. They check the room for every cup, towel and thing in the room before returning the 1000 baht deposit. There were many families there with loud, young children who wake up very early. If you don’t like this, it would be suggested to keep looking as it seemed to be very family oriented with rooms closely connecting. It felt like we were in the middle of a family or travelling group of friends with kids. Probably would pass on staying here again as there are better located and nicer places available in Ko Phagnan."
"The room was nice, but a little on the small side. It was clean and tidy, but you need to make sure to request the cleaning service on the days you want it. The pool is nice, but very child friendly - if you’re imagining a relaxed quiet environment to have a drink and read - this isn’t the place for you. Same goes for people paying extra for pool front bungalows - expect the environment of a primary school playground at your doorstep between the hours of 7am to 6pm. The beach is lovely and the staff are helpful when asked."
"The place is very relaxing, on a beach in the middle of the forest. It is located in a national park. To get there you have to take the 4 × 4 or the boat, but if you ask the hotel for help, they will book transport for you free of charge. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious. The only downside is that the water comes out a bit brownish, because it comes from the local water supply tanks and is not connected to the city's water system. So the bathtub shown in the photos is not usable unless you want to bathe in cold, brownish water. Otherwise it was a nice stay."
"Attention, for whom it is important, the beds are very hard! They always gave me back pain in the morning. There is a river next to the hotel, which causes the smell of dampness and mold in the rooms!
The hotel is located on a hill on a mountain, to get to it you need to climb up the mountain, for those who have difficulty with this, be careful when choosing a hotel! The hotel also has steep stairs, many steps, which are very difficult to climb in the heat.
The hotel staff is very kind and helpful, helping with everything. When we left, I helped at the reception to buy ferry tickets and call a transfer, 200 baht per person.
Good breakfast, taxi boats nearby and the best restaurant on the beach on the left side.
I wrote about important points, if you have any questions, please contact me."
"Very nice place for a real holiday. Staff professional, food in the restaurant is delicious and portions are big, it is quite possible to take one portion for two. And it is so beautiful that everything else is not important at all. But if you are looking for the goods of civilization, here they are at least."
"He long sought a reservation.
It was not a large room, but 2 rooms with 1st Sanus.
The glass is not dark and everything is visible from the street - you have to hang out. From here the meaning of the view on the sea is lost. All the state is gonna see that inside without curtains. In the bathroom water on the floor constantly - you walk with wet feet. Still the womb of departure is not 12 hours but 11 hours. Suddenly - I had to go without breakfast. Ducked into the door, prevented to gather. at 6 a.m. woke up from the macak or something else - knock on the roof. at 9 o'clock the builders started to work. at night the guests were heard from the dining room well. sound isolation minimum."

Amazing
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Kupu Kupu Phangan and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained—ideal for relaxation and well-being.
A very special thank you goes to the fantastic team, especially Bank, AD, Micky, San, Aek, Lin, Ziny, Nonoe, and Foam. Everyone was always warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly.
We were particularly touched by the loving and patient way our son was treated. As a family, we felt welcome from the very first moment.
We would love to return and wholeheartedly recommend Kupu Kupu Phangan.
GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived, the service was perfect. The location and facilities are great! It's close to the port and many local shops. Plus, they have a restaurant with delicious food. The hotel is very well-maintained, and the rooms are spectacular. Don't hesitate to book!
SSvtloveartWe arrived with three friends and booked a deluxe room, but another person joined us mid-stay. Upon check-in, they asked for everyone's passports (and made copies), refused to upgrade our room, and also refused to allow all four of us to share the same room. But our friend was lucky; there was one standard room available, so we booked it. Excellent hotel. Breakfast is buffet style, with vouchers, and there are cakes and a variety of desserts. We really enjoyed it.
AAnonymous UserA wonderful beach hotel! The grounds aren't huge, but they're very green and well-maintained. The bungalows are super cozy and charming. From any bungalow, it's no more than a 1-minute walk to the beach. There's a restaurant on-site serving both European and Thai cuisine. For breakfast, I even found oatmeal with mango! The beach is beautiful and long enough for a nice stroll. The sand is incredibly soft and fine. It does get a bit shallow at low tide. There's a Seven-Eleven about a 7-minute walk from the hotel along the main road.
GGuest UserGreat stay, all of the staff were hard working, and friendly but Catalina, Moe and Aaron were exceptional and a credit to the team. Good location, comfortable room, big pool, plenty of beds, direct access to the beach, fabulous sunsets snd a short walk to Haadrin Walking Street, restaurants and its beach. The only negative was that smoking was permitted around the pool, it would’ve been a more pleasant experience if there were smoking and none smoking areas and it was enforced by staff.
BBrittaKLovely staff and great location. Huts very basic but great for the price. Unfortunately could not see much of the ocean from the ocean view room we were in.
Could use some fresh towels, ours were very old with holes in them and the bed could use an upgrade, sweaked everytime you moved.
But the owners were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Plus very friendly monkeys came to visit in the morning!
GGuest UserI had a pretty good stay at the pier in one of the bungalows. My only complaint is that my bungalow was full of cracks that allowed insects to enter and I ended up with several bug bites all over my feet and legs. I was also able to watch ants consistently come in and out of the cracks where the wall meets the floor. Other than the bugs I had a good stay.
GGuest UserStayed with my friends for one night. The location next to the night market is super convenient. We didn't check how far it was to the beach, as that wasn't our focus. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Everything looked lovely. We especially loved having direct access from our room to the pool – that was amazing! Big thanks, if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back ❤️ (They even made adorable swans out of towels) 🥹🥹🥹
GGuest Userlove the resort but only one prob for us was the accom we got was too close to the main street so we hear all the car and feel all the bump whole night but the resort and style itself very nice and good price soooo happy
