I would recommend this hotel for its amazing and high quality service. The room was completely packed and clean. The staff are amazing and very polite and friendly, very welcoming and helpful every time. The room we booked is bigger that I thought. The price is cheap and the pool is very nice. Although our room is a bit far from the entrance, I would say my family enjoyed staying here. We really liked this hotel very much. I can’t anything else but thank you for the amazing staff whom are very professional and helpful. This hotel is very nice.

Beautiful hotel, convenient location. Walking distance to the main shopping area, 7/11 right next door for my amenities or snacks. Lobby bar and dining area. Pool and jacuzzi was amazing, used them 2 of the full days I had there, very relaxing. Taxi services always waiting on front if you don't want to walk, I recommend walking. Would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Bangkok

The hotel has its upsides: spacious rooms, and a family room with two 1.5-meter beds, which is a rare find in Bangkok. I booked a family room with breakfast and free cancellation for 600 RMB during Chinese New Year, and it even had a balcony – all definite pluses! It's a good choice for families with kids, especially if the price is right. However, the downsides are also pretty clear: the facilities are old, there's a persistent humming noise that I couldn't pinpoint, and a lack of power outlets. The area around the hotel entrance is heavily congested, so getting a taxi usually means a 15-minute wait. There aren't many restaurants or massage places nearby, though you can walk to the Ratchadamnoen Boxing Stadium in about 10 minutes. Despite my request, I wasn't given an end room. The hotel staff seemed more enthusiastic towards Western guests, and the breakfast was mediocre – definitely not worth paying extra for if it's not included.

10/10 Not broken at all, clean, pleasant, quiet accommodation, just book online, a small room. One bed, but the day of stay has another daughter But the owner is very kind. Change the room to a newer, bigger than before. And do not charge more services as well, very impressed and the service staff is very good. If there is a chance to come back Use the service again for sure.

Similar to a budget hotel, it has a good location in the old city, quiet in the bustling area. It is about 3 kilometers away from the main attractions, with high cost performance, suitable for traveling and staying for a period of time.

Other appreciated touches included the 24/7 complimentary coffee/tea station in the lobby and the convenient luggage-weighing scale—perfect for those planning a shopping spree at nearby MBK or Platinum Fashion Mall. Location & Local Vibe While the hotel is in a ”slower” part of the district, stepping around the corner reveals a vibrant local scene. There are multiple 7-Elevens nearby and an abundance of affordable street food stalls and massage shops that provide a much more authentic experience than the typical tourist traps. Minor Considerations • Space: Like many boutique hotels in central Bangkok, the rooms (especially the Smart King) are cozy. If you have large suitcases, you might find it a bit tight. • Sound: Soundproofing could be improved, as noise from the hallway can occasionally drift into the room. Overall Verdict: With its stylish design, superb breakfast buffet, and top-tier service, VELA be Bangkok Ratchathewi offers incredible value for money. It is an ideal choice for travelers who want to be near the city center without sacrificing the quiet, local feel of a traditional neighborhood. I would certainly return for those pillows alone!

The location is convenient, and the room size is just right with no strange odors. It's a great spot, only a ten-minute walk to Khao San Road. There's a convenience store downstairs, and just a bit further, there's a street vendor selling amazing grilled pork and Tom Yum soup!

I booked this hotel last minute, and it was bigger than I expected. The room was clean and tidy. There's a 7-Eleven just a short walk from the hotel entrance, along with some street stalls. The room rate was quite reasonable too. I recall the deposit being either 1000 baht or 200 RMB. The location is a bit far from the nearest MRT station. It took about 20 minutes by taxi from Phaya Thai, and there was some traffic. However, there's a bus stop about a five-minute walk away, which offers a direct route to the CentralWorld shopping area.

Very good accommodation experience, the hotel is very clean and well designed. Living on the fifth floor has a semi-independent and very comfortable outdoor courtyard space. The bathroom area is also very large, very suitable for taking a bath and resting. The front desk is also very friendly and polite. The only thing is that the noise of cars at night is still a bit loud on the street, which can be solved with earplugs…
