Hotels near Smolny Cathedral, Saint Petersburg

Overall satisfactory, but the duplex is actually very inconvenient. You have to go downstairs to go to the toilet at night; but the location is excellent, the Winter Palace, the Blood Cathedral, and Nevsky Street are all walking.

Clean, neat and tidy room equipped with cooking equipment, hair dryer, clothes iron, usb charging ports and other useful amenities for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is likewise neat and tidy, with a towel dryer, sufficient lighting and personal care products available . The staff was very helpful and conversational in English, the signages and announcements are translated into English and Chinese which makes it a very hospitable place for non-Russian speaking travelers. The hotel itself is situated about 15 minutes away by car from Pulkovo Airport and in walking distance of buses which bring you to the metro station/St Petersburg city center. Across the hotel, there is a supermarket (Pyaterochka, opened until 11pm) and some small restaurants. Definitely worth it!

We stayed for two days around our wedding, and everything was magnificent. The staff was incredibly responsive; we requested a larger room with a terrace, and they accommodated our wish. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a lovely complimentary dessert and a bottle of Prosecco in our room, which was an incredibly pleasant surprise. The bed was soft and very comfortable, ensuring we had excellent sleep. The room itself was spacious, and we could even order breakfast to our terrace, which offered an impressive view of St. Isaac's Cathedral. Speaking of breakfast, it was delicious and diverse, featuring desserts, salmon, vegetables, blinis, caviar, and Prosecco. You could also order à la carte. Our room was 537, one of those with large terraces and a direct view of the cathedral, making it perfect for wedding or any other photography.

The hotel is delightful! It's not my first time in St. Petersburg, and I've stayed in many places, but I've never encountered such friendly staff anywhere else! All the employees were super welcoming and left only a positive impression! The hotel is literally a 3-5 minute walk from St. Isaac's Cathedral. There's also a pier just a minute away where you can take boat tours along the canals. Yusupov Palace is very close by (about a 10-minute walk) (not directly relevant to this review, but I highly recommend visiting it too!). Also, in about 5-7 minutes from the hotel, you'll be on Nevsky Prospekt, where other attractions are located. The hotel's location is truly excellent, right in the city center, yet without the noisy crowds of Nevsky! Regarding the rooms, we stayed in a double room on the fifth floor, and we absolutely loved it! It had everything we needed! Our stay included breakfast, and when we booked the hotel, we read rave reviews, and all those reviews were true. The breakfast is indeed very impressive! So definitely book with breakfast, you won't regret it! The hairdryer in our room broke, so we called reception, and literally a minute later, a new one was brought to us. I honestly haven't seen such a quick response anywhere else. The only minor drawback I can mention is that to get to the elevator, you have to walk down a corridor on the first floor where rooms are located. But that's not even really a drawback, just a characteristic of this particular hotel. In summary: price, quality, location, staff – everything is top-notch! I highly recommend it! And from now on, I'll only stay here!

They let us check in an hour early, which was a very pleasant surprise! 😊 The room was good and well-equipped with everything you need: bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes, a kettle, coffee, and tea. However, the cleaning before our arrival wasn't thorough. There were black hairs on the bathroom floor, which was a bit disappointing. Daily cleaning was provided, and the water, coffee, and tea were replenished every day. The breakfast was excellent, but if you arrive around 10 AM, finding a seat might be a challenge. Sometimes we were asked to wait 20 minutes because it was fully booked. I popped into the beauty salon on the ground floor to get my hair styled for an event. My hair was already washed and wet. I just asked them to dry and style it with a hairdryer. I have a bob above my shoulders. They charged 3500 (Ruble), even though the price list indicated a different amount. I didn't bother to dispute it as I was really short on time. Overall, I liked the hotel and think I'll return again.

The hotel's location on Ctrip's map is incorrect. It's not directly on Nevsky Prospekt, but rather on a wider side street off Nevsky Prospekt, with cobblestone roads on either side and a broad pedestrian walkway in the middle (the entrance is about 100m from Nevsky Prospekt). Despite this, the location is excellent, as it's close to attractions like Kazan Cathedral, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, and the Winter Palace. The hotel's exterior is currently undergoing renovations (and it's not just this hotel; the entire area has scaffolding for facade work). Because of this, room windows cannot be opened, and there's no air conditioning, though fans are provided. We stayed for 4 nights. On the first night, we were in a room on the right side of the corridor. With the outdoor temperature at 10 degrees Celsius, the indoor temperature felt at least 25 degrees or more, and the bathroom was even hotter. We had the fan on all night, but it was really uncomfortable. On the second day, we informed the front desk that the room was too hot and asked for a solution. The hotel agreed to switch our room. Since the new room they offered was slightly larger and on the opposite side (the left side of the corridor), they asked us to pay an additional 800 rubles per night. As staying in the original room was unbearable, we had no choice but to agree. The subsequent 3 nights were much more comfortable, and we didn't even need the fan, but that was when the outdoor temperature was only 10 degrees Celsius. Due to the ongoing renovations, the hotel breakfast currently offers a choice of 1 out of 3 set meals, along with coffee, bread, and fruit.

Rating: 7/10. Top location, but mind the shared facilities!Pros: Unbeatable location just 3 minutes from Moskovsky Railway Station and the Galeria mall. The loft-style design looks great, it’s clean, and the Wi-Fi is fast. The contactless self-check-in via electronic keycodes works seamlessly. There is a cozy shared kitchen area equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, tableware, and complimentary tea/coffee.Cons: There are only 2 toilets and 1 shower for 7–8 rooms. When the place is fully booked, waiting lines are inevitable, which can be frustrating. Soundproofing is weak due to thin walls. Check-in and check-out times are strict (strictly from 2:00 PM and before 12:00 PM respectively). Since it's fully contactless, early arrival or late departure is hard to arrange, so plan your transit carefully.

Small hotel, small room. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with good fixtures. The shower was a niche with a curtain. Breakfast is included and is a decent buffet: semolina porridge, omelets, eggs, sausages, pasta, salad, casserole, cheese, cold cuts, and various cereals and milk. However, coffee from the machine costs extra. Overall, for 2,800 rubles, it's a perfectly good option!

We stayed for 3 nights in Saint Petersburg. So 1) location: The hotel is in a quiet locality and is almost unrecognizable. Does not look like a hotel from the outside 2) Staff support: The staff speaks minimal english 3) Service: The hotel does not have breakfast or a restaurant, but there are restaurants and cafes within walking distance (10 minutes), so workable; and the elevator makes quite a noise, but it's workable/safe. 4) Overall experience: Bad - Mediocre: No one helps you out with the luggage, even when they see you are struggling. I am not sure if that is the norm here in Russia. no courtesy, no support/ no extra help for any sort. I guess kindness is chargeable in Russia. Not just this hotel, every hotel we stayed in Russia, I saw no one helping families or even asking for help. Just cold, transactional behavior.

This hotel is really great! It's perfect for a private getaway with your girlfriend, you can cook your own meals, there are plenty of shops nearby, and it's close to the metro. The staff are very polite, and you can even store your luggage both at check-in and check-out. It has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. I lived here for 3 weeks and I really enjoyed it! I highly recommend this hotel.
