"The hotel is a boutique hotel. Actually, there are two buildings behind the Catherine Church: one called Catherine Palace and the other Catherine Arts. They are operated by the same company, and the front desk is also the same, with similar prices. If you want a room with a view of the church, I recommend Catherine Palace. Regarding room types, if you have two large suitcases, be sure to book a comfortable room of 20 square meters or more. I booked a room of 20 square meters or more, which was generally okay. The bathroom was a bit small, and the plumbing was quite old. I stayed for three days. As for the smell that some people mentioned, I think it's because the hotel uses some kind of disinfectant that doesn't smell very good. Also, the hotel is quite deep, and the ventilation isn't very good. The lack of exhaust in the bathroom might have caused some odors. I opened the windows to ventilate during the day when we were out sightseeing, and there was no smell when we came back at night. The hotel has an excellent location. It's right next to Nevsky Prospekt, next to a metro station, and diagonally opposite Kazan Cathedral. The hotel breakfast is also very good, with plenty of hot food, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, porridge, and fruits. You can eat your fill and go out. The only downside was the hotel's Wi-Fi wasn't very good. My Honor phone couldn't connect to the network, but my companion could. I don't know why. We had to use our own mobile data. Check-out was super fast, and getting the check-in certificate was quick. Overall, it's an average hotel, but it's relatively affordable on Nevsky Prospekt."

"The service was excellent; even though there's an elevator, the staff insisted on taking our luggage to the room. The hotel facilities were also very cozy and clean, and the breakfast was not only plentiful and delicious but also available until 12 PM. The location is superb too; the hotel is right on the Fontanka River, a tributary of the Neva River, and it's just a seven or eight-minute walk along the river to Nevsky Prospekt."

"This apart-hotel is amazing! It's newly renovated with a modern design, everything is spotless and pristine, and every detail in the room has been thoughtfully considered. The sofa is incredibly comfortable, and the bedding, pillows, and duvet are all of excellent quality. There's panoramic glazing, and the window opens to a beautiful view. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you need. There's a night light, illuminated mirror by the sofa, and separate light switches so you don't have to get up. It's quiet, and no noise bothered us. The service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. I recommend it to everyone. When I'm in St. Petersburg again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel. "+: Delicious breakfast with a beautiful view from the window. The pool is free until 4 PM, and the room was clean. -: When checking out at 12 PM, I took my belongings from my room on the 4th floor and brought them up to my friends' room on the 7th floor. Somehow (it's unclear how or where), I ended up missing a turtleneck and a top. They never made it to the 7th-floor room. I contacted the reception, and they said they didn't know anything about it, and the housekeeper claimed there was nothing left in my room. They didn't even let me go back into the room. It's a very strange situation; these aren't earrings that could be easily lost unnoticed. Overall, the hotel is good and I recommend it, even though I'm still left with a bad taste in my mouth."

"The front desk spoke excellent English, making communication almost seamless. A welcome drink was also provided. We were given a top-floor room with a skylight, and the sound of church bells ringing in the early morning was a pleasant experience. The room was cleaned daily, though towels weren't always changed. On my first day, I noticed the complimentary tea bags were missing. Perhaps the housekeeping staff forgot to put them in after the previous cleaning. It wasn't a big deal. The room also had a kettle. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and the drainage was fast, preventing leaks into the dry area. There was also plenty of hot water and good pressure. The double bed in the double room was small, a common problem in European hotels, about 80cm wide. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Kazan Cathedral, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Centennial Bookstore, and more. The Winter Palace is about a 15-minute walk away, and the Mariinsky Theatre is about a 40-minute walk. There is a medium-sized supermarket and a large supermarket nearby, and the large supermarket also has a Seber Bank ATM."

"I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was essentially a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. It was very spacious, equipped with a fridge, washing machine, dining table, and a large sofa. Daily housekeeping was provided. It was perfect for someone who likes to prepare simple meals, truly feeling like a temporary home in St. Petersburg. The hallways were adorned with many oil paintings, and the staff were highly professional with excellent English. Luggage storage was also available. Since it was late March, early spring, the price was very reasonable, around 300 RMB per night. However, I chatted with one of the staff members, and he mentioned that during peak season, the price can be more than triple that – so I really lucked out!"
