Hotels near Rossio Station, Lisbon

We had a great stay at My Story Hotel Tejo. The staff was very nice and the service was good. Location is amazing (look at that view!), right in the city centre, almost everything within walking distance including public transport. The room was nice and clean, thought there is room for improvement (some mold in the bathroom for example). Bed and pillows were good as well. We did wish that there was a clothing iron provided in the room. Other than that, the amenities were good. A small thing to mention as well is that bathroom doors can’t be locked.

This hotel boasts an unbeatable location near the Arc de Triomphe and shopping streets, with a beautifully decorated, tourist-grade lobby. 🏨 The light green roof visible from the small balcony of room 403 was absolutely stunning. 🌈 The front desk staff were generally pleasant; the female staff spoke fluent English and were very kind, while the male staff were a bit more reserved, but overall, it was fine. We went to drop off our luggage early, and they even called or WhatsApped us to let us know when our room was ready and brought our bags up for us – a pleasant surprise given the typically slow pace of service in Portugal. The velvet interior of the lobby was so luxurious it made me forget the taste of the welcome cocktail I received. 🍷🍹 Most importantly, the room was immaculately clean, with not a speck of dust on the TV or picture frames. The selection of teas, coffee, and even a washing machine made me regret only staying for one night. If I ever come back to Portugal, I would definitely book this accommodation again. 🇰🇷🇪🇸

Fantastic location with fantastic staff. The staff was very helpful with directions and helping me find whatever I needed whether it was sightseeing advice or late evening travel supplies like soda water. They went above and beyond.

Extremely convenient location, walking distance to the historical center and main train station. Walkable distance to all historical-city center sights up and down the hill. Rooms were basic, yet clean and has all the basic fixed-amenities. But that was more than made up for by the excellent service and location. I've had an important delivery that I needed for work to the hotel, and the hotel staff were very helpful in tracking down the order and gave me instant update once the package has arrived.

The hardware wasn't great, but the software was. The room I was given was an oddly shaped room with a strangely divided layout. The space was cramped and limited room for movement. The window was small and located at the end of the toilet, far from the bed and door frame, resulting in poor air circulation and a bad smell. The toilet had separate wet and dry areas, but the toilet bowl faced the wall. How could anyone sit in it? How thin do you have to be to sit properly on it? I don't know how it was designed, but I had to sit sideways, which was very uncomfortable every time I went to the bathroom. The toilet paper was also very thin and of poor quality, with only one layer, which tore easily. I ended up using my own. There were no slippers or a kettle. Luckily, I was alone and only stayed one night, so my stay felt like an old guesthouse in a small town in China. The good thing was the location and front desk service. It's a great location, right in the heart of the old town, close to everything on foot. There are tons of restaurants, shops, and egg tart shops right outside, and the Rossio subway station is also very convenient. The front desk 💁 has a very good attitude. There was no fork in the instant noodles I bought, so the front desk lent me a pair of knife and fork🍴. The attitude is very good and responsive.

Booked a superior double room for 4 nights. I would not say it was good value for money - meaning overpriced. Pros: The location is great, very central. The guesthouse is sandwiched between a shoe store. The sign is very small and hard to find it. The services are good. The staff checking us in gave quite some touring tips. The room is clean. All staff were polite. The bathroom is spacious. Cons: The superior room we booked are no where near the photos shown on the booking website. The room is equipped with very basic furniture. The wardrobe looks like an old fireplace with No shelves to put clothing on. Neutral: the breakfast had a big variety. But the tapas looked stale and bread was stone hard to cut with the knife. Egg tarts and cakes were delicious Overall, it was overpriced for the room we booked. A guesthouse room with a 4 star hotel price.

Given the price, some of the issues are somewhat understandable, but the facility was significantly more dilapidated than shown in the photos, and it had a distinct odor. I was looking for an inexpensive private room, but if I had known the extent of its condition, I absolutely would have spent more money to book a different place. The chair cushions were falling apart, and the old window wouldn't open or close properly. The clothes hangers themselves looked like salvaged, dented, and paint-peeling items.

Pros - location, right in the center of the square, walking distance to main sights and tram stop. Room is clean albeit on the small side. Suitable for single traveler without too much luggage. Spread of choices for breakfast is great. Cons - only a small inconvenience. Ubers cannot stop directly in front of the hotel. Be prepared to drag your suitcase a small distance from the squareor choose nearby street instead as drop off spot.

Recommended for central location if you want to walk to all the 'must see' sites in Lisbon. The room was compact, yet still reasonably spacious, and I was only there to sleep anyway. The room is clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a mild sewage smell coming from either the sink, toilet or shower (couldn't figure out which!). That wasn't great when you're trying to get to sleep. I suppose I could have asked for another room but, not only was I barely there, the receptionist from mid/late afternoon to evening shift wasn't customer-friendly at all. He definitely shouldn't be front of house! So I didn't feel I could ask for another room basically. Aside from this, I would still recommend this hotel as a good, clean, comfortable and central base. I also thought it was right for the price.
