The place is nice, especially the location. We were in February it was rather cold and dump. The bathroom doesn't have a heater (most places in Europe don't have). Unfortunately for the first night the TV didnt work, we asked for it to be repaired, they told us since it's Sunday, not much can be done, and we waited until next day. The heater in the room itself acted weird, was turning off and on by itself. Going from super hot to super cold. Otherwise everything was okay.

First of all, one of the staff members was friendly and kind. She gave me clear instructions and showed me around the facility.
I could drop off my luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which was helpful.
The room was clean and spacious.
The only problem was the number of bathrooms. There are only a few bathrooms on the floor. Each one includes a toilet, sink, and shower, but it’s only for one person. It was always occupied, which was really inconvenient. Unfortunately, a large group of students stayed on the same floor during my stay for a school event or something. They had been using all the bathrooms for a long time. As a result, I had to wait for around 2 hours even though I wanted to go to sleep early.
But to sum up, it was a good stay, considering the price.

After a very stressful day of delays and cancellations at the airport it very nice to be welcomed into such a nicely managed and very clean hotel, don’t be discouraged by the appearance of the building from the outside, all I can say is once you get into your room you will be pleasantly surprised. If all that you need is somewhere to lay your weary head with WIFI included then give this one a try

The owner was very kind and it was a comfortable trip!
There are a lot of Pakistanis outside the hotel, so if you are worried about noise at night, you may want to be careful.

The hotel is 8 kilometers from the Lisbon Passenger Transport Center and 7 kilometers from the main attractions, which is not convenient. The hotel is located on the third floor, there is no elevator, the stairs are narrow, and the luggage is a problem. The hotel room is large in size, with a balcony, windows can be opened, a public kitchen, and facilities are complete. There is a front desk on duty and check in is fast. Suitable for light traveler.

Booked a family room. There were no trash bags, tissues, or even toothpaste and toothbrushes in the room. Luckily, there's a supermarket across the street, which was convenient for buying essentials. They didn't restock the tea bags or coffee in the room during our several-day stay; we had to ask for them every time. However, the location and price were quite good.

The location was fantastic, right near Liberty Avenue, perfect for walking around and shopping. The triple room wasn't huge, but it was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. I originally booked thinking there was paid parking available, but it turned out there was an issue with the car park, so we couldn't use it. This meant we spent our first day driving around looking for a spot. Parking in the city center is quite complicated, so we ended up using an underground car park beneath a commercial plaza. They charged every 15 minutes, and it cost over 37 euros for one night! Luckily, the next day was a Friday, and from 7 PM on Friday until Sunday, parking was free.

The hotel is near a metro station and within walking distance of top attractions in the Alfama and Chiado areas, so it's rather convenient for tourists. The room is pretty clean, though the age of the amenities can be seen. There's a Lidl nearby for grabbing necessities and snacks. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Amazing
TTomazzI recently stayed at Hotel Lumen and had a really great experience. The service was outstanding – the staff were friendly, helpful and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are delightfully spacious and modern, much larger than what you usually find, with comfortable king size bed.
The bar deserves a special mention:
they serve excellent drinks and cocktails, perfect for unwinding in the evening at also to see the lightshow from or going out to the patio
Location-wise, it's very convenient depending on your plans – close to metro and within easy reach of both the city center and other areas.
Overall, highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
GGuest UserI spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts:
PROS:
- Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport.
- Nice decors and overall pretty clean.
CONS:
- The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room.
- Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not located in the city, but there is a subway station that takes ten minutes' walk to the old city. It is also very convenient because there is no taxi in the city to go to the airport. The breakfast in the hotel is very good, the variety is rich and the quality is good, and the service is particularly good. SANA is a local hotel chain in Portugal, and its quality and service are quite guaranteed. The hotel is located on the flight network where planes land and take off, but the soundproofing in the room is good, which is perfect if you want to watch and take pictures of planes.
NNuannuanIt's been a while, but the memory is still vivid. The room was spacious, and breakfast was excellent – unlimited egg tarts! The capsule coffee was surprisingly good, comparable to freshly ground. Maybe I was just exhausted, but this last stop was pretty good. It started raining heavily as we left, marking the beginning of the rainy season, yet the taxi drivers didn't overcharge, which felt like a perfect ending!
I must have a soft spot for Portugal; even after 10 days, I still wanted more. So, I'm happy to express my gratitude to the places I stayed and the people who helped and served me! Wishing you all the best!
LLily&lacyIt is not soundproof at all... I am a good sleeper. I have been in Europe for more than a month. The wall of this house is like cardboard. The normal speech next door is clear, just like in the ear... day, but breakfast is delicious. Location is generally cheap after all, Lisbon taxi
GGuest UserTop-notch hotel, excellent services, cleanliness, courtesy, and helpfulness. I always have a wonderful stay when I manage to find availability at Hotel Roma.
AAihechadeyangguangmaoThe location of the hotel is excellent and the facilities are very good. But the service is really bad. First, the friend's room can't be done. Find the service staff to wait for a long time! It is very troublesome to check in.
GGuest UserMy husband and I loved it. I was a little apprehensive because I saw a lot of comments about the area where the apartments are located and I didn't see anything wrong with the ”men on the stairs”. They were just drinking and having fun. They didn't even look at us or intimidate us. And we arrived very late because we went out to enjoy ourselves a bit.
The apartment is excellent, super clean, smells impeccable.
AAnonymous UserThe room with bathroom inside the room with balcony.
No curtains on the beds, the light can bother, no privacy.
There is elevator, no problems with luggage.
There is a kitchen, but is closed in the night time.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
SSefy LevyThis hostel is located about 3km walk from the center city, but does have some close by attractions (such as the Jeronimo's Monetary)
The room is extremely small, if you seat on the edge of the bed and try to stretch your legs, you'll most likely hit the wall.
We had our room replaced, as the first room had zero privacy for the toilet and the second room gave the illusion of privacy (as you can see in photos)
We've not seen any of the management, as everything is done thru WhatsApp to contact them and they will respond.
Breakfast was OK, it had a bit of choices but there was more cakes and cookies then actual food.
