GGuest UserECC is truly amazing. The interior design is incredibly stylish, the rooms are bright and spacious, and the aesthetics of industrial design are evident everywhere. I highly recommend it; it was a pleasant surprise.

GGuest UserThus hotels most appealing benefit is its location. It’s a short walk to the octagon, historical railway station and the excellent (and free admission) Pioneer Museum. It’s a short is also only a couple of streets from George Street which has lots of shopping and restaurants. A block away is a large supermarket for groceries. The room size is adequate with a fridge and kettle. The carpet could use a good cleaning. The main issue was with the shower. It has no enclosure and although the floor is sloped towards the drain we had to put towels around the floor to stop water from running everywhere. The towels and bath mat naturally got soaked. For the price and location I would recommend this hotel if you are. It looking for anything upscale.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the city center, only 5 minutes walk to the First Church and about 10 minutes to the train station. Parking is convenient and there are many places to eat. When checking in, there is no front desk and you have to call. The hotel is old but very clean. The elevator is too old and a bit scary. I bought bread for breakfast at the supermarket. There are bowls and basins.

TTommy_dejoReally nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.

IiloveiceThe so-called living in a castle is actually a room converted from a stable. The room is very small and the shapes inside the room are also different, so it is easy to hit your head.
But apart from the above objective conditions, I think all the aspects are good. The breakfast is very good. You eat on the first floor of the stable. The coffee is amazing. The water and milk in the small refrigerator upstairs are very good. The waiter is very responsible for introducing each family and taking them to check in.
The so-called castle is a relatively large house, not even as big as some old houses of Fujian people. It cannot be considered as a castle. The garden... well... is not as flowery as the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City. The plants are mainly succulents. It is not necessary to expect to see flowers, but it is also a feature.
The most recommended is dinner. You can make an appointment for dinner when staying here. It is a rare highlight of the food in this New Zealand trip. There are only four dishes, which are exquisite and attentive, and taste good. If you don't mind sharing the hall with strangers, you can experience the long table dinner and have a drink and chat with the neighbors who live in the stable that night. The English spoken in one night is almost the sum of the past two years. It is very relaxing and happy.

The soundproofing is very poor, and there is a nightclub nearby that plays very loud music late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. For those who drive, can park on the roadside across the street for free after 6pm. In addition, the shower water pressure was very low, which was disappointing.

First of all, there is a lot of cleanliness. The shared space is beautiful and all the guests use it cleanly. Each room is also beautiful, and it is also great that the bed on the lower stage has a curtain and can be closed.
We are also prepared to drink hot chocolate and tea. New Zealand was cold in autumn, so I was very happy to have a warm drink when I returned to the hostel.
It was an early check-out in the morning with a late check-in, but he contacted me in advance and responded politely.
