"Friendly reception.
The room, however, was less than satisfactory: a sticky table (where the coffee machine was), a broken, unusable hook on the window, and worst of all, a slanted bed that made it almost impossible to sleep. (The floor slopes, but raising one side of the bed should fix it.)"
"The hostel is conveniently located, with a bus stop just a two to three-minute walk away. It's also not far from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, about a ten-minute walk.
The front desk staff are enthusiastic and have a good attitude.
Less positive experiences:
1. The room is quite small; there's hardly any space left after putting down luggage.
2. Cleanliness needs improvement. There were visible dirty marks on the duvet cover (picture 3), many small spots on the carpet (picture 5), and ants on the room walls and bed (picture 7).
3. There is no kettle.
4. The balcony is shared among several rooms (picture 8), and the room has no openable windows. If the balcony door is closed, the air doesn't circulate, but leaving it ajar feels unsafe.
5. Information displayed on the website platform is inconsistent with reality. For example, it shows 'laundry service' (picture 9), but the hostel actually doesn't have a laundry room for guests. They only provide addresses of external laundromats for guests to take their clothes to themselves."
"On arrival at 12.00 midday, we were told the room was ready which we didn’t expect. We were quite excited until we were told we had to pay 30 euro if we wanted to check in then. We said no thanks we’ll come back at 2pm and pay nothing. What a rort!! Never experienced that before!
When we finally got to room it was very nice. Good location. You can either walk 30 min or catch tram into city from down the road."
"The hotel is located in the museum district, close to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. Our room offered a canal view, but it wasn't in the most iconic canal-side neighborhood; for a true canal experience, I'd recommend staying in the Canal District. Housekeeping was a bit sloppy – food crumbs were still on the carpet when we returned to the room in the evening. It was a small area rug in the sofa section, so it seems they just didn't vacuum it during cleaning. The room was quite spacious, but the amenities were basic. There was no desk, luggage rack, or luggage stand, so our suitcases had to stay on the floor, which felt inconsistent with the over 3000 RMB price tag. Front desk service was mediocre. Before checking in, I had a duplicate booking for two nights that I had accidentally reserved twice. Since it was a cancellable booking, I contacted the hotel to modify it (reduce by two nights) before arrival, but they refused to cooperate. Ctrip intervened multiple times with no success. Eventually, Ctrip arranged with another supplier to resolve the issue. I will not choose this hotel again."
"A cool stylish hotel with interesting room design and the building itself. Good cosmetic facilities in the bathroom, Smeg teapot 👍, tea set, coffee. The area is beautiful, next to the Van Gogh Museum, near the channels. Enjoyable staff on the respiratory. The room was taken the simplest, but it is very nice with nice stylish details.I'll be happy to stay at this hotel!"
"At first, we were a bit skeptical about the capsules, mainly because of our luggage and the shared bathroom situation. But in the end, the experience totally exceeded our expectations! Even though the capsule itself is small, there's actually more than enough space, even with two 20kg suitcases. And the bed, by the way, was super comfy. The bathrooms and all the facilities in general were very clean. They really thought of everything!"
"Other than a little confusion with the check in process, everything else was excellent. The location is ideal. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast provided a great start to the day Overall, highly recommended."
"We booked a 2-night stay. Our room was on the 3rd floor, which was quite a walk 😂 The heating wasn't working. It was extremely cold, but on the second day we got an electric heater, which was a little better. Thanks anyway for everything 👏🏼😇"
"Everything was great. We booked a room on the same day, and since there were no other rooms available, we ended up with a room on the 1st floor, which is actually the basement level. Other than that, the hotel is in a good location."
"The room was great and the environment was really nice, not too far from the city center. However, the breakfast selection was very limited – only steamed buns were available, and there was a long queue for the coffee machine. This definitely needs improvement, as it wasn't a pleasant experience with so many people挤ing together for breakfast. I wouldn't recommend purchasing breakfast here. I do recommend staying at the hotel itself, though."

Great
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.
GGuest UserGreat location and staff, but poor cleanliness
I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain.
Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it.
My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.
BBa Nàng Công ChúaI’m not sure if we were upgraded, but my family stayed on the 12th floor and the view was absolutely stunning. The room and overall space were wonderful—clean, spacious, and even more beautiful than we expected. My children loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave.
Sitting on the sofa and looking out over the river, watching boats pass by, gave me a peaceful feeling that reminded me of my hometown.
I hope to have even more memorable experiences the next time I stay at Mövenpick.
GGuest UserThis is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.
AAchengdebairimengThe hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station and all the main attractions. Both the hotel and the room were spotless and didn't have any strange smells, which was great. The only minor downside was that the music from nearby bars could be a bit loud at night.
QQiangguolangThis is a large international chain hotel with excellent facilities, good hygiene, a top-notch environment, and standardized service. The hotel is located across the water from Central Station, and there's a free ferry service available 24/7. The pier and the view of the water are beautiful, and crossing the sea every day adds a unique charm to the experience.
GGuest UserThank you very much for letting us check in early. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly functional. The hotel's location is excellent – about a 10-minute walk from the cruise ship terminal and a 5-minute walk from the train station. It's also not far from the meeting points for day tours. You do have to transfer elevators once, but there was basically no waiting time.
Yyuta takaokaI stayed at the Amsterdam Teleport Hotel, located in the western part of Amsterdam. Although it's a bit far from the city center, its affordable price and free parking are huge draws, making it particularly convenient for those traveling by car or planning an extended stay. The exterior is adorned with colorful art, creating a unique and welcoming vibe from the moment you arrive.
The guest rooms are simple and functional, yet the bright color scheme is striking, giving it a more playful feel than your typical business hotel. Some rooms even have a kitchenette, which is a great bonus for self-catering or longer stays. The cleanliness was excellent, and I found it to be a comfortable base for both sightseeing and business trips. The hotel attracts a diverse clientele, from backpackers to families and groups, contributing to its international atmosphere.
The price point is relatively reasonable for an Amsterdam hotel, offering excellent value for money. Access to the city center from the nearest station is good, so I didn't feel any inconvenience when visiting tourist attractions. While it's not a luxury hotel, it's a very attractive option for travelers who prioritize comfort and convenience while keeping their accommodation costs down. I'd highly recommend it as a casual and convenient base for exploring Amsterdam.
GGuest UserGreat location - short walk to the Muiderpoort station and a 5 mins train ride into Amsterdam Centraal! For the price, the accomodation was very reasonable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. House keeping comes by everyday so you always have a clean room and towels. A fridge in the room is also very handy. Staff are there 24/7 and very helpful.
The walls are thin, so if you have noisy neighbours you can hear everything, so it could be annoying!
Overall, great stay in Amsterdam!
GGuest UserI was a bit worried after booking this hotel due to the bad reviews I saw but honestly my experience was absolutely fine. The room and bed was clean. It was quiet and the location was excellent. I was able to walk to everything but there’s a metro right outside too. The bed was comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful
