"Thank you very much for letting us check in early. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly functional. The hotel's location is excellent – about a 10-minute walk from the cruise ship terminal and a 5-minute walk from the train station. It's also not far from the meeting points for day tours. You do have to transfer elevators once, but there was basically no waiting time."
"Facilities: The facilities are pretty good, with a wet and dry separation in the bathroom, and a kettle, refrigerator, and other amenities readily available in the room.
Hygiene: The overall hygiene was good, but there were instances where the shampoo was almost empty and the tissues were nearly out, which staff didn't replace promptly. I had to contact them again, so there's room for improvement here.
Environment: The overall environment is good. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the central train station, which is very convenient. Even in a room facing the train tracks, I didn't hear any train noise at all; the soundproofing of the windows is excellent.
Service: The staff were all very patient. The only thing that needs improvement is that the customer service contact number in the room is basically unreachable. Any requests required going down to the front desk to speak with staff, which was indeed inconvenient. This area needs improvement.
Overall, I still highly recommend it."
"The hostel is conveniently located, with a bus stop just a two to three-minute walk away. It's also not far from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, about a ten-minute walk.
The front desk staff are enthusiastic and have a good attitude.
Less positive experiences:
1. The room is quite small; there's hardly any space left after putting down luggage.
2. Cleanliness needs improvement. There were visible dirty marks on the duvet cover (picture 3), many small spots on the carpet (picture 5), and ants on the room walls and bed (picture 7).
3. There is no kettle.
4. The balcony is shared among several rooms (picture 8), and the room has no openable windows. If the balcony door is closed, the air doesn't circulate, but leaving it ajar feels unsafe.
5. Information displayed on the website platform is inconsistent with reality. For example, it shows 'laundry service' (picture 9), but the hostel actually doesn't have a laundry room for guests. They only provide addresses of external laundromats for guests to take their clothes to themselves."
"Easy to arrive from Amsterdam Centraal station. A very small entrance which u may miss it. After open the entrance door, we found a long stairs to check in floor and hotel rooms. It was a bit difficult for us to move 2 big luggages to 2/F without the help of friendly and helpful reception staff.
The staff was too nice to upgrade our room with balcony. However, the balcony wasn’t really a workable balcony.🤣
There were considerate iPhone chargers near the bed. The room was Tidy, clean with modern n new decoration.
The toilet bowl lid seemed not fit on toilet bowl in our room though it didn’t affect its function.
There were 2 times alarm sounds in the midnight of our 2nd night stay which we didn’t know why but forgot to check with the staff.
To conclude, it is a convenient and nice hotel."
"Hotel is right in the middle of the city center and near the train station. It is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the popular museums.
We were initially allocated a ground floor room and it was right next to the street where people were walking and opposite a bar. It was noisy and honestly felt a little uncomfortable as people could see into our room. As such, my wife and I requested for a change of room and the staff were really accommodating in helping us get a room on an upper floor (though it was the next day as the hotel was full on the day of our arrival). They even assisted with storing our loose luggage in their own office which was really nice of them.
Room was big and there is a coffee machine in the room. Overall, a really good stay for the price!"
"I had a good stay at Singel Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was very convenient, especially because it is close to Amsterdam Centraal.
The only downside was that the room was pretty cold and the heater was not on, which made the stay a little less comfortable. Other than that, everything was nice, and I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Amsterdam."
"Welcomed on arrival, shown how to check in and we were advised of any extras. Staff very helpful and the location was brilliant! The rooms are quite small but well laid out and cosy, saying that the air conditioning was fantastic as it was 30•c when we were there. Would definitely stay again! Thank you"
"I’m not sure if we were upgraded, but my family stayed on the 12th floor and the view was absolutely stunning. The room and overall space were wonderful—clean, spacious, and even more beautiful than we expected. My children loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave.
Sitting on the sofa and looking out over the river, watching boats pass by, gave me a peaceful feeling that reminded me of my hometown.
I hope to have even more memorable experiences the next time I stay at Mövenpick."
"The hotel has a great location, just a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station, making it very convenient for sightseeing and transportation. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets nearby.
The room was clean and comfortable. However, the lighting in the room was quite dim. One thing that could be improved is the bathroom lighting. It works with a motion sensor, so if you stay still for a while (for example, during a shower), the lights switch off automatically. It was inconvenient to have the bathroom suddenly become dark while showering.
Overall, it's a good hotel with an excellent location, but improving the room and bathroom lighting would make the stay even better."
"We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff was very welcoming. The room was well-equipped and clean.
We will return."

Great
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.
KKitMeeVery good location ... Just a few train stops from Schiphol Airport to reach Sloterdijk Station. Few minutes walk from here to hotel. Transportation hub is just right in front of hotel. Flixbus stops is also 5mins away from hotel.. Super convenient with a mini mart n as well as some eateries around the corner. More choices avaliable if venture further out.. Spacious n clean room. Clean n fresh towels. Daily housekeeping. Comfy bed with pillows abit soft though.. No AC but a air cooling system. Provided a table fan during this super hot summer trip. A complete kitchenette with a new set of cleaning set provided. Water dispenser is located at the lobby. Laundry room is at 1st floor. €4 per usage. It comes with a detergent capsule. Required a deposit of €100 upon check in. Friendly staff but lack of manpower at times. Mostly with 1 staff at reception desk. With 1staff around, we nearly missed our bus to Brussels just to wait for staff to retrieve our stored luggage... No toiletries n indoor slippers provided unless upon request. No hair conditioner or body lotion as well. Just a 2 in 1 body n hair shampoo is used... With a rating of a 4* hotel, it should do better
Overall had a satisfactory stay n experience
GGuest UserGreat location and staff, but poor cleanliness
I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain.
Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it.
My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.
GGuest UserThis is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.
AAchengdebairimengThe hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station and all the main attractions. Both the hotel and the room were spotless and didn't have any strange smells, which was great. The only minor downside was that the music from nearby bars could be a bit loud at night.
QQiangguolangThis is a large international chain hotel with excellent facilities, good hygiene, a top-notch environment, and standardized service. The hotel is located across the water from Central Station, and there's a free ferry service available 24/7. The pier and the view of the water are beautiful, and crossing the sea every day adds a unique charm to the experience.
Yyuta takaokaI stayed at the Amsterdam Teleport Hotel, located in the western part of Amsterdam. Although it's a bit far from the city center, its affordable price and free parking are huge draws, making it particularly convenient for those traveling by car or planning an extended stay. The exterior is adorned with colorful art, creating a unique and welcoming vibe from the moment you arrive.
The guest rooms are simple and functional, yet the bright color scheme is striking, giving it a more playful feel than your typical business hotel. Some rooms even have a kitchenette, which is a great bonus for self-catering or longer stays. The cleanliness was excellent, and I found it to be a comfortable base for both sightseeing and business trips. The hotel attracts a diverse clientele, from backpackers to families and groups, contributing to its international atmosphere.
The price point is relatively reasonable for an Amsterdam hotel, offering excellent value for money. Access to the city center from the nearest station is good, so I didn't feel any inconvenience when visiting tourist attractions. While it's not a luxury hotel, it's a very attractive option for travelers who prioritize comfort and convenience while keeping their accommodation costs down. I'd highly recommend it as a casual and convenient base for exploring Amsterdam.
GGuest UserGreat location - short walk to the Muiderpoort station and a 5 mins train ride into Amsterdam Centraal! For the price, the accomodation was very reasonable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. House keeping comes by everyday so you always have a clean room and towels. A fridge in the room is also very handy. Staff are there 24/7 and very helpful.
The walls are thin, so if you have noisy neighbours you can hear everything, so it could be annoying!
Overall, great stay in Amsterdam!
GGuest UserI was a bit worried after booking this hotel due to the bad reviews I saw but honestly my experience was absolutely fine. The room and bed was clean. It was quiet and the location was excellent. I was able to walk to everything but there’s a metro right outside too. The bed was comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful
