"The shower's structure is a little bit confusing. There is no door to prevent the water from going to the toilet. However, overall the cleanliness and the size of the room is amazing, and the price is totally reasonable. The location is great as well just one station to Amsterdam Centraal station. Recommend to everyone who is traveling to Amsterdam."
"The location is a bit out of the way; it's about a 7-minute walk to Tram Line 2 and 12 minutes to the metro station. Getting to the city center takes over half an hour.
The room was very simple and clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The bathroom had a partial wet/dry separation, but water would still splash into the dry area when showering. The shower gel had a unique scent (like a high-end traditional Chinese medicine).
The front desk staff were not very friendly. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, and the staff preferred to chat rather than offer assistance. The employee who handled my luggage storage after check-out was very impatient."
"This fancy and fun hostel is an easy and accessible part of town. It's very cute and unique. The rooms are fine - they are small of course because it is a hostel. You will not get all of the amenities of a hotel, but the place is clean and the beds comfy. We were sad that there weren't more people hanging around in the common areas, but we made it lively and on the second night there were more folks around. The bar and restaurant are closed; but they will make you an amazing coffee in the morning (Melania is a genius!) and there is a snack bar with alcohol for purchase (including full bottles of wine if that's what you're looking for). The entire team is very nice - especially Tamara! They made us feel right at home and definitely made us want to come back and visit again! Lots to do in the area for sure, but also a quick and easy tram ride straight into Central Amsterdam. Overall, a very good experience for the price."
"This has to be one of the most satisfying hotels I've ever stayed in! The location is incredibly convenient; it's just a 3-minute walk to the tram, train, or bus. The room is fully equipped, very spacious, and has a great design, plus there's a TV!
When you check in, they give you a box of kitchen cleaning supplies (as shown in the last picture). This is really thoughtful, ensuring guests can make full use of the kitchen even if they didn't bring their own cleaning products. What's more, because my last day of stay was my actual birthday, the hotel even gave me a box of cookies and a thoughtful card ❤️ It was such a heartwarming gesture!"
"Our executive room was spacious and very clean. It offered good views, and the staff were excellent. The mattress was incredibly comfortable too. The restaurant on the 17th floor offered fantastic views and a wide variety of breakfast options."
"At first, we were a bit skeptical about the capsules, mainly because of our luggage and the shared bathroom situation. But in the end, the experience totally exceeded our expectations! Even though the capsule itself is small, there's actually more than enough space, even with two 20kg suitcases. And the bed, by the way, was super comfy. The bathrooms and all the facilities in general were very clean. They really thought of everything!"
"hotel staffs r friendly, room is clean like the picture. the hotel is super duper near lidl jus across. metro n bus stations jus behind the hotel about 5 mins away and it is able to bring us to the town area within a few stops.
during our stay we experienced some flooding in our room but it was quickly resolved with the help of the staff, the next day, they removed the carpet which is commendable as they are very nice to follow up with us to ensure the experience of the stay is good
i also have a parcel delivered and the hotel helped to received it on my behalf. we also requested for early check-in and fortunately we r able to do so.
overall, the stay is enjoyable given the pricing and location is great. would recommend friends and back to staying at met hotel when back in amsterdam."
"Love the energy and vibe of this place
The front desk is so helpful and so knowledgable
The breakfasts are such a wonderful way to start your day
The rooms are clean though they did have some plumbing issues ( the water from the flush tank kept running ) but these are quick fixes
I would definitely come back here again
Yours
Ryan"
"I had a frustrating experience at XO Hotel Blue Tower, primarily due to the unprofessional conduct of a brown-colored male front desk receptionist. During check-out, their impatience and lack of courtesy were glaring. When I asked a straightforward question about the check-out process, they delayed responding, ignoring my question entirely at first and leaving me standing there feeling dismissed. When they finally addressed me, their tone was curt and unhelpful, making the interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. The overall experience at the hotel was mediocre, but the receptionist’s impolite and unresponsive behavior made it worse. I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone expecting decent service."
"The hostel is conveniently located, with a bus stop just a two to three-minute walk away. It's also not far from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, about a ten-minute walk.
The front desk staff are enthusiastic and have a good attitude.
Less positive experiences:
1. The room is quite small; there's hardly any space left after putting down luggage.
2. Cleanliness needs improvement. There were visible dirty marks on the duvet cover (picture 3), many small spots on the carpet (picture 5), and ants on the room walls and bed (picture 7).
3. There is no kettle.
4. The balcony is shared among several rooms (picture 8), and the room has no openable windows. If the balcony door is closed, the air doesn't circulate, but leaving it ajar feels unsafe.
5. Information displayed on the website platform is inconsistent with reality. For example, it shows 'laundry service' (picture 9), but the hostel actually doesn't have a laundry room for guests. They only provide addresses of external laundromats for guests to take their clothes to themselves."

Great
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.
GGuest UserGreat location and staff, but poor cleanliness
I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain.
Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it.
My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.
GGuest UserThis is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.

Sitting on the sofa and looking out over the river, watching boats pass by, gave me a peaceful feeling that reminded me of my hometown.
I hope to have even more memorable experiences the next time I stay at Mövenpick.
AAchengdebairimengThe hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station and all the main attractions. Both the hotel and the room were spotless and didn't have any strange smells, which was great. The only minor downside was that the music from nearby bars could be a bit loud at night.
GGuest UserThis place is right across the river, a quick free ferry ride away. Check-in and check-out are entirely self-service via touch panel. My room was in the basement, so it was quite dim. Each bed had its own fan, mini-light, and charging port. Unfortunately, my roommates reeked of ****, which was unpleasant, but I guess that's just how it is in the Netherlands.
GGuest UserThank you very much for letting us check in early. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly functional. The hotel's location is excellent – about a 10-minute walk from the cruise ship terminal and a 5-minute walk from the train station. It's also not far from the meeting points for day tours. You do have to transfer elevators once, but there was basically no waiting time.
GGuest UserThe room having a microwave was a huge plus, very convenient for heating up quick meals. The room itself was actually quite spacious, though the bathroom was on the smaller side. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and friendly. But the absolute best part? They have an adorable orange cat you can pet! Cat lovers, this is your sign! The cat is very mellow and lets you pet him all you want. It's also quite convenient if you're taking the FlixBus, as it's only a 15-minute walk to the station. The hotel has two floors and no elevator, but it's manageable; if you have heavy luggage, you'll only ever have to carry it up one flight of stairs at most.
GGuest UserWe spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThere were some inconveniences, like the electricity not working at times and the shower door being incomplete, causing water to spill out. I was told there would be a hairdryer in the room, but there wasn't one. On the positive side, the staff were kind and helpful.
