Woljeong-ri, Jeju Island: A Hidden Gem I Want to Keep Secret!
It's been several days since I returned from Jeju Island, but my heart still lingers in that wonderful guesthouse in Woljeong-ri. It was definitely the highlight of my trip, deserving a super five-star review!
📍 Unbeatable Location: The location of the guesthouse couldn't be more perfect! Just like in the pictures, the window offers a sea view. It's only a 3-minute walk to the famous Jelly Beach in Woljeong-ri; the white sand and azure water feel like the guesthouse's backyard. Every morning, I would take a walk on the beach and watch the locals sea fishing; in the evening, I would sit on the famous trendy wooden chair and watch a stunning sunset. There are also many stylish cafes and restaurants nearby, making it incredibly convenient for eating, drinking, and entertainment.
🏠 Environment and Rooms: The guesthouse itself is like a work of art. The overall style is a clean, fresh Korean aesthetic, mixed with a touch of industrial design; every corner shows the owner's attention to detail. My room was very spacious and bright, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows framing the sea view without reservation. The room was spotless, the bedding soft and comfortable, smelling of sunshine, and I slept soundly every night. My favorite part was the small balcony; during the day I could gaze at the sea and daydream, and at night I could listen to the faint sound of the waves while sipping a drink—all my worries simply vanished.
👨👩👧👦 Hosts and Service: The hosts were the biggest surprise of my trip! They were incredibly warm and friendly, and communicated fluently in English. Upon check-in, they provided detailed information about the surrounding area's attractions and restaurants, and even drew a map. The next morning, they even prepared a Jeju-style breakfast themselves; their warmth and thoughtfulness truly made me feel at home. They were quick to help with any problems, and this meticulous care is something chain hotels can never provide.
💫 Overall Experience: If Woljeong-ri is the pearl of Jeju Island, then this guesthouse is the most lustrous luster on that pearl. It's not just a place to sleep, but an experience of a lifestyle. Here, you can truly experience the poetic tranquility of ”facing the sea, with spring flowers blooming.”
It's no exaggeration to say that this guesthouse is the reason I'd return to Jeju Island. If you're also looking for a place to soothe your soul and heal your body, this is the place for you! Highly recommended for every traveler!

This B&B is located in a small seaside village. The village itself is incredibly peaceful, quaint, and beautiful. The location is excellent, the environment is clean, and the owner is very friendly. It's a truly wonderful place. If I were to return to the area, I'd definitely stay here again.
The beach across from the B&B is a gentle sea, and some people even lounged in canoes, drifting with the waves and enjoying the tranquility and beauty. It's truly enticing.

This was a lovely location and a lovely stay with a pool, near some nice restaurants, bars, cafes and surfing places. There is a really excellent specialty coffee scene in this area. We found some things strange at the accomodation, such as the lack of full sized towels (which we were told was normal), and the use of a quilted mattress covering as a sheet (again, we were told that this _is_ the sheet). The place could use some maintenance and a deep clean, but overall we enjoyed our stay. The Korean rice porridge breakfast with kimchi was delicious.

My mom came home and asked me to place an order for the hair dryer because it was so light and good.

A but far away from the beach but walkable after all. It’s in a very quiet place, almost like in a sub urban area so helped us to recover energies. The house was really nice and everything clean. The owner also helped us with some logistics.

The scenery is great! The boss is very nice! Be sure to check-in early. Many B&Bs in Jeju do not check in after 8pm, and the B&B owners will close for rest. Because it was a late flight, the owner of this B&B waited for me until after 11 o'clock, and I was very touched! The boss can speak Chinese and can also store luggage! Open the window and see the beautiful sea view

It is purely just a place to crash in for a night kind of stay. The only commendable factors were the comfort of the bed and the patience from the host, as we reached our accom late but the host still bothered to come out of his place to check on our arrival. The toilet window, which faces the corridor, was also not properly closed and it took us a while to fix the blinds to ensure that it was entirely covered.

The owner's friendly and clean facilities are okay. It's good to trek if the surrounding weather is good. It's near the beach, but the view from the hostel is good, but if you go outside, it's the surrounding beach. It's good to use it because it's safe. It's 24 kilometers from the hostel to the Jeju coastal passenger ship port.

Amazing
GGuest UserThis guesthouse was absolutely wonderful, and we had a fantastic few days on Jeju Island. The two owners were incredibly kind and patiently guided us through the check-in process, explaining everything about the room and its amenities. The room itself was spotless, showing how much care the owners put into maintaining each guesthouse. Our favorite part was the huge window offering beautiful sea views and a glimpse of the walking trail outside. Even on a less sunny day, it was still incredibly picturesque.
We visited in early May, so the weather outside was a bit cool and windy, but the room was perfectly comfortable and even had floor heating. It was very quiet at night, making for a truly relaxing environment. The walking trail outside is also excellent; if you have time, definitely take a stroll there.
One thing to note is that there's no elevator. However, please don't let that deter you! My friend and I felt the stunning views were more than worth it after we arrived with our luggage. If you know you'll have a lot of luggage, I recommend contacting the owner beforehand to request a lower floor, as you can still enjoy the sea view from there. A big thank you to both hosts for their wonderful hospitality during our stay. Jeju Island is amazing, and we'll definitely be back to stay here again next time!
JJordan’sWe stayed here for 6 nights and had a very comfortable and pleasant experience—it truly felt like a home away from home.
Housekeeping is done daily, which was a big plus. They replenished one 2-litre water bottles, provided four small towels, and emptied the trash every day, keeping the room consistently clean and tidy.
The room comes with a small kitchenette that is well equipped with cutlery, drinking glasses, shot glasses, a kettle, microwave, and a full-size household refrigerator with both freezer and fridge compartments. There is also an electric stove, though the only downside is that no pots or pans are provided, so cooking is limited.
One of the highlights is the large, human-sized window that can be opened to let in fresh air, along with an amazing scenic view outside. The bathroom is clean and modern, designed in soothing neutral tones. They provide good-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and the high-pressure shower is excellent—perfect for a refreshing bath after a long day.
The TV includes Netflix access without needing to log in to your own account, which is very convenient.
The owner is extremely kind and friendly. Since we had a longer stay, she kindly allowed us to use the washing machine, provided clothes hangers, and arranged a place for us to air-dry our laundry, which was very thoughtful.
The location is excellent—directly opposite the property is a 24-hour 7-Eleven. In the early morning, there’s also a café at the lobby selling coffee and baked goods, which is especially helpful as many eateries in Jeju only open around 10:30 am.
One thing to note: check-in should be done early, as the staff do not work overnight. After 7:30 pm, there will be no one available to hand over keys.
Overall, this is a very welcoming place, and we truly appreciated the comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. We would definitely return and stay here again.
JJulietteLI had such a wonderful stay at Mir’s! First time in Korea so wanted to familiarize myself with locals by starting off staying at a shared dorm. Eventually chose Mir’s over other hotels! First night at the place was greeted by Kevin, a very sweet boy who’s been so helpful and kind. The owner of the place is also very welcoming and polite.
The whole building is well designed and very clean, smelling good. Rooms are quiet and people are respectful! Very happy with the stay. The location is so amazing as it’s close to the ocean and many cute coffee shops and delicious restaurants. Thank you!
GGuest UserAbout 15 minutes by car from airport. A quieter part of Jeju city but enough restaurants within walking distance plus on-site convenience shop. Clean and well-maintained with superb housekeeping crew. Breakfast buffet was average. On-site cafe has reasonably priced food and dribks. No dental kit or shaving kit in room and so bring your own!
GGuest UserWe stayed in a double plus single bed room facing the airport/ocean. It was a lovely view. Check in and check were both pretty smooth. Room size is okay for small family. Bathroom comes air heated bidet which is appreciative during cold months. The bed were very comfortable and we have a very restful night.
Location is seems to be surrounded by lots of restaurants catered to PRC tourists. Even walking on the street feels like we are in China.
Shops like Innisfree and Olive Young are just steps away from the entrance. It makes a good airport hotel as the drive is only 15mins. Hotel also provides free airport shuttle stating from 7am.
DDangchizhuchangThe hotel is located in downtown Jeju Island, directly opposite the Shilla Duty Free Shop. There are plenty of food and shopping options nearby, as well as a shuttle bus, but be sure to check the operating hours. The hotel lobby offers luggage storage, but you can only check in after 3 PM – that's an important point! The room size is decent, though the facilities are a bit old. Overall, it offers good value for money! They offer Chinese service at check-in and provide Olive Young discount coupons!
Around the hotel, you can find local Jeju delicacies like black pork, fried chicken, pork backbone soup, and abalone porridge. However, don't expect too much from the taste; none of it was particularly outstanding. A barbecue meal for two usually costs over 300 (Korean Won/Chinese Yuan, please specify if you know). There are several Olive Young stores nearby where you can get immediate tax refunds, which is quite convenient!
If you arrive at Jeju Airport on an early flight and don't know what to do, I suggest heading directly to Dongmun Market near the airport to kill some time. Seven Stars Street is also close by, with many sports brand stores!
GGuest UserBooked a family suite with two bathrooms. The room was spacious and clean. The front desk staff spoke a little Chinese, which made check-in very smooth. They don't provide disposable toothbrushes or toothpaste, but there are disposable slippers, though they're quite thin, so you might want to bring your own. During our stay, we saw many Korean locals staying here. It's in the city center with lots of food options nearby, and getting a taxi is very convenient.
OOuranzuigeiliThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center and very close to the duty-free shop. The room we booked was spacious and had a large balcony overlooking Jeju city and the sea. Do note that the room doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, and the lighting is a bit dim. Overall, it's pretty good, mostly catering to Chinese guests, and the front desk staff can speak a few words of Chinese.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great. Right outside, there's a bus stop for the 600 bus to the airport, and 7-Eleven, CU, and GS25 convenience stores are just by the entrance. It's also a short walk to Baojian Street. The room cleanliness was just so-so, probably on par with a 3-star hotel in China, but they cleaned it daily. If you opted out of cleaning, they'd still leave towels and water outside your door. For just over 200, the price for this location is excellent. The self-check-in and check-out are very convenient for introverts, and there's also luggage storage. However, I booked a double room but got a twin room upon check-in. When I scanned the QR code to contact staff, they said my original booking was for a twin room and that this was actually an upgrade. I'm not sure where the mix-up happened, but the room was spacious, which was nice.
66laoshiThe area is small, the service and sanitation environment are good, the location is near Wudaokou, adjacent to Dream Building and Emart, and the transportation is convenient. There are waiters who can speak Chinese, and communication is barrier-free.
When I booked a room on Ctrip, there was a prompt asking what I needed. I chose to pick up the airport, and the webpage passed quickly, but when I arrived, I called the hotel and replied that the hotel had never had an airport pick-up service. It appears that there is something wrong with the system.
