Hotels near Gangseo-Gu, Seoul

I had a layover from Incheon Airport to Gimpo Airport and booked this hotel, which is very close to Gimpo. The hotel facilities are good, and the service was attentive; they helped me call a taxi, which arrived in three minutes. What exceeded my expectations most was how lively and bustling the area downstairs was. There were all sorts of shops, one after another, and many snack bars were open 24 hours. I arrived around 8 PM, and all the shops were open. I bought some face masks my colleague wanted, and the shop offered tax-free shopping for foreign tourists. Afterward, I went for Korean BBQ. The lady working there spoke Chinese and, seeing I wasn't skilled, even helped me grill and cut the meat and vegetables. The price wasn't expensive either; a double portion of BBQ was only about 100 RMB. I could easily spend a few days exploring the shops around there! 😊 Taking a medium-sized taxi from Incheon Airport cost about 200 RMB. The hotel is also very close to Balsan subway station, which was a nice experience. My phone ran out of battery, so all my outdoor photos are on another phone. I've only included a few room photos. The room is like an apartment, with a washing machine, stove, and range hood. It was raining when I arrived, but after dinner, it turned into snow, and it started snowing harder and harder, which was quite an experience of Seoul's snow! 🌨

I didn't have high expectations for a motel, but it was better than I expected! ▼Good Points - Close to the station (just turn right after exiting the station) - Surprisingly good amenities (hairspray and other amenities are convenient) - Spacious room (easy to spread out luggage) ▼Concerns - Water leaking from the pipes at the hotel entrance? - No curtain over the bathtub, so if you're not careful, the bathroom and toilet can get soaked.

The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly warm, attentive, and thorough. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and very comfortable. The hotel offers breakfast starting at 6:30 AM. Its location is excellent, right next to Gimpo International Airport, just a few minutes' walk to the airport.

This hotel is incredibly close to Gimpo Airport, just a few minutes from the subway station. The surrounding area is packed with great food and drink options. Plus, it's near the LG Arts Center and Seoul Botanic Park, making it a fantastic spot for a run. The hotel rooms come with a washing machine and an induction hob, but note that laundry detergent and cooking utensils aren't provided. If you brought a small pot, you could easily cook your own meals!

A decent, no-frills hotel. The lobby isn't very big. It's conveniently located, within walking distance to public transport (buses and subway). There are also restaurants and duty-free shops along the way. My king-size room was on the top floor with a nice view, but the twin room on the back didn't have much to see. The room was clean, though smaller than what you'd find in China. Be careful in the bathroom as there's a step, which might be tricky for older guests or children. There were no power adapters, so bring your own. Slippers and toiletries were provided.

The hotel is roughly equidistant from Jeungmi and Deungchon stations on Line 9. Jeungmi is a bit closer but involves a steep incline, while Deungchon is slightly further but has a gentler slope. We opted for Jeungmi Station for both arriving at and departing from the hotel. Incheon Airport is about an hour away by subway. The hotel also provides information on airport buses, but they are significantly more expensive than public transport. Since we were already heading to the subway, we decided to stick with it. Moreover, we had purchased a Climate Card (15,000 KRW for 5 days of unlimited travel), which covered our airport journey as well. The most convenient way to get around from the hotel is by bus. Bus 6712 is a must-remember: it takes you to Hapjeong Station for transfers to Subway Lines 2 and 6, or directly to Hongdae. We used this bus daily. Definitely download Naver Maps for navigation! The hotel rooms are quite spacious, equipped with both air conditioning and underfloor heating. However, I was baffled by the bathroom's lack of a proper wet/dry separation. There's a glass screen, but it doesn't seal at the bottom, and there's no curb in the shower area to contain the water. Consequently, after every shower, the entire bathroom floor would be soaked. I ended up having to huddle in a corner just to shower. Despite its generous size, the bathroom's design is very impractical. There's a convenience store conveniently located on the ground floor, and the lounge area is quite spacious. We noticed a lot of tour groups from Southeast Asia staying here. Unfortunately, the hotel's soundproofing isn't great. We could often hear the tour groups quite loudly when they left early in the mornings or returned late at night.

Stayed here for 2 nights and overall it was a good choice in a convenient location. The hotel was new and clean throughout (room, corridors, lift, gym area — spotless every day). Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly and helpful. The only real downside was the soundproofing — the walls are quite thin. Unfortunately we got a room next to a family with a baby, disturbed a few times.

The suite was truly amazing, the bed and room was very comfortable and met our expectations. The hotel workers were kind and helpful. There was a few restaurants/cafes close by, and a convenience store in the first floor of lobby and another just 50 meters away. We didn’t know the pool had different times when you can swim and only use one time, as well as need for swimming cap. I wish there was time at the pool were it would be only adults. Since when we wanted to go it was just to many children, which made us just go and not swim.. overall the room was awesome and close to airport, but really wish they had some adult only times at the pool!

Location of Mayfield is perfect for short term visitors of Korea. It next to Gimpo airport, but Incheon airport is just a short taxi ride away. The hotel has nice modern room with excellent breakfast options. The nearby Lotte mall is a great place to shop for luxury items. Highly recommended hotel.
