Hotels near Balsan Station, Seoul

Overall, we had a pleasant 6-night stay at Intercity Seoul Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and although we requested no housekeeping during our stay, the staff thoughtfully left clean face towels and two bottles of water outside our door every morning. The toilet was also clean, though it would have been better if there was a shower curtain to prevent the bathroom floor from getting wet after showers. The location was convenient, within about 10 minutes’ walking distance to the station, with plenty of restaurants nearby and a convenience store directly opposite the hotel. While the housekeeping staff had limited English, the front desk staff were friendly and able to communicate with us well. One small downside was that the front desk was sometimes unattended during late evening or early morning hours. On one night, there were several suspicious-looking men attempting to access the elevator, but thankfully the hotel uses a key card access system for the lifts to guest floors, which added reassurance for security.

Room & Space We stayed in a corner suite with one queen bed and one single bed, and it was very spacious for two people. The room was clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out—nothing overly fancy, but everything felt intentional. Bed was comfortable, water pressure solid (which matters more than people admit), and housekeeping was consistent. Bathroom & Amenities Bathroom was clean and functional, no complaints there. There’s also a washer in the room, but no dryer—so plan accordingly unless you enjoy air-drying your wardrobe like it’s a lifestyle. Location Location-wise, it’s a bit of a trade-off. It’s close to Gimpo Airport and surrounded by office buildings like Samsung and LG, so the area feels more business than tourist. It’s quite a distance from hotspots like Myeongdong, Gangnam, Hongdae, and Seongsu. Getting Around If you’re okay taking the MRT, it’s manageable—but expect about 45 minutes each way, which can get tiring after a full day out. Food & Breakfast The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, and finding proper breakfast nearby can be a bit tricky. That said, there are plenty of coffee spots around, so caffeine won’t be an issue—just don’t expect a full brunch situation right downstairs. Service Service was smooth and no-nonsense. Staff were polite, efficient, and didn’t overcomplicate anything—which, after a long day out, is exactly what you want. Final Verdict It’s not a luxury hotel, and it doesn’t try to be. But for the price, it delivers way more than expected. Would I Stay Again? Yes—especially if I want comfort, space, and don’t mind commuting a little.

My room type came with a microwave, which was very convenient for meals. However, the floor was quite slippery, and the slippers provided made it even worse; even a little water on the floor made it treacherous. The hotel is surprisingly close to the subway station, much closer than I expected, and it was generally quiet for sleeping. My main complaint is about some inconsiderate Korean guests who were often running and playing loudly in the hallways or dragging tables and chairs around in their rooms late at night, making it difficult to fall asleep. While the room was spacious, it surprisingly lacked a table and chairs for this room type, which made eating and drinking quite inconvenient as there was nowhere to sit. Most other room types seemed to have them. I tried to communicate with the hotel about adding a table and three chairs, but they didn't arrange it, showing a lack of flexibility. Also, the breakfast was quite good and varied, but I couldn't understand why the heating wasn't on and the air conditioning was, making the B1 restaurant feel like an icebox.

Excellent location, with plenty of dining options nearby and easy access to the subway. However, the interior facilities are quite basic, and the decor feels a bit dated. That said, considering the prices in Seoul, it's still understandable.

It was right by a main road, but quite a distance from the subway station. The window was small, and there was some noise from the upper floor and the road. Other than that, it had a bathtub, and the cleanliness wasn't bad. Overall, I was satisfied with it as a good value-for-money option.

Nice locations and friendly staff. The fitness room is a bit small but they offer free coffee, which tastes decent. Recommend this place to those who want to stay in a nice location at a decent price.

The front desk staff were warm and attentive. The room was bright, spacious, and very clean and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Gimpo Airport, Incheon Airport, Myeongdong, and Hongdae. What's really worth mentioning is the food court on B2, which has many restaurants and convenience stores, and Lotte Department Store is right across the street. A big plus is that you can reach the subway station via an underground passage, which is super convenient for guests, especially on rainy days or in winter. The hotel should definitely highlight this as it's a great advantage.

ギンポ空港に夜遅くに到着する予定だったので、同空港から近いこのホテル を選びました。地下鉄五号線で空港から10分位で最寄駅であるファゴック駅につき、3番出口から歩いて10分くらいでした。午後 11時ちょっと前でしたが、結構人通りはあり、危ない感じはなかっ たです。 ホテルというかモーテルなので、入り口はちょっと怪しい 雰囲気でしたが、受付の女の人は感じがよかった。部屋は値段相応ですが、寝具はきれいだったし、南京虫とかはいなかったし、シャワーのお湯もちゃんとでたので、寝るだけなら十分でした。あと、ケーブルテレビ がみられて、英語や日本語の放送もあったのはよかったです。

The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly warm, attentive, and thorough. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and very comfortable. The hotel offers breakfast starting at 6:30 AM. Its location is excellent, right next to Gimpo International Airport, just a few minutes' walk to the airport.
