Hotels near Shionoe Onsen, Takamatsu

"Since I was traveling to Takamatsu in January and April, I did a lot of comparisons and finally chose the Sanuki Shionoe Onsen Hotel. The ryokan is a bit out of the way, but it's easy to find if you're driving and have a GPS. The hotel is a relatively large, standalone building in the area, and while its exterior isn't particularly special, it has the Japanese-style onsen ryokan aesthetic that many travelers prefer. Many local Japanese tourists visit here. The guest rooms are very spacious and clean, and fully equipped. We booked two rooms, including breakfast and dinner. The price was a bit high, but dinner turned out to be a Japanese-style buffet. Although the variety wasn't as extensive as in larger, formal hotels, all the traditional Japanese dishes were available, and to our surprise, they even had teppanyaki wagyu beef! The food tasted great, and we were very satisfied. There aren't many hot springs, just one indoor and one outdoor, but the onsen water is incredibly smooth – it's the best I've soaked in recently. So I specifically recommend this hotel to friends planning to visit the area. The overall service at the hotel was also excellent!"

"We carried the baggage from a public bus station around 15 mins, the facilitates are not bad, the staff are nice and help. We are quite enjoyable to have a hot spring there. You can go to have dinner and breakfast in their restaurant. The price of food are not expensive. "

"Even if you arrive late, you are kindly greeted and the lake was so nice with a view. When I went out at night, I could see the night sky full of stars even if there were some bugs."

"It's a 5-minute drive from Takamatsu Airport. I called and drove to the hotel. It's about a 20-30 minute walk. It's an uphill ride to the airport. Is this the only airport hotel? They have a large communal bath. I added breakfast, but the selection was limited for the price. They serve udon noodles. The Wi-Fi connection was unstable for some reason. Apparently, APA Hotel members can check in smoothly. The beds were soft, but the pillows were firm. It was a typical business hotel. The only nearby attractions are Toyota Rent-a-Car and a park with facilities for grass skiing. It's quiet."

"香川温泉酒店大比較。平均每晚1500元左右。 香川大江户，這一家，還有海のやどり（在香川東北角） 設施：室內一般，衹能説正常。兩個單人床一個沙發床，適合親子。和大江户差不多，但基本都在室外：室外游泳池，乒乓球枱等，唱k付費 衞生：相對乾淨整潔 環境：窗外江景，本身在山裡，周圍沒啥。 服務：因為人相對比較少，有種被重視的感覺。沒有在大江户和旅遊團一起拼殺的感覺。 晚餐：很講究，很浪漫，是前菜，主餐，甜點的順序逐一上菜的。 早餐：也是相對豐富，可選擇的很多。 温泉：地方有點小，但人也少，所以也還好。就是室內一小塊，露天一小塊。肯定沒有大江户那麼大氣了。 整體感受：温泉酒店的對比，無非就是餐食，室內，温泉的比較。 這家的晚餐還是很贊，其他都是一般 三家整體評價 大江户：餐食4（最近太鹹），室內4，温泉5 這家： 餐食5，室內4，温泉3.5 海のやどり：餐食4，室內3.5（海景加分），温泉3 性價比和人氣的話，無奈還是大江户出色，畢竟娛樂設施齊全，附近還有主題公園。"

"I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a quiet hot spring experience away from crowds. It is located a bit remotely from the city and surrounded by nature, which I absolutely love! Driving here is quite accessible. Since I planned to stay for more than one day, they provided a free pickup from the Kotohira JR Station, which is also very convenient. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. This low-density hotel has around 26 rooms, so it sells out very quickly, especially during peak season. There is a small gift shop, but I found everything I needed there. The room met my expectations, offering enough space with an outdoor deck and a private hot spring tub. I could hop into the hot spring tub anytime. If in the summer, I would be sitting on the outdoor deck to take in the views of the woods and nature, listening to the birds sing. The lotion provided is of very good quality; I use it every time I finish in the hot spring, as it smooths my skin. I should check if the gift shop sells it. The minibar is well-stocked with coffee and tea, and a 2-liter bottle of water was provided, along with a filtered water tap in the washroom. The public hot spring is spacious, allowing for plenty of privacy. One thing I wasn't sure about was that they provided us with a twin bed room. Since I was there with my husband, we expected a double bed room. We didn’t check with them about it because we decided to use the futon bed instead, which was surprisingly comfortable. I ended up sleeping even deeper than on a regular bed.  We were also confused about the futon bed setup requiring an extra charge, guess it was considered an extra bed. However, they arranged it for us without charging extra, which we really appreciated!  The dining experience was fantastic as well. There are different sessions in the restaurant, and they assign different tables for each meal, making it feel like dining in various restaurants. The service was very professional, with the staff explaining each dish to us. Even though one server covered two tables, I felt like they were serving us privately and gave us enough personal time. The restaurant closes after breakfast and before dinner, which gives you a great opportunity to explore the area during lunchtime. There are also delicious udon restaurants nearby. Just a heads up, though—I didn’t notice any room service available, so if you want snacks in your room, it’s a good idea to prepare your own. I am looking forward to staying in their other branches!"
