Hotels near Mount Shosha Ropeway, Himeji

First time staying at a Dormy hotel inn and super impressed with the level of hospitality for the price! 1. Public onsen and sauna are available on the top floor. Gender segregated with both indoor and outdoor (rotenburo) sections and the usual amenities. Only the sauna is closed overnight, the onsen remains open. Washing machine and dryer are available on 12F too. The washing machine is free, the dryer is not. 2. Free refreshment once you're done with your onsen. Ice cream at night and probiotic drink in the morning. 3. Free serving of ramen (yonakisoba) at night from 21:30-23:00. Head over to the restaurant at 2F. 4. Breakfast buffet is available and it was honestly quite decent for the price. Would stay at Dormy again if I return to Japan 😊

We were a family of three traveling to Himeji and stayed for three nights. We initially booked a Hollywood twin room, but found it wasn't suitable upon entering. After discussing it with the hotel staff, we were able to switch to a 27-square-meter standard room, which we were very happy with. The staff were extremely helpful and kept bowing. What we liked most about this hotel was its location. Looking at Google Maps, there are about 50 restaurants within a 1km radius, and it's only about a 5-minute walk from Himeji Station. In short, the location is unbeatable. It's also very convenient to get to Engyo-ji Temple; one bus takes you directly to the final stop. Oh, and a special mention for breakfast – 800 yen for children and 1800 yen for adults. It's definitely worth trying!

Love the location, near JR stations with easy access to eateries and shopping. Although the hotel doesn’t has it own parking, it has plenty of coin parking nearby and price is reasonable with max 800 / 900 jpy for 24 hours (hotel website provides recommended coin parking area for reference). Bed is very comfy. Only negative point is that the room is a bit narrow with 3 beds. Other than that, it’s perfect for my family of 4 (with one sharing existing bed).

Breakfast buffet ( included in the hotel price) is very delicious with many varieties, especially freshly squeezed fruit, vegetable juice, fruits like apples, pineapples, mangoes which were not available in my previous hotel at Toyoko Inn at Fukuyama. However, my only problem was my knee issue ( chronic joints pain) as it was a bit difficult due to pain to get onto the elevated bathroom in the room.

We stayed at this hotel for three days and were very satisfied. The breakfast had slight variations each day, offering local specialties, and there was a delicious coffee machine available at all times. In the evenings, they even provided free alcoholic beverages and ochazuke (rice with tea/broth), which was absolutely perfect for the price. The hotel is also very close to the station; you can reach the Shinkansen platform in under 5 minutes if you're not carrying heavy luggage. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be great if the hairdryer in the room had a stronger airflow.

This was the accommodation I chose to visit Himeji Castle. The facilities were clean, and each bedroom had a TV, so I could even watch Japanese programs. There was also a co-working space available, and both the accommodation and the co-working area had manga that you could freely read. It’s only about a 5-minute walk from the station, which is very convenient, and about 5 minutes by bus to Himeji Castle. I also visited Kokoen Garden next to the castle, and during the spring season, it’s open at night as well—so after enjoying the night view, I could easily return to the accommodation. 히메지 성을 보러 가기 위해 선택한 숙소였어요 시설은 깨끗하고 침실마다 TV도 있어 일본 방송도 볼 수 있었어요 코워킹 공간도 이용할 수 있었고, 숙소와 코워킹 공간에는 만화책도 있어서 자유롭게 볼 수 있어요 역에서 걸어서 5분거리로 엄청 가깝고 히메지 성과는 버스로 5분 거리에요 히메지 성 옆 코코엔(일본정원)도 구경하고 요즘 봄 시즌에는 야간 개장도 해서 관람 후 숙소로 편하게 도착할 수 있었어요

The hostess is very kind. She asked me to introduce a restaurant nearby and go to table tennis in the evening. There are no Koreans, and there are almost many American guests in Europe. It's very far from the station, but it's very close to Himeji Castle.

Best VIEW hotel (affordable price) so far as I tried many hotel in Japan before. Room quite small, wifi on my room not stabil and my lamp turn off twice without no one touching anything. It still fine tho. Abundantly amenities it was amazing! If you come to Himeji, I will recommend this hotel! It only straight from HIMEJI station and easy to find food nearby! Ps : my room space a bit weird. Hard to put 2 small cabin luggage. I hope only my room have this matter.

Location is really close to train station which I like. Lots of food options around. Himeji castle is a 20 minute walk but you can opt to take a bus if you have walking issues. The bathroom and toilet is separated. Towels and amenities such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush, and moisturizing lotion are provided. To be honest we didn't know how to operate the bath pool/jacuzzi, but it was already full when we got there so it was nice. There's a windowsill which allows you to peek inside the soaking area so that was funny. If you're with your spouse it wouldn't matter though.
