GGuest UserGreat location however parking was a bit unclear which make me stop at a no stopping sign, hopefully didn’t get a fine. Besides have to pay Y1000 for parking is a bit high. I rather they charge together with room rates. If travel by train the location would be fantastic

JJosiahTravelsI had a really enjoyable stay at Dormy Inn Asahikawa. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a great place to unwind after a long day of exploring.
The service was consistently good throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience feel smooth and welcoming.
One of the highlights was the location—there are plenty of great food options nearby, so it was easy to find something delicious at any time. What truly elevated the stay, though, was the in-house onsen. It was a fantastic way to relax and recharge, especially after being out in the cold.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Asahikawa.

AAnonymous UserThe location was fantastic, walking distance from station and on the same block as the main shopping street.
This is a small Japanese apartment, so felt a little cramped using the bed and sofa bed. However all important amenities were provided. Great to use the kitchen and laundry facilities.
Management company was very professional and responsive.
Some dust and hairs were found so would like some more attention to the cleaning.

YYi-Tzu ChenA good option for solo skiing in Asahikawa. After breakfast, head to the bus station. I personally think walking to the OMO7 bus stop (about 10 minutes) is better, as you can board directly. If that's closer, you can go to the station bus stop (7 minutes), but you'll have to wait for the bus. The advantage is you can leave later, but the disadvantage is that it might be full and you'll have to wait for an extra bus or sit in the aisle.
Free chicken curry rice is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 7 PM.
New towels and toothbrushes are provided daily. Lotion can be picked up in the lobby on the first floor.
Delivery packages (ski equipment, etc.) can be collected.
The room is spacious for one person, and economical for two.

ZZhouyoujixiaozhouDue to frequent JR cancellations during my arrival, I considered canceling my Asahikawa trip. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the hotel and the platform, and providing JR's official cancellation notice, the hotel's firm refusal to issue a refund was truly disappointing. The hotel itself is decent; its strengths are its direct visibility from Asahikawa Station and the spacious rooms. There's a more famous hotel across the street, but overall, the hotel's facilities are quite old, and the experience wasn't particularly cozy. It's acceptable as a stopover for exploring the surrounding areas.

AAnonymous UserIt's about a 15-minute walk from JR, which was a bit tiring with luggage. Luckily, it wasn't raining or snowing. I'd recommend taking a taxi if you have a lot of luggage or people, it'll save you time and effort. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to open two 30-inch suitcases. There's a sauna upstairs, but we heard it was a bit stuffy, so we didn't try it. The service was pretty good, and breakfast was decent too.

GGuest UserThe room was really small and the hotel itself was quite old. There's a hot spring bathhouse on the basement level, which is convenient for showering, and toiletries can be picked up for free in the lobby, which is well-stocked. There's a self-service laundry room on the ground floor; washing and drying are separate, and the dryer isn't very efficient, so plan your laundry time accordingly. The restaurant is on the top floor with a beautiful view, and the breakfast is very rich with daily rotating dishes – they put a lot of effort into it. The location is great, not far from Asahikawa Station, and dining is very convenient with many restaurants to choose from.

GGuest UserVery professional hotel and the rooms have a cool layout. I love that the windows actually open so you can get fresh air. The mattresses are very firm (good for your back) but the pillows are kind of weird memory foam blocks, so that was a bit awkward. I put a shirt under one pillow to bring it up to normal height for my neck. They are too low otherwise but stacking two of them is way too much, I would suggest putting a mixture of fluffy normal pillows and these memory foam things.
Otherwise the hotel is pretty great, relaxed atmosphere, right on the main street and very close to two different Lawson kombinis, and a Mister Donut is literally right next door and stays open late. So you're in a great spot. You can do anything at R Hotels. I felt really good energy and the staff were super professional and friendly. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

GGuest UserHotel Crescent is one of my favorite hotels in Japan. Very professional and nice staff, even the cleaning people make an effort to manage their noise if they know someone is still sleeping in a room, which is above and beyond. The staff at Crescent kept my luggage for a long time when my return trip got delayed which was a huge relief. The lobby gives such a unique atmosphere, it's at once august and stately, like one of the grand art deco hotels of the past era, but it also has a fun little gift shop area and a cafe, so it feels relaxed. Crescent is just a really friendly place where you don't have to worry about anything. Their website explains their ”Kaizen” philosophy, which now is a famous Japanese management philosophy of continuous improvement in each area. It really shows at this hotel. This is the kind of hotel you end up becoming a better person because the staff is so professional and kind. Thank you for a great stay and for being one of my favorite places in Japan :)
