Unboxing the newly opened hotel! The lobby smelled wonderful, and the service was excellent! However, there was a peculiar smell in the room – a mix of wood and body odor. I complained about it downstairs, and even after changing rooms, the smell remained the same. It wasn't quite right for me. But the room itself was clean and comfortable. I think the breakfast selection could be more varied, which would make it even better.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, perfectly sized rooms, and stunning views. It's also quite new, with great facilities and top-notch service. My only slight disappointment was the wait for breakfast, but it was tolerable. The best part is that breakfast runs from 6:30 AM all the way to 1 PM, which is a blessing for late sleepers!

Our family of three had a very comfortable stay for four nights and five days. I hate cramped and cramped rooms, so I'm glad I chose the spacious suite. It's designed for six people, with three double beds and one single bed, so we each had our own spacious bed and slept comfortably. Basic cooking utensils and cutlery were provided, making it easy to make ramen. A Max Value convenience store is located five minutes away and is open 24 hours, so we packed lunches in the evening and reheated them in the morning. There's a large public bath on the first floor, and soaking in the warm bath at night completely melted away my fatigue. I'd definitely choose this place again the next time I visit Miyakojima.
The facilities are designed to ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience, even in a compact space. To provide our guests with a satisfying stay, we have equipped all rooms with Simmons beds, which are designed for ultimate comfort. It was my first time staying in a container hotel, but it was comfortable and great. I appreciated getting various snacks with the vouchers provided. It was non-smoking, so there was no cigarette smell. There was also a laundry room and vending machines (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic) on-site, so I could go whenever I needed something. They also provided one bottle of water per day, which was helpful when making instant noodles or other drinks.

I enjoyed the natural beauty of Miyakojima and Shimojishima Island at Meer Hotel. It was easy to get there from Shimojishima Airport as bus number 9 stops right in front of the accommodation. I could also take bus number 9 to Painagama Beach and Maehama Beach. It was great to cook meals with my family at Meer Hotel, and the towels were changed regularly, which was a nice touch. They even lent us a Wi-Fi device, which was a huge help for our trip. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided lots of helpful information, making for a wonderful week. I'd love to visit Miyakojima again and this is definitely a hotel I'd return to. Thank you so much!
P.S. If you go behind the accommodation at night, you can see the stars. There are many palm trees right next to the hotel, giving it a real tropical feel. Don Quijote, a local produce market, Aeon Drugstore, and Aeon (Maxvalu) supermarket are all within a 5-minute walk, making it the perfect location for a trip.

My overall experience staying at an apartment hotel in Japan this time was quite good. The room was more spacious than a typical hotel room and came with amenities like a kitchenette and washing machine, making it very convenient and home-like. It's especially suitable for longer trips or families. Coming back to the room every day and being able to truly relax definitely added a lot to my trip.
While there were a few minor hiccups, such as not receiving the room number and password upon check-in and it taking a little time to contact the front desk, the hotel staff were very patient and helpful in resolving the issues, and their friendly attitude made me feel at ease.
Overall, this stay was still pleasant and highly recommendable. Not only was it comfortable and convenient, but it also offered a more authentic feeling of living like a local. I would definitely consider choosing an apartment hotel again on my next visit to Japan.

Spacious rooms and very clean. Basic design but good value for money. Location is out of town, you will need a car. But they have car rental on site.
Overall it’s great. Just watch out for car parking spaces. They have a secondary car park but it’s 800m from the hotel and you will need to get the hotel van. The road is unsafe to walk on at night as no lights.
Great experience in Miyakojima!
Location: The hotel is located in the center of the city, which is super convenient as a starting point to anywhere of the island: from here, the taxi to any direction is within 30 minutes at a cost of less than 3,000 yen. There is a FamilyMart across the road and you can get anything needed easily. And there are a lot of good dining places in the neighborhood. I made no reservation to any restaurant but just take a short walk randomly to the nearby restaurant every day and always find delicious food (there is one Japanese-style wagyu BBQ across the street which is super good!).
Room: The room is cozy and spacious. You won’t feel it too narrow to open your suitcase as hotels in Japan elsewhere. The bed is comfortable.
Facilities: There is a microwave in each floor, which is useful especially you need to leave early in the morning and have no time for breakfast. And there are also washing machines and dryers on the 1st floor, which is a must-have if you have activities in the sea.
If there is any improvement I must say, that is the light in the room is too dim and it is not easy to do makeups.

Some rooms come with a washing machine and bathroom dryer,
which is perfect for people who want to wash clothes that get dirty from the ocean or sweat while traveling!!
Handles and clothespins for the bathroom dryer were provided.
The room was spacious, so there was no problem finding a place to unfold my suitcase.
As a hotel where you can stay as if you were living there, there was a kitchen and dining table, so I was able to easily enjoy some sea grapes and instant Okinawa soba noodles I bought at the supermarket in my room.

Great
GGuest UserThe room view is simply incredible, hands down the best on Miyakojima. The Coral Wing rooms are newer, but not as close to the ocean as the Ocean Wing. Personally, I think the Ocean Wing offers better value for money. The buffet breakfast and dinner are served in the same place; breakfast is definitely more lavish than dinner. A huge shout-out to the staff! My husband left some clothes behind, and while Trip.com was no help at all, I contacted the hotel directly, and they went above and beyond to mail them to us in Naha! A big thank you to the staff for their help!! They were truly dedicated and sincere in assisting us, not just going through the motions. Thank you!
GGuest UserWatermark was a perfect location for us on a couple’s getaway. Since we were flying into Shimojishima airport and rented a car, we found it to be a very convenient location—only a six minute drive away. Although we could see the runway in the distance, we hardly noticed the noise of air traffic. On top of that, we enjoyed that it was in a remote area and not in the middle of town (like Miyakojima) or in the midst of a major resort area (like Shigira). We didn’t mind exchanging more driving time for more serenity. I could go on about the location but if you are looking for a quiet place on the water, I highly recommend this hotel!
The staff were always polite, which is expected in Japan, but there was also a kind of relaxed warmth that I haven’t always felt from staff in other Japanese hotels.
The facilities also struck a perfect balance for us. Not garish, not too plain; just enough island flavor but not too much. I was refreshed every time I walked through the lobby. The breakfast buffet area was clean, fairly well organized and offered a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed our breakfast times daily. We used the laundry facilities and found the machines easy to use—glad to have had this option. We also enjoyed watching the sunset from both our room balcony and the rooftop pool.
We loved our room. It was simple but had everything we we wanted, including a balcony. If you’ve ever seen a modern Japanese one room apartment, it feels much the same, without the gas range. It was perfect for our stay.
EExistentialismeThe hotel is in a very good location, with a very good BBQ restaurant directly opposite. The portions are large enough for two grown men. It is next to a convenience store, Yoshinoya and McDonalds. The most important thing is that the local day trip will pick up guests directly at this hotel. Very convenient. You must take a taxi to travel in Miyako. It costs about 1,400 yen to take a taxi to Miyako Airport, which is about 4 kilometers.
The hotel breakfast is very good, rich and delicious, and you can eat a lot. Very good.
NNari.I recently stayed at Bibi Hotel Miyako Kukomae, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring Miyako Island. The hotel is modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for the price. Check-in was fully digital, making arrival smooth and stress-free, especially after a long flight.
My room was bright and well-designed, with a comfortable bed, fast Wi-Fi, and all the essentials for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the washing machine and mini-kitchen, which made the trip more convenient. Everything felt new and well maintained.
The location is ideal—just a short drive from Miyako Airport and close to supermarkets and local eateries. It was easy to pick up food or hop in the car to the beaches. Sunayama Beach and Yonaha Maehama were both within quick reach. Despite the convenience, the neighborhood was quiet at night, allowing for a restful sleep.
Parking was simple and free, which is a huge plus on Miyako Island. The self-service system meant I could come and go at any time without worrying about reception hours.
Overall, Bibi Hotel Miyako Kukomae offers great value, comfort, and convenience. It’s perfect for travelers who want a clean, practical, and well-located base while discovering the beauty of Miyako Island.
HHello_tripOnly the best impressions from staying in a hostel. How to visit a Japanese house with good hosts. 💖 You need to follow the rules so that everyone is clean and comfortable: sort the garbage, do not enter the house in shoes, it's easy. In a separate fenced room there is air conditioning, a clothes hanger, a futon, a pillow and a light blanket, that's enough. There is a shared refrigerator, you can fry toast, shower and toilet separately for men and women. There is a good store next to the hostel, a place for snorkeling, you can buy coffee. From the airport you can get there by bus 7 or with a transfer first by bus 9, then bus 7. If I can, I will come again!❤️
GGuest UserPros: The swimming pool and small beach are convenient for playing in the water; parking is close and ample; the rooms are spacious and functional; the hotel is clean; the staff speak Chinese; the housekeeping staff are very polite and smiling; the hotel shop has a wide selection of common souvenirs and local specialties.
Cons: The surrounding dining options are not as numerous as in the city; latex pillows are not provided; and the breakfast options and variety are limited.
GGuest UserThe most enjoyable part of our stay was the location, which was close to Sunayama Beach. The staff were also very accommodating and kindly provided us with two extra pillows upon request.
However, there was an unpleasant odor in the room when we checked in, though I couldn’t identify what it was. We also checked out 15 minutes late, and a cleaning staff member knocked on our door. She was polite and friendly throughout the interaction.
Unfortunately, our flight was canceled due to a typhoon, and the hotel did not refund the first night of our stay, which was disappointing.
Overall, the stay was okay, with both positive and negative aspects.
ししおり旅I shiori TripI would like to use this hotel again.
Since I don't have a driver's license, I looked for the hotel's location and facilities before booking.
What was particularly good was that they have bicycle rentals, a large public bath, and it's a 10-minute walk to Yonaha Beach North. We went to Yonaha North Beach to watch the sunset and had an amazing view.
The facilities are more like a business hotel than a resort hotel, but everything you need is there so there's no need to worry. Also, there is a large public bath and you can relax in the quiet building.
*There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, but there is a restaurant inside the building.
GguuunI stayed here on a trip with friends.
The entrance was completely closed before 3pm so we couldn't check in early, but other than that the room was spacious, the bed was big and the amenities were plentiful so it was very comfortable!
