"My stay began on a disappointing note. I arrived at the lobby on a Sunday afternoon and waited nearly 40 minutes before anyone attended to me. Although I was clearly in line, a couple of other guests approached the desk and were assisted before me. I expected the concierge or front-desk staff to notice the situation and assist guests in the order they arrived, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Once I was finally checked in, I was assigned a room on the fourth floor. The room itself was acceptable. I generally do not have particularly high expectations regarding hotel-room ambience, as I find that it often does not vary significantly across hotels, regardless of their star rating. What I found especially unreasonable was the hotel’s pricing. Items available in the room, such as a Snickers bar priced at ₹155 and a packet of Lay’s priced at ₹55, ***** with peanuts and carbonated drinks, were listed at several times their normal retail prices. The markup was so excessive that it made me wonder whether the hotel actually wanted guests to consume these items or was simply trying to impose an unnecessary and inflated expense. The same applied to transportation. The hotel quoted ₹1,800 plus taxes for a sedan to the airport. I booked an Uber for the exact same journey for ₹699. Charging well over twice the market price—and then adding taxes on top of it—is frankly absurd. Hotel convenience may reasonably come at a premium, but this felt less like a premium service and more like an attempt to take advantage of guests. The complimentary breakfast, however, offered a wide variety of options and was probably the most redeeming part of the stay."

"My stay in Oasis hotel from 7-10/10.Hotel , staffs very helpful, friendly and approachable. frontline, to servers, smart, clean and well dressed. Hotel looks new and pleasing.Setup beautiful.Rms were ,clean, tidy ,neat on arrival. Food thou vegetarian and catered outside as i heard was excellent everyday which i look forward to, coffee was super. Only comment, housekeeping service like making up beds, rm cleaning , and topping up of water, toiletries, beverages, daily could be done on time. 🙏🏽for our 4 days stay in You’re hotel a memorable one.."

"Excellent service by Taj staff, smooth check in, restful nights. Security team very friendly, responsible and helpful . Buffet service the coffee and tea beverage can be better too diluted. Needs improvement. All staff helpful and forthcoming. Rooftop and in room svc is good, enjoyable in days when you don’t want to eat out. The team members of Mr Yabesh and Tejkumar are excellent. Looking forward to my next stay. Thank you"

I have been visiting Chennai for ten years and have stayed at many different properties across the city, but this was one of the least welcoming experiences I have had. The atmosphere made me feel invisible rather than cared for, and the overall hospitality fell short of what I have come to expect. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you are not a local tourist."

"A great hotel to stay. Just note that the bfast is pure vegetarian. You have access to the mall eateries from 10am, so not an issue. Connected to a very modern mall with lots of designer brands! Foodcourt on Level 4, other modern eateries on every floor. Chances of bumping into some South Indian movie celebrities at the mall!"

"One of the best hotel. Such a welcoming and friendly staffs. The hotel is classy and has every need just for a normal single room; from mini fridge to heating kettle. I was really impressed. Just that the location is beside the road side and the signboard got camouflage."

"It was a cheap Ibis brand hotel, but the room facilities were quite old and the water facilities were very worn out. Breakfast was for locals only and there was very little for foreigners to eat. There were no convenience stores nearby, so it would have been nice to have a mini shop."

"I stayed at the hotel from 29 May 2026 to 7 Jun 2026. Except for an unpleasant encounter with the gym staff who tailed me from the gym to the sauna/changing area on 1 Jun, I was always greeted with a bright smile and respect from the moment I set foot at the front entrance until I entered my room. I would particularly like to commend the doormen Ilayarajah, Yuvi and Loganathan, the catering team John and his team members Subbu, Suresh, Siva and Vinoth as well as Venkat and his concierge team. Regarding the gym incident, I was visiting birding sites for my Chennai trip so had to carry a big backpack for my Sony camera and sufficient water supply for the very warm weather. On the above-mentioned day, I had returned a little earlier in the evening and headed straight to the gym in my birding gear. I was annoyed when the gym staff tailed me to the sauna area and left to tell the Guest Relations Staff at the Lobby."
