"The service was great, and the location is very convenient. There's a subway station about an 8-minute walk away, along with a few convenience stores and a McDonald's nearby. The hotel breakfast has a consistent standard, with a fixed selection each day, including vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers, and a chopped fruit platter."

"I stayed at this hotel and it was wonderful—truly incredible. The service was excellent, and I was completely satisfied. It was exactly what I needed and what I was looking for. I had a quiet room where nobody disturbed me, so I was able to rest very well. The room was properly cleaned and hygiene was well maintained. Everything was neat and clean—the washroom, bedsheets, carpet, and even the room itself smelled fresh and pleasant. Overall, if anyone wants to explore London, Acton Travel Lodge is a very good place to stay. No matter how long you plan to stay, I would recommend choosing Acton."

"The hotel location is superb. It’s almost next to the tube station. Our room is at the top floor, there’s a bit of leg work. It’s ok for us coz we were not having huge luggage. When we got to the room, there was a strong stinky smell from toilet. Good that we immediately turned on the shower to wet the drainage. Room was good size for two and with WiFi. Unfortunately, the shower was super hot that I could not take a shower. We did not know if turning down the boiler helps with lowering the temperature of the water. Bedding were very clean! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice that this hotel stay comes with nice breakfast too."

"The hotel is great, nothing to complain about, considering it's significantly cheaper than most comparable options closer to the center of London and breakfast is even included. The only caveat is, that the breakfast selection is limited and the coffee could be better. But all in all I'd recommend this hotel."

"Hotel 30-35 minutes from the city center by metro. The rooms are small but clean, except for the carpet full of crumbs and other debris. The kettle, as well as the bathroom dispensers, are caked on. Clean sheets and a comfortable bed. The lobby and rooms are clean. The quality and price are fair. A supermarket, metro, and a few restaurants are within walking distance. Overall, a good stay."

"We stayed at Crown Plaze Hotel for a night, the location is good just 2 mins walk to Tube Station Hanger Lane, Room size and ambience is good & lovely, The only thing is bed is a bit small and too soft for us, bathroom size is fine but we don't like the shower curtain, though it is clean but it does have smell on it. I think the hotel is a bit outdated but oveall it is not too bad in this price in London."

"The best part about the hotel is the location. It's quite close to the Tube and fairly central so it's easy to get around London and meet people. I also thought that the breakfast was good or good enough and the gym was also satisfactory. The one area I felt the hotel didn't meet my expectations was the small matter of being able to sleep. There is no meaningful air conditioning in the rooms and unfortunately the summer has been quite hot. If you are reading this in your room and it's 3 a.m. as you sweat and desperately try to work out whether or not it's something you've misunderstood about the controls or whether something is broken in your room (much like I did at 3 a.m. my first night), then let me assure you that it's not a you problem. The A/C simply doesn't work. It's just on the wall for show. In the three nights I stayed I slept about an hour and a half per night. After the first night I went to the front desk and raised my concern and they gave me a fan I could plug in. This was kind but also not sufficient. Here are a few tips for you should you decide you want to stay at the hotel in the summer: 1. One thing that worked for me first is to take a freezing cold shower before bed and then as you wake up in a pool of sweat every two to three hours take another freezing cold shower. 2. Another option that I tried was to sleep on the floor because the closer you get to the ground the cooler the air becomes. However it's questionable whether the change in temperature is worth being on that carpet. 3. A third option you might consider is to buy something frozen or if possible freeze a large watermelon or vegetable like a zucchini and sleep with it hugging it throughout the night. I unfortunately didn't think to try this but I would love to hear back if you try it and it works for you."

"It was really nice to stay here. You can have a delicious breakfast every day at an overwhelmingly cheaper price than central London! It is also attractive to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Hair dryer was available for rental! Compact but clean, and you have everything you need. The staff are really friendly and helpful to everyone. The bus stop was in front of me, and the road to the station for about 15 minutes was easy to walk and comfortable."

"Best hotel staff I have ever met. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are super clean too. However, the rooms are… OLD. The bathroom is cold and has a hospital feel. The water took 3 minutes (literally) to get hot and fails to maintain one temperature. Every room is paper thin. I can hear noises (noises that couples make) down the corridors. My room was also situated extremely far from the lifts so it was a maze to get out every time. Unfortunately, this is what I would expect from a budget hotels not a “by Hilton” level. Truly disappointed."

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

GGuest UserGreat hotel in great location. Really pleased with facilities in the room which was super quiet and really clean with exception of carpet, few bits not hoovered but a minor issue for us. However, please ensure you have either a photo driving licence or passport at check in as we encountered quite an unhelpful lady who insisted that despite showing her the Trip emails and my bank cards said she still didn’t know that I was the person in the booking. I generally DO NOT travel for a weekend away to London with my passport (I have an old paper driving licence so not photo ID anyway) she didn’t seem to know what I was talking about when I mentioned this and looked confused! When I asked what I was supposed to do as I’d paid for two nights and had all the bookings just looked at me and repeated that she didn’t know who I was!!! My friend could see I was getting stressed and asked if we could get my husband to email copy of my passport, at which point she ashes if I had another credit/bank card and then proceeded to check us in!!!! Why could she not do this in the first place????? Anyway putting this to one side I would stay again, armed of course with passport!

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a strategic location, perfect for classic shopping trips and sightseeing. The rooms are larger than average for London, and the services are good. The building itself is quite old but well-maintained and partially modernized. The tea room and Indian restaurant are excellent. The main drawback, typical for hotels of this kind, is the bathroom – while efficient and clean, it's definitely dated and offers limited amenities.

DDr GAOThe room isn't huge, but it's clean and well-equipped. The staff are friendly, and the location is super convenient for transport. Especially the transport! This hotel is only about 400 meters from the tube station and 100-200 meters from a bus stop. London's tube and bus systems are excellent, getting you to almost all the main attractions easily.

GGuest UserI booked the room for 1 night as I was attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I was very happy with the cost of £73 for the night for a Superior Single room. The staff were friendly & welcoming. My room was on the 4th floor. The lift was very noisy which was a bit of a worry but it worked ok. The room was small with nowhere for me to put my small suitcase. When I first opened my room door I was met with a very noisy portable air con unit. Thankfully the heatwave earlier in the week had eased so I turned off the air con unit. The furnishings & bedding in the room were a little bit tired for a 4* hotel but ok. There were complimentary toiletries, bathroom robe & tea, coffee & a small packet of biscuits. I’d asked for a quiet room if possible & that’s what I got. I had a shower the next morning but it took a while to heat up. Also a non-adjustable monsoon shower head which could be an issue for some. Also part of the shower drain edge was broken. I didn’t pay for a breakfast upon booking as wanted to keep my options open. Both the Trip website & the signs in the hotel stated the cost of the buffet breakfast was £14 but the staff said it was £15. I decided on the breakfast in the end. There was plenty of choice even if the bacon & sausages were a bit dried out but that’s to be expected with a hot buffet breakfast. Caffeine free coffee was also available. I was happy with my short stay at The Rockwell & would definitely book again.

JJo WarawutIf you're staying here, you'll find the price reasonable, under 10,000 baht per night, especially since it's in Zone 2. Most places further in are over 10,000 baht. The hotel is clean and the service is standard. We requested two connecting suites for our daughters, and they had a sofa that converted into a bed. The furniture might look a bit dated because the hotel is old, but many things are clean and new. I liked the new Nespresso capsule coffee machine with complimentary large capsules. The tea here is also good. The bathroom has a bathtub with good water pressure, and the shampoo and conditioner smell nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's a bit old and the mattress isn't very soft. But overall, it was a comfortable stay.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington. The hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious, especially by London standards, making it a comfortable place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The location is excellent, with High Street Kensington Tube Station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore London and reach major attractions. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Overall, a great hotel with comfortable accommodations, a convenient location, and good value for money. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.

AAnonymous UserIt was great stay in Berjaya Eden! I personally live the vibdes. It was walking distance to Bayswater station and Queensway St. It also easy for you to find the halal foods. Its everywhere and easy to access! This is my second time to stayed here. The staff was really good and polite. Eventhough the room that i choose was a little bit “not so spacious” but its ok as long as it walking distance from one to another. Will repeat?? Of course YES!!

GGuest UserFrom the outside, the hotel looks good, but as soon as you're in the hallway, you realize it's a super old hotel. The rooms were scrawled on, extremely small, and had deteriorated over the years – but they were clean, as they were tidied daily. Additionally, there were hardly any power outlets, but the Wi-Fi reception was very good. The staff was very friendly, and the location was super central, making it very easy to get from A to B (the train station is 5 minutes away).
