"We have used The hotel H eco several times before. The rooms are usually quite nice for a 1 night stopover.
They are clean but basic which is just enough.
This time however, we arrived at midnight, used the codes to get in and found the room. There seemed to be quite a few men just hanging around, windows open, loud conversation and music going on.
Up in the room it was noisy, people chatting loudly next door by now 12:30.
We went to bed.
At 2-2:30 our door was rattled extensively which woke us up and left us a little un-nerved. There was still conversation from next door.
At 3:00 am our other neighbours returned talking at full volume, opening and closing the doors several times letting them bang and rattle.
There were lots of other noise and people moving about the building.
We didn’t get back to sleep, we had a terrible night which has taken its toll on us both during today’s long drive.
Unfortunately it will be unlikely that we will be staying here again.
A very noisy place that felt more like a young person’s hostel than a family friendly hotel."
"It feels pretty good. You can come to live. If you pass by, you can live because of work. Anyway, I just came here to make up a few words, ahahahahahahaha"
"A great option for a short stay in Calais. The hotel is clean, modern, and conveniently located with easy access to the city centre and ferry terminal. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were welcoming. The room was quiet and comfortable, with everything we needed for a good night’s rest. Excellent value for money — would definitely stay again."
"We chose this hotel for its excellent location near the Eurotunnel and were not disappointed. It's ideal for travelers looking for an easy connection.
What we liked:
Staff: Very friendly and helpful during check-in.
Rooms: The rooms were very clean and surprisingly well-equipped for a short stay.
Location: You're at the terminal in no time, which significantly reduces morning stress.
Things to note:
Breakfast: Unfortunately, we couldn't try breakfast as we had to leave very early. However, the hotel is still absolutely recommendable for early departures.
Bathroom: The shower was a bit 'unusual' or a little odd to operate, but perfectly fine for one night.
Conclusion:
A solid, clean hotel for anyone wanting to spend a night before crossing the tunnel. We would definitely stay here again!"
"Thank you very much! We were very well looked after by the hotel staff, and we had a great night’s sleep in a comfy bed with delightful pillows, and a very clean room. A baby bed was even brought in for us. Very kind and helpful! Thank you."

"I stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights. The hotel is ideally situated close to the centre of town. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has an old vintage feel to it which we liked. The room and bathroom were both clean with comfortable beds."

"The location is very good. It only takes a few minutes to walk to nearby restaurants. The room is clean and has a USB plug. The front desk is very friendly.
The triple room and bathroom are a bit small. There is no refrigerator in the room."

Great
GGuest UserOur stay in Calais is make wonderful by hosts Natalie and Luca. She has hep to arrange transportation to ferry terminal, put my car in private garage and prepare wonderful breakfast for our family. And the family has 2 very cute cats! Our stay here is made wonderful by their hospitality.
GGuest UserVery good hotel, the hotel is very quiet in the inner street of the city center, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The decoration is very distinctive and the staff is very polite. The breakfast is diverse and delicious. Personally highly recommended.
GGuest UserThere was no hot water in the shower. After reporting it to the front desk, I checked other rooms and there was no hot water either. The front desk was relatively helpless and he didn't know how to solve it himself. I'm more curious how other guests coped. In short, I didn't take a shower at night or in the morning. Fortunately, I stayed for one night and left.
NNo_return_dateVery basic stay. A short walk from the train station. They allow pets which might be a positive for some. I heard dog’s barking in the night which I did not appreciate. Breakfast was basic but adequate and staff was helpful.
GGuest UserVery pleased with the service, the staff there is kind and helpful, the room is clean and they have AC, out of my expectation! Quite near to the ferry, good for cyclists
