"I stayed with a work colleague and friend at Sunland International, and the experience was truly remarkable. The location was excellent, and the area was vibrant, with plenty of people around, which we really appreciated.
The best part of our stay was how friendly and helpful the staff were, without exception. A special mention goes to one of the staff members, Mr. Desi Wale, who was a true gentleman and assisted us with everything we needed. He was highly professional, courteous, and respectful, and his genuine smile and care made our stay even more enjoyable.
If I were to return to Addis Ababa, I would certainly choose to stay at this hotel again, given how well we were looked after by the friendly staff."

"✨ My Hotel Experience ✨
I initially booked only two days, but honestly, from the very first day, I felt incredibly comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and meticulously organized. Every detail reflects their attention to comfort and cleanliness. The atmosphere is relaxing, and you won't want to leave.
What truly set this place apart was the way the staff treated us. The manager is incredibly kind and courteous, always helpful and attentive to every detail to ensure our comfort. The staff are equally wonderful, always smiling, and their service is fast and excellent, making you feel like you're with family, not just a guest.
Because of this wonderful experience, I couldn't stop at just two days, and I ended up staying here even now. It truly deserves all the praise and appreciation, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean stay with top-notch service. 🤍"

"The following are the real pictures and videos I took when I checked into the hotel that day. I checked into room 6002 that day. Hotel location: convenient transportation. Hotel facilities: look at the pictures, which were taken when I checked in that day. Look at the pictures for bedding and linens, the bed is quite comfortable. Disposable slippers are provided. Hotel decoration: look at the pictures. Toilet: dry and wet separation. Breakfast: look at the pictures, it is a buffet. Hotel service staff: I personally think they are very service-minded and were quite nice during my stay. The pictures of the hotel are consistent with the pictures of the room I actually stayed in."

"I have been to Addis Ababa several times and I always like to stay in this hotel. The decoration and materials of the hotel are imported from China, and they are also of Chinese quality. I have high requirements for hygiene. Whether it is the lobby or the room, it is very hygienic and I am very satisfied. Whether it is the service staff or the boss of the hotel, they are very polite and enthusiastic. The price of the restaurant is also very reasonable. If the Chinese stomach is not particularly picky, whether it is pasta or fried rice, the taste is not bad. Although the breakfast is simpler, for me, eggs, fresh juice, and carbohydrates are enough. The only drawback is that the road at the door is not very flat and the quality of toilet paper is very average, but I got used to it after watching it in Ethiopia. The airport is free of charge."

GGuest UserWe stayed in the DoubleTree Hilton Addis Ababa as part of a two-day layover. A hotel shuttle bus transferred us from the airport, which took around five minutes, so very convenient. (We were expecting a hotel rep to greet us at the arrivals hall, but you need to exit the airport, go to the car park and find the bus.) The hotel is in a brightly-lit location; it's nice, clean and modern. The service is excellent: we received a warm reception and checked in swiftly - important if you're arriving late at night. The service at breakfast and elsewhere was equally excellent. Thank you! Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed but we ordered room service, which was OK. The room facilities are very good: comfy bed/pillows and a good selection of amenities.
The biggest issue is the shower: there was no hot water, so we had to ring for help. Someone came quickly, but it wasn't ideal especially as it was very late. The same thing happened throughout the rest of the stay. Also, the water from the shower overflowed onto the floor and, unless stopped with a towel, continued through into the room. Given that this is a 4/5-star hotel, this isn't acceptable. If the DoubleTree could resolve this, it would be the hotel of choice.

Amazing Stay – Highly Recommended!
I recently stayed at this guest house in Addis Ababa and had a wonderful experience. The place was very clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable. All the staff were lovely women, and they made me feel safe, welcomed, and well-looked after.
The manager, Ts’eḥāyon, was exceptional. She speaks fluent English, is very professional, and incredibly kind. She picked me up from the airport and drove me back at the end of my stay. She also offers amazing tours around the most popular and beautiful places in Addis at a very reasonable price, which made my trip truly special.
The price of the accommodation was also very affordable, especially considering the high level of service. I felt at home the entire .
I highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Addis Ababa. I will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThis service is absolutely terrible, truly awful. If you want to order room service and pay with cash, you have to go down to the front desk first to pay, and then the front desk notifies the restaurant. I tolerated that. But when I got to the front desk and explained why I was there, as I was about to pay, they asked me where the cash came from and demanded proof. I told them I got it from the bank earlier, but I'd already thrown away the receipt. Since I couldn't prove it, I couldn't order food. Seriously, I'm not paying to stay in a hotel, I'm paying for torture! What happened to the spirit of room service?
And then, when my friend went up to help me with my luggage, they demanded to hold onto my friend's passport at the front desk. I was furious and told them they had no right to detain my friend's passport. They righteously claimed it was for safety. I retorted that there are many ways to ensure safety, so why choose to seize a passport?
This stay was an incredibly bad experience. Their service doesn't even come close to hotels like Hyatt, Marriott, or Tulip. Some of the staff even seemed arrogant and stuck-up.
I will never stay here again.

AAtie TaktehraniThe host was an amiable and hospitable lady. She welcomes you with warmth, and the staff also behaves respectfully. The guesthouse is beautifully designed, with eye-catching artwork in every corner. Our room was lovely and comfortable, but there were some shortcomings. It seems that the main light in the room was burnt out, making it dark at night. Additionally, there was no trash bin in the room and the toilet hose needed repair.
The host has five adorable dogs, which is important to mention in the guesthouse description for those who may have sensitivities or fears of dogs. This information helps travelers decide whether to reserve a room, considering some people may be uncomfortable around dogs.
You can experience local cuisine at this guesthouse. If you enjoy Ethiopian food, you will appreciate the offerings. A supermarket is nearby, and you can use the kitchen facilities to prepare your meals.
Please note that hot water is not readily available. You'll need to inform the staff to heat the water, and it takes at least two hours for it to warm up.

But there are some disadvantages:
- location is not good
- there are no gym, spa or swimming pool
- late check out after 6 was not possible even after we paid extra (half of the daily cost)

GGuest UserThe front desk clerk and the boss were very welcoming. Since we didn't speak the same language, the clerk spoke very good English and helped us explain in detail to the driver where we were going, making us feel like family!
