"Negative:
Unfortunately, there was no lift. There is no reception for smaller concerns. The biggest discount point is that the walls are very bright. Therefore, you have heard both other hotel guests in the staircase and the baby in the neighbouring room (no charges to the family, but maybe there can still be constructively remedied). The room was cut off and its size was unfortunately not fully valid.
Plus points:
The online check-in and the digital opening of the hotel doors and room doors have worked very well and was practical. The hotel is very well connected to the ÖPNV: There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The bus brings one to the S-Bahnhof Blankenese. On the Elbe and in the stairs you can walk well."
"For the location it was great and the food service is good. For a family with young children it may not be ideal because there was quite a lot of older families and it seemed like having young children around was annoying to the others. The staff were amazing to us and the kids though!"
"Near the train station, convenient transportation, good service, two brothers run the hotel.
The surrounding environment is very good, quiet and comfortable, the lotus pond with green duck is 100 meters away, and enjoy the weekend afternoon leisurely in the ice cream shop next to it."
"The hotel is very close to the harbor, which is quite good in the local area. The free underground parking is great, and the breakfast is also very rich. I will choose this hotel again on my next business trip."
"What is commendable is that when other hotels generally lowered their quality due to the epidemic, they insisted on their taste. The quality of breakfast was as good as the peak period, or even better. It was the strength and the concept, and it wanted to become a thousand-year-old restaurant."

Great
AAnonymous UserMy stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable.
The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center.
It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.
GGuest UserI had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, very clean, and overall feels well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I especially liked that coffee and drinks are available anytime, which is a really nice touch. The breakfast was also great, and the pancake machine was such a cute and fun addition. I would also like to give a special thank you to Adrian at the front desk (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He was absolutely fantastic, very kind, professional, and genuinely caring. He communicated clearly and handled everything very well. I even noticed he was training other colleagues, and it was obvious that he understands the business and customer service extremely well. He really made a positive difference during my stay.
There was unfortunately one issue with housekeeping during my stay. I had stayed one day, liked it so much stayed 4 more days. On my first day, on several occasions a cleaner entered or attempted to enter my room early in the morning even though check-out was at 12:00. On my first day they knocked at 11am/12/12.30 and actually came in at 12pm, although I had paid for late check out (which by the way is an amazing option to have), while I was still naked in bed. One cleaner in particular — an older woman with short burgundy/brown hair — was quite abrupt. She repeatedly gestured for me to leave quickly. At one point she pointed at her wrist as if indicating a watch and used hand gestures to signal that I should hurry and leave, even though I still had time before check-out. It felt quite uncomfortable, especially as housekeeping knocked once and then opened the door quickly on a couple of occasions. On my last day, someone actually came in at 10AM in the morning. I just do not understand. I know it is a big hotel, I know they have to get a lot of rooms done in a short amount of time. I just do not understand the aggression of demanding a guest to leave so they can clean.
Thankfully, Adrian at the front desk was extremely helpful when I explained the situation. He took my concern seriously and helped communicate with the housekeeping team so it wouldn’t continue. Adrian really saved my stay!
AAnonymous UserGreat stay — second time and still amazing
I had another wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg — this was actually my second time here. The first time I stayed with my mother, and this time with my fiancée, and both experiences have been consistently great.
The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and extremely polite, which really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything about the hotel feels lovely and well taken care of.
The gym is nice and well-equipped, perfect if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Breakfast is amazing — plenty of options and everything fresh and tasty, definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
The location is also fantastic. It’s close to public transport (there’s a tram stop nearby), making it easy to get around the city. There’s also a great falafel/döner spot close by if you’re looking for a late-night snack, which was a fun bonus. Plus, it’s very close to Westfield, where you can enjoy the scenery and find lots of nice restaurants and shops.
Overall, an amazing stay once again. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll definitely be back.
GGuest UserAfter a slight initial confusion during check-in – I'd never booked through a system like this before – I was genuinely thrilled with the quality of the rooms! Super comfortable beds, a fantastic accessible bathroom, and modern room design. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely become regular guests at Sleep Hotels and recommend them to others!
GGuest UserA great hotel for a few days. The staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. Most of the fresh fruit salad convinced me. The flat is quite narrow, and the fact that you come into the parking house only after check-in was not directly visible. But in all, it is absolutely recommended to continue
AAnonymous UserTo the gentlemen reading this, you don't have much choice, but to any ladies out there—I strongly, strongly recommend booking a female-only room. I cannot stress this enough: please choose a female-only room.
Overall, the hostel itself is fantastic. The facilities are decent, the location is unbeatable, and you really can't beat the price. The staff members were super friendly, and the place felt clean. Although this was my first hostel in Germany, I’ve stayed at many hostels around the world, and value-for-money wise, this place is top-notch.
The only issue comes down to some of the other guests. When I checked into my first room, I was hit with a terrible odor as soon as I opened the door, and someone was snoring loudly. I asked to switch rooms right away, and the staff were kind enough to accommodate me. Unfortunately, even in the second room, there was another guest with severe body odor who snored heavily all day long. Because of this, I couldn't relax or get a good night's sleep.
I really don't want it to sound offensive to someone..but my overall experience dropped significantly just because of this single reason.
Maybe I was just unlucky, but those guests seemed to be long-term residents.
So again, ladies, even if it costs a bit more, please do yourself a favor and book a female-only room.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right outside the train station, and the street in front is wide, clean, and safe. Both the hotel's service and cleanliness are superb! They clean the room thoroughly every day. Getting such a great hotel for this price was a fantastic experience in Hamburg!
SSHAHIR91Very near to central train station (walkable), check in from 15:00 but you can store your luggage in the meantime, ask the key from reception and go tour the city. Guest can cook, have kitchen with utensils. Every room have 3 bunk beds , have personal toilet in room with shower and hair dryer. Overall it was excellent stay for budget traveller
BbceeeeeeewThe location is on the Reeperbahn which is very convenient. It is in walking distance to the subways and there are plenty of things to see and do in the area.
The room we were in had a window facing a strip club and there is absolutely no sound proofing. Though they do provide earplugs, it does very little to relive you of the deep base shaking your bed.
We had noisy neighbours.
There was no plug in the sink so if your fiend is asleep and you try wash your face the loud drain sounds will wake them up. Overall, it was alright but I won't go here again.
