"Excellent hotel with a phenomenal breakfast which contains all possible including Vegan cut. The room is also equipped with some free benefits such as water cookers, teas, water, chips,...
Just recommend around!"
"Super convenient, whether you're heading to the airport or the city center, it's just a three-minute walk to the S-Bahn. Amazingly, there are three decent-sized supermarkets within 100 meters. For food, Arabian BBQ is the main option (and it's delicious), but there's also an Asian buffet nearby that's around €20 for lunch and €30 for dinner. If you're into fitness, TRU Fitness is close by, and a day pass is only €10, which is a great deal. The hotel doesn't have a water dispenser, and you only get one large complimentary bottle of water, but the front desk said the tap water is drinkable. Conclusion: I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hamburg."
"Stayed for five nights, excellent value for money. As a family of three, we were given a triple room, and our child was thrilled to have a separate small bed. Breakfasts were quite rich every morning. When booking through Trip.com, the front desk confirmed that the city tax was already included, so we didn't have to pay any extra fees. The room was cleaned daily, and we had a kettle. Towels were also promptly replaced. Plus, we were given a room with an amazing view, overlooking the Elbphilharmonie and the Ferris wheel! The location is very convenient, with the S-Bahn station situated perfectly between my husband's office and the city center. The park downstairs is fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit!"
"Everything was good, as expected from all B&B Hotels. It would have been perfect if Trip.com hadn't been involved as the booking platform. Next time, I'll book directly with B&B."
"Hi, despite Benny's best efforts in Berlin, I was NOT able to complete the stupid check-in procedure with my cell phone. Only a nice man from the restaurant helped me with his mobile phone, which took about 1 hour. Turns out I was using the Mi browser and not Chrome!!!! In addition, I had no internet on the way and only got the check-in data from Benny. So much too late!!!!
This impersonal, anonymous check-in procedure is just annoying, not customer-friendly and time-consuming!!!
I will only book another hotel with a human at the reception!!
What would have happened if I hadn't got human help??? Was I then allowed to sleep in the foyer?
Otherwise the room was okay. Only no drinks etc. were refilled."
"The location is super, I think! There are good connections to the metro and railway the bus stop is around the corner. Buss drive every 20 min.
The hotel is good for the price.
The staff at reception is very friendly.
The room was clean only holding on the window bank is dust, therefore only 4 points for cleanness.
We can't write anything about breakfast. We didn't have.
Otherwise we are very satisfied with the hotel. So, for such a price top!"
"Die Ausstattung und der Comfort hat mir sehr gut gefallen, genau wie der Service. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet und hat meiner Meinung nach alle Wünsche erfüllt.
Vielen Dank noch einmal."
"We were there for the fourth time. And the last time. The service has deteriorated with each stay. Just like the breakfast. Unfortunately, the hotel has become more expensive.
The rooms are still very clean and modern.
You have to expect noise from the subway and S-Bahn at night. We always accepted that because the service and breakfast used to be so great.
Not anymore.
At reception I had the feeling I was disturbing them. And they offer that if you don't have your towels changed you should get a surprise. We are still waiting for the surprise......"
"As a young female who travels solo, I felt very safe staying here. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location is great. Easy access to the S and U bahn (approx a 10 min walk) which will take you into the city centre. The room was clean and spacious. Beds were also really comfortable.
I will recommend this to my friends/family when they visit Hamburg."

Great
GGuest UserI had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, very clean, and overall feels well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I especially liked that coffee and drinks are available anytime, which is a really nice touch. The breakfast was also great, and the pancake machine was such a cute and fun addition. I would also like to give a special thank you to Adrian at the front desk (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He was absolutely fantastic, very kind, professional, and genuinely caring. He communicated clearly and handled everything very well. I even noticed he was training other colleagues, and it was obvious that he understands the business and customer service extremely well. He really made a positive difference during my stay.
There was unfortunately one issue with housekeeping during my stay. I had stayed one day, liked it so much stayed 4 more days. On my first day, on several occasions a cleaner entered or attempted to enter my room early in the morning even though check-out was at 12:00. On my first day they knocked at 11am/12/12.30 and actually came in at 12pm, although I had paid for late check out (which by the way is an amazing option to have), while I was still naked in bed. One cleaner in particular — an older woman with short burgundy/brown hair — was quite abrupt. She repeatedly gestured for me to leave quickly. At one point she pointed at her wrist as if indicating a watch and used hand gestures to signal that I should hurry and leave, even though I still had time before check-out. It felt quite uncomfortable, especially as housekeeping knocked once and then opened the door quickly on a couple of occasions. On my last day, someone actually came in at 10AM in the morning. I just do not understand. I know it is a big hotel, I know they have to get a lot of rooms done in a short amount of time. I just do not understand the aggression of demanding a guest to leave so they can clean.
Thankfully, Adrian at the front desk was extremely helpful when I explained the situation. He took my concern seriously and helped communicate with the housekeeping team so it wouldn’t continue. Adrian really saved my stay!
AAnonymous UserGreat stay — second time and still amazing
I had another wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg — this was actually my second time here. The first time I stayed with my mother, and this time with my fiancée, and both experiences have been consistently great.
The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and extremely polite, which really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything about the hotel feels lovely and well taken care of.
The gym is nice and well-equipped, perfect if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Breakfast is amazing — plenty of options and everything fresh and tasty, definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
The location is also fantastic. It’s close to public transport (there’s a tram stop nearby), making it easy to get around the city. There’s also a great falafel/döner spot close by if you’re looking for a late-night snack, which was a fun bonus. Plus, it’s very close to Westfield, where you can enjoy the scenery and find lots of nice restaurants and shops.
Overall, an amazing stay once again. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll definitely be back.
IItdoesntmatterwhofirst of all, the man at the reception did not check that we had already paid for the room. He presented a bill that needs to be paid now. I said several times that we have already paid for the number and showed a copy of the bill. He denied it, but he did a better search and found that we are already paid. He just said it was the software's fault, not his. I have been flying to Hamburg for almost 3 years and staying for a few days and booking a hotel. I have never had such a misunderstanding in other districts of Hamburg. Upon entering the room, everything was clean, but the bedding had an unpleasant smell..
SSweetzhulinghunThis hotel is located near the train station and is relatively inexpensive. It's very convenient for transportation and there are many restaurants nearby. However, being close to the station, there seemed to be a lot of homeless people around. The hotel itself felt very secure though, as the doors were always kept closed.
AAnonymous Userood location near to Hamburg main station. Check in was slow as there was only one old senior lady at the counter who kept talking to the guests in front of me and told me 5 times “just a moment…” The she left at 3pm and change shift to a young man who was much more efficient and friendly. My room was dark and smell funny but the bathroom is clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was same every day. Restaurant staffs are nice. Would recommend only if you need to be near the train station.
GGuest UserThe hoste provides the bare minimum in terms of amenities and cleanliness. While it is functional enough for a short stay, the overall quality feels very much in line with the low price. Facilities are basic, and the atmosphere is not particularly comfortable or welcoming. It’s not a terrible place to stay, but it’s also not somewhere I would confidently recommend to others unless they are simply looking for the cheapest option and have very low expectations.
GGuest UserWell.. Do you really feel comfortable?
Yes, the building (a&o Hamburg Reeperbahn, formerly Hotel Stern, address Reeperbahn 152/154) actually has a connection to the Nazi era - it was not a direct concentration camp or large concentration camp, but it was used as a forced labour camp in 1940.
The exact connection (based on historical sources):
• The house was built in 1891 as a Logierhaus Concordia - a cheap lodging house for poor men (e.g. Sailors, travellers without a permanent residence). It had 235 small single rooms, shared toilets and was typical for the rough harbour and red light district of St. Pauli.
• In the Nazi era (especially from the 1930s), the house was often used by the porters (caretakers) to denounce (advertise) guests. Many men (e.g. B. homosexuals, ***********, ”asocials”) were arrested there and imprisoned - this was unfortunately common in Hamburg's ”Kiez”.
• From August 1940: There was a forced labour camp of Deutsche Werft AG (a large Hamburg shipyard). The company used the existing building as accommodation for forced labourers - prisoners of war (POWs), civilians deported from occupied countries and from 1944 also prisoners from concentration camps (concentration camp subcamps). The shipyard had several such camps (mainly in Finkenwerder and harbour area), and this one in the Reeperbahn was one of them. Exact numbers (how many people, conditions) are not well documented, but it was part of the huge system of forced labour in Hamburg (a total of 400,000–500,000 people affected).
• A Stolperstein biography mentions e.g. B. that a French woman had to perform forced labour in 1944 as a kitchen assistant in the Reeperbahn 154 Foreign Home (during pregnancy) before she came to another camp.
After the war it became a normal tourist home again, converted into an Eros Centre (a large *******) in 1964, later refugee accommodation (in the 80s very dilapidated), then from 1999 Hotel Stern and 2009 a&o.
Well. We had a real good sleep anyway.
The Bath Room is so warm and
the elevator was real… you will see….
Danke ;)
