Hotels near Happy Door, Weihai

The hotel is quite new and in a great location. The rooms are spacious, and the service is excellent – very attentive and patient. When I mentioned there was some noise late at night, they resolved it quickly. It offers great value for money and is very close to the Happy Gate scenic area by the sea. Based on all these positives, I decided to extend my stay. However, today I received a strange double charge: one for the original booked rate of 299 yuan per night, and then another successful charge for 335 yuan for the room. That's a bit confusing.

Facilities: The room was quite spacious, with plenty of walking room even after unpacking our luggage. There was also a desk for bags and other items. The bedding was comfortable, and the shower, toilet, and sink were all very clean. The water temperature was stable and the pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. There was also a water purifier for direct access to drinking water. The TV in the room was large and capable of screen mirroring. The long hanging area with numerous hangers was very convenient. On the ground floor, the hotel provided hot water, tea, and coffee, and there was even a small robot delivery service for meals. This is a very well-equipped hotel. The breakfast was incredibly abundant, with main dishes, drinks, milk, cereal, soy milk, bread, cakes, and fruit… We were particularly surprised by the sea cucumber and rice. Cleanliness: Very clean, with housekeeping tidying up daily. Environment: Excellent. We had a great view of Huancui Tower and other mountains from our window. The lobby and corridors were spacious and bright, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant was elegantly and modernly decorated, and the dining tables were large, so we never felt cramped. Service: Truly exceptional. Even before entering, a staff member helped with our luggage. After checking in, another staff member personally escorted us to our room and helped with our bags. Inside the room, there was a handwritten note and snacks awaiting us. The next day, after returning from our activities, we found another new note and snacks. Upon checkout, we received a refrigerator magnet as a souvenir. During our stay in Weihai, it was a bit chilly with wind and rain, and the room was cold. Since the hotel uses central air conditioning and couldn't provide heating at that time, we contacted them and they immediately brought a space heater, which warmed up the room quickly. The hotel's location is convenient for getting anywhere; there's a Hema (supermarket) opposite, a McDonald's downstairs, and the Weigao Plaza bus stop right outside. A truly wonderful stay!

The location was good and there is a little gem of a restaurant just beside it where we got breakfast every day. We did try the hotel restaurant once but they said they didn’t serve food, which seems a bit pointless for a restaurant… the price was also fairly good, and the cleaner was always diligent making sure we had fresh bottles of water each day and clean towels  On the downside, it’s quite dirty. Tiled areas are fine but it seems they don’t have a vacuum. The rooms and hotel in general is a bit smelly. One of the lifts seemed to be constantly broken. There appeared to be only one staff member, the manager, who had a clue what she was doing (we weren’t checked in properly and our room keys kept resetting unless it was done by this one particular manager). Other than that, it’s ok for the price.

Highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Weihai Weigao! The front desk staff, M and J, provided outstanding service. They were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic throughout, checking us in efficiently and smoothly, and even thoughtfully offered warm cookies. The hotel facilities are top-notch; the lobby is elegant and grand, and the rooms are spacious, bright, and equipped with smart devices. The bathroom with a separate wet and dry area is comfortable, and high-floor rooms offer stunning sea views. The gym and breakfast area are well-appointed, and the location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. With professional and attentive service, and high-quality facilities, the experience was absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Weihai!

The facilities are complete, the environment is clean, and the overall feel of the hotel is very good. It's close to Weihai Gate and Liugong Island Pier, and the night market is also within walking distance. The service was warm and thoughtful, and our room was arranged in a quiet spot, so we rested well. The only minor downside is that the soundproofing isn't great. Free parking is convenient, making it very friendly for those traveling by car. The hygiene was also very good. Breakfast was also decent, with a good variety and tasty options.

Traveling during the Qingming Festival, I didn't have high hopes, expecting an old and outdated hotel. To my surprise, it was very new! The front desk service was excellent. They gave little gifts to the children upon check-in and also at check-out. They even upgraded us to a family-friendly room for free, which was fantastic! The room had a small tent and ocean-themed plush toys, which my child absolutely loved. We also had the hotpot buffet dinner at the hotel, and it was great! It was only a little over 100 yuan per person, which was really good value. The breakfast was also very rich and varied. Right downstairs from the lobby, there's a mini garden with a water feature. Just a short walk further, you'll find coastal parks like the Weihai Big Photo Frame. In the evenings, there were many stalls selling food, souvenirs, etc., and the prices weren't expensive. The lobby also has very friendly koi fish, a building block table, and many seating areas. It was a pleasant stay overall. It would be even more perfect if the lobby had a children's slide and ball pit!

I had originally planned to book the 'Mou Duo' hotel, but seeing their prices jump from the usual 300+ to 800+ during the Spring Festival, I decisively gave up and chose this hotel instead (also, seeing very few negative online reviews for Ibis further solidified my decision). It turns out my choice was excellent. The bathroom, sink, and shower are well-designed and logically separated. The parking lot is easy to access. The breakfast was also good. When checking out, the young man at the front desk even offered us two bottles of mineral water, which was incredibly touching! We were already leaving, yet he still went above and beyond like that... All in all, we are deeply satisfied with the Ibis hotel. (Apologies, I didn't take any photos)

The location is excellent, it is very convenient to travel and go shopping, the room is spacious and clean, the wet and dry separation design is reasonable, the toiletries are complete, the sound insulation effect is good, and the rest at night is particularly quiet and stable.

Facilities: The room is fully equipped, with smart curtains and two TVs, which is very child-friendly for families traveling with kids. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: The interior is elegant, and the surrounding area is convenient for getting around. Service: The front desk and hotel staff are warm and attentive, and we even received a free upgrade to a suite.
