"Everything is good the only things that I don’t really like is the noise I’m not sure where is coming from make me can’t sleep. Other than that it’s good is very clean I like it."
"Nice hotel, it’s my second stay, but the facilities are not quite as well maintained as I expected. Overall still a pleasant experience, though there’s room for improvement."
"I stayed at Amenida Residency Hotel for two days and had an excellent experience. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities for comfortable stay. The bedding and linens were fresh and well maintained, which added to the overall comfort.
The location is another major advantage, just 6 minutes from downtown, with a metro station conveniently located right behind the building, making travel around the city effortless.
Overall, it offers great value, comfort, and convenience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others."
"The location was really convenient, very close to Chinook Centre and other attractions. The room was clean and spacious. There is parking around the hotel, as well as underground parking (only accessible with your room card)."
"A good hotel considering the price and location. For a 3 star property, it meets the stated standard. Comfortable beds. Spacious lobby. Everything works."
"The room was pleasant and they placed me close to the elevator which was nice. The room was very clean. The TV remote would not turn the TV off or on but hey its a short walk to the TV. The Garden court restaurant was superb. I was there on a Sunday taking a class so the Sunday brunch was on. Lots to please the palette. One could have also ordered from the menu. Lots of plug-in places which was good as it was -40°C at the time. I would stay again."
"I was a bit nervous after reading some other reviews, but I need not have been. My room was spacious, the bed comfy and the pillows plentiful. My 11 year old grandson, who visited during my stay, gives the pool and waterside a huge thumbs up. His mother, sister and I enjoyed the hot tub while he splashed alone.
Breakfast was a bounty! Although I am limited by multiple food allergies, I found more than enough to eat and enjoyed my 2 breakfasts.
When I first arrived in my assigned room, I discovered a tool on the floor and a dismantled A/C unit. Before I had time to wonder, a repairman was at the door, apologetic that I had arrived before he could complete his maintenance. He immediately arranged for me to switch to a different room, and all was well.
Desk staff were all cordial, helpful, friendly. I have absolutely no complaints about my stay and highly recommend others to ignore naysayers and give it a try. I would be happy for a return visit if opportunity arises. Many thanks for a great stay."
"Very nice hotel. Room was very clean. Wi-FI is excellent!!! TV is more on a small size, but cable includes sports chancels! Beds comfortable enough. Lots of pillows. Keurig coffee maker is a blast. Breakfast excellent Everything you need for a comfortable stay. A little far from train, but you can use a bus. If you travel by car, there is no problem at all. Very convenient location very close to shopping mall."

AAnonymous UserI am a customer living in 407 on 9th of November in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary NW - University Area, an IHG Hotel.
. I am writing to complain the lady on the front desk. She treated me not respectful. When we checked in, I am asking if we have hot spring, she replied several what? And correct me “hot tub” such as I am lack of knowledge.
Later, I want to use Landry room and change dollars with them. They gave me several two dollars, and the washing machines only accept 1 dollars, which they should have known at first place. So I went back to the front desk to ask for 1 dollars again. And at that time. There is one guy lining in front of another front desk server. And the lady was answering the phone. So I naturally stood in front of her desk and waited for her. And I asked her to change 1 dollars for me since they didn’t know. And then she asked me” don’t u notice there is a line? You should wait after it.” So I was so embarrassed to find out I cut in line.
So if she is really mindful about me cutting in line, Why not telling me to wait after? Or just remind me in a more respectful way assuming I really don’t know there is a line? Either way will have same effect and I would be acknowledged in a not embarrassing way. And again, the washing machine only accept 1 dollar and they did not know, is their job dereliction.
I am very concerned how your service match up with your high level of fees.
AAnonymous UserThe receptionist was very cheerful and the room was very clean! It is also located conveniently in Downtown Calgary. However, the temperature of the shower can be a bit tricky to adjust as it will either be too hot or too cold. But I was very satisfied overall and would recommend this hotel to fellow solo travellers!
GGuest UserNot our first time staying here -but we left with a sense of frustration today!
It began when the front desk couldn’t find our reservation - twice ! (despite a phone call 2 hours prior to check in). Had to take my driver’s licence and go “somewhere to talk to someone in the back” - then he came back (after 2 or so
minutes) and “magically” the reservation had been found. Unnerving for my identification to disappear from my sight. No explanation offered.
Frustrated again at check out when the desk clerk tried to charge us for something from the snack bar in our room - we had literally left our room 2 minutes before. Couldn’t tell us what item we had “consumed” (we hadn’t consumed anything - especially at those prices!) and then when asked how they could possibly know within 2 minutes (of us leaving our room) that an item had been consumed - they became very defensive and couldn’t actually answer the question of “how do you know what to charge us for” and the response was “it’s for the report at the end of the day - no one is saying you actually took anything”. Except that’s exactly what the desk clerk said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”.
After challenging the charge we were told that no charge would be put through on the credit card.
Made to feel like we had “stolen” something when we asked for further clarification on the charge.
“No apologies or thank you for staying with us”.
Disappointing.
Side note - Service in the casino was great - including the restaurant.
JJazTPerfect stay, clean huge room, comfy huge king bed, friendly frontdesk ladies for check in and out, toiletries from crabtree & evelyn smell really good, towels, full length mirror, safety box, coffee machine etc all in. Free cookies on check in and it’s so yummy and timely. Responsive reply to email, held the room for us for super late check-in. Free parking, within 15 min drive to Calgary airport. Offers shuttle at $5 as well. Second time staying and will always be our go-to when we fly! Trip.com offered the best price after coins off, great!
GGuest UserOverall it was a decent stay here. Pros:
-Clean room with comfortable beds
-Shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. -nice clean waterpark with helpful and friendly attendant who did not rush us at the end of the night when our young kiddo was dragging his feet to avoid having to leave - heated pools and 2 water slides made the hotel more appealing for us with having our kids along Cons: - the waterpark slides did not have enough of an angle so we couldn’t get down the slides with out having to propel ourselves at times which was odd but also nearly comical
-tiny rooms especially for the price. It felt a bit cramped with the limited furniture and the kids on pull out sofa. - the bathroom door provided zero privacy from the rest of the room with no sound barrier, plus it had a “frosted” glass panel as the main part of the door so it was completely see through, and was a tiny bathroom. - no in room microwave so we missed out on being able to heat up leftover takeout from our trip to help us keep costs down and reduce waste unless my husband went hunting for one to use on the main floor, but that was quite a hike when we are on 4th floor so food was cooled right down by the time it made it back to our room. - ordering from the menu at the onsite breakfast restaurant was expensive and the food was quite disappointing. My kids seemed to enjoy the breakfast buffet at least which was free for 5 & under at least.
HHuhu01Stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary Airport (IHG). The location is very convenient for the airport and surrounding routes, and the overall cleanliness of the property was excellent—both the rooms and common areas were well maintained.
Amenities are fairly basic, so travellers expecting extensive facilities may find them somewhat limited. Unfortunately, the service was on the poorer end of the spectrum during my stay.
One point future guests should be aware of: the booking information on the hotel’s website states that a deposit is required, but it does not clearly specify that this must be provided strictly via credit card. Staff indicated that this policy is standard at hotels worldwide; however, as an experienced traveller, I can confirm that many hotels do in fact accept debit cards for deposits.
To avoid any issues at check-in, make sure you bring a credit card with you.
Overall: great location and cleanliness, basic amenities, but service and clarity around deposit policies could certainly be improved.
GGuest UserThis motel is not Econo Lodge in & suites university. Which we stayed also, and was much better than this one (econo lodge motel village).
The room was small and the bathroom smelled unpleasant. The smell came from the shower curtain, which touches the bath tub water. When taking a shower, the water doesn't drain as fast so your feet end up soaking in that water along with the smelly fabric shower curtain. Also, the bath was weirdly higher than the ground so be very careful when getting in. During our stay, there were several bugs that found their way into our room during the night (Mosquitos, flies). The buzzing sound prevented us to sleep so we had to kill the bugs and go back to sleep each time. We also had problems with our room key, we had them replaced several times and you have to slide the card quite a few times before it unlocks. I think it's loose and you need to get the exact right angle, which is annoying when you have your hands full. I recommend the other econolodge situated behind this one. The staffs here are very friendly. For breakfast, they offered coffee, tea but without lids. There's bread and juice served in a solocup (but u can just use the coffee cup). There were muffins. If you have allergies, I suggest you to bring your own food. The price for this motel vs the other econolodge were the same. We try to avoid staying at the same place for our whole trip in case we don't like our room but we ended regretting not booking the other econolodge for our entire trip.
NNiubotesimaxinThe room facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is good, the price is cheap, and parking is convenient. However, the front desk service was really subpar. I couldn't understand why, while the front desk was processing my check-in, a supervisor came over and started chatting with them about irrelevant things, leaving me standing there waiting for them to finish. The first room card didn't work, so I had to go back downstairs, queue up again to exchange it, and they kept asking me if I was using it correctly. Am I stupid? Do I not know how to open a door? Terrible service.
