"We stayed in a studio unit with a kitchen and living room. Dining ware and utensils are not included, but the hotel can provide them for a fee. This setup is great for travelers planning an extended stay and wanting to prepare their own meals. Unfortunately, there is no washer or dryer in the building, so you’ll need to find a nearby coin laundry. We chose this hotel for its location and convenience. The bus stop is within walking distance and takes you directly to Finch subway station. The included breakfast was also pretty decent."

"The building is good, the room clean, and the amenities more than adequate. But the location isn't very convenient if you only use public transportation and your own two feet. If you have a car, however, it's perfect."

"Everything was quiet and clean EXCEPT the bath and sink drains in the room were extremely slow. Standing in water above my ankles by the end of a shower. Things don't get this way overnight so I expect infrastructure maintenance isn't as timely as it should be."

"The hotel is a bit old, but it's well-maintained and the environment is very good. What was unexpected was the extremely unfriendly attitude of the front desk staff. At first, I thought they were unfriendly because my booking was from Trip.com (meaning I couldn't earn IHG member points), but after staying, I realized the front desk simply had poor service awareness. I came to Toronto for a game on the 20th. I arrived at the front desk at 2 PM, but the room wasn't ready, so I stored my luggage and checked in at 11 PM. The next day, I left at 10 AM and returned at 11 PM to find the room still hadn't been cleaned. I called the front desk to complain, and an Indian man gave a perfunctory response and then hung up on me, which infuriated me... I called the front desk again, and an Asian woman answered. She was still perfunctory but eventually agreed to send towels and drinking water to the room. Traveling all this way and paying a high price for such an experience has really soured my impression of Toronto as a city. IHG, goodbye."

"I didn't receive a check-in email until I contacted Trip.com Customer Service (as of 1 hour before check-in). They didn't reply to my email inquiry from 4 days ago. The Wi-Fi keeps cutting out. You basically have to give up on soundproofing. There are separate rooms, so you have to be discreet to find your way in at first. It's nice that they provide water. It is reasonably clean. It is cool even without air conditioning, but you should be careful on days that are too hot or too cool."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Monte Carlo. Everything was exceptional — the staff were friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. We also enjoyed the food and the excellent service throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back again."

"The facilities in this hotel are very old. I stayed in an executive suite. When I entered the hall, it was very dark. There were no ceiling lamps, mineral water, or toothbrushes or toothpaste. The air conditioner in the bedroom was on the floor and there was a sound when you turned it on. It made me hit the jet for breakfast. It's too shabby, except for bread and jam. The most important thing is that I booked online and paid for it. When I checked in, I was charged 200 Canadian dollars. I swiped my card. I stayed one night first to see if the environment was not good, so I changed places again. When I checked out, I asked about the deposit. The front desk told me that it would take one working day for the deposit to be refunded. I had to go back to my country and wait."
