"The lady who checked us in did not seem to know what she was doing and her supervisor seemed done with her incompetence. The room was fine - as expected. The hot tub area was a little strange, including that it is in the basement. The kids enjoyed free slushies and all enjoyed breakfast."
"The only reason cleanliness is rated a 3 is because our room had a smell to it (not bad, it could just be the cleaning products), other than that it was clean. It’s located on the outskirts of winnipeg which is lovely for driving out of town. The service was awesome, everyone from workers to people staying was friendly, it is a very welcome and warm environment. We ended up with a top floor room and was able to move onto the ‘motel’ style rooms, which was very appreciated. The breakfast that comes with the hotel really exceeded our expectations, REAL eggs, the crispiest best hash browns, and the toast was bacon was good too. They had an interesting cinnamon bun french toast that i’d definitely try next time. They have a pantry/ little convenience store in the lobby, and I’d say the prices are reasonable, definitely would expect them to be more. On the downside the beds are on the stiffer side, but the pillows are of good quality. this wouldn’t be my first choice to come back to in winnipeg but for the price and good meal included, it’s top #5."
"Good service, clean rooms, as expected. The 24 hour coffee machine is nice. Hot tub and pool area were clean and a nice space to hang out after a long day of driving. Cost was good for the night; ended up being stuck in town for another day due to a blizzard and the price jumped significantly online for our second night - spoke to the front desk and they were kind enough to offer us a 25% discount. Not a fancy place, but we always like to stay here when traveling through with our dogs."
"There is no way to compare with domestic hotels. It can be said that it is a bit historical, the location is OK. A little distance from the airport, there is 711 next to it, and the supermarket is very convenient. Downstairs is a hotel."
"The room was clean, the space was not small, the environment was quiet, and the front desk was Chinese. The hotel also has a bar for recreation, and there is free breakfast. The price is quite high in the motel. The only problem is that there is no switch in the central air-conditioned room, and the twin room is a bit straight by the bed outside. So I didn't sleep well. I hope the store will pay attention to this problem."
"Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay-cation at the Holiday Inn - Airport West! Welcoming and friendly service, spacious and spotless room, silky sheets on the king bed, and excellent amenities in the room. Despite the pandemic, we were able to use the pool - an efficient and fair sign-up process gave us 1 hour/day (could have been more). The continental breakfast was not included, but the location is excellent and we could easily walk across the street for sushi & bubble tea, pizza, steak, and more! Also a Shoppers Drug Mart and Liquor Mart right across the street. And, if you want some exercise, this hotel is a close jaunt to the beautiful Assiniboine Park & Zoo!"
"Nice room, great location, very comfy bed! The room we were initially given had a strong smell...it was a pet friendly room, so possibly dog pee. We told the front desk of the issue, and we were immediately given a new room which was great. Very convenient for my husband to walk over to the airport for his early morning flight. We also had dinner at the hotel next door, which is connected by a tunnel...great dinner and we didnt even have to walk out in the rain 😊"
"It was such a seamless experience for a short-term feeling home like stay. Val is such a gentle lady and really care for you as a special family member. You can find a home-made small piece of chocolate on your bed, enjoy the warmth of a cozy outdoor hot tub. See the photo.
Feel like home is what they are trying hard every day to make you that footprint in every details that you will see in this rental property. I named it a value-for-every-penny experience that was hardly to hard from anywhere in the world, but a place to feel like home managed by 2 generous & warm-hearted women.
I don’t want to write too much because probably I could not book them next time. LOL"

Amazing
GGuest UserLocation is good. It's central to Winnipeg downtown and within walking distance to many attractions. Room was fine but our requests were not fulfilled. We asked for a quiet room away from the lift but our room was right by the lift and the room next door had a dog. Housekeeping was every other day, and some amenities were low on day 1 such as tissue paper and towels. We had to go to the front desk to request extra supplies. Breakfast was good. The hot water dispenser had a coffee aftertaste which did not mix well with my tea. Additional fruit options would have been nice, only apples and limited bananas. Overall, the stay was fine.
Ssome3750Stayed in Winnipeg most satisfied for one night. The room was very clean, the bathroom was bright and atmospheric ~ walking distance from the airport ~ was very good.
LLocaltraveller204The reason I gave lower score on service was that I booked this room specifically because it was
“1 King POOLSIDE ROOM - DIRECT POOL ACCESS”
And I got there late, like minutes before 11PM but booked room around 7PM. The man at front desk was kind and quick and gave me my cards for suite saying 3rd floor. When I got into suite I gave my son a bath and then went to look out window and saw the parking lot. I was like ***. So I called front desk and lady answered and I was like *** and explained it and she apologized and said that the suite I was supposed to get had plumbing issues so they ‘upgraded’ my suite instead. Saying it’s the executive suite which is much bigger (online cost
$5-$10 more than one with poolside/pool access). I asked if it was really an upgrade if it didn’t have access to pool? Again she apologized, and I said well I think I should have been called or emailed stating that after booking and given the option to have a refund or choice of ‘upgrade’, or at the least those offers when I came to front desk! Not go to suite without telling me and me getting settled bathing my son before noticing ***. Was not impressed by that at all as I would’ve asked for refund instead since I booked it for that specific purpose, direct pool access.
Aside from that upset the suite was incredibly nice, could’ve used a box of Kleenex for each room, but everything was clean and they let me do a 12pm check out (not free obviously). Breakfast was included and it was buffet/continental that was so much better than expected and really great with many many options. All the staff were nice and friendly.
Aside from not being told about my suite being unavailable and not given option for upgrade or refund both at time of booking AND at front desk when checking in, I would’ve given 5star rating. The location would be ideal if I was travelling to Winnipeg given how close it is to airport, but I live here so it not being closer to home is not ideal, which any hotel around the airport would’ve rated that the same.
Photos of room I should’ve got though layout was the same, but the view was not.
TTkyuLocation is okay. The hotel is connected to another hotel so you need to walk from one hotel to another one if you need to park. The corridor has cigarette smell. The room is spacious like a standard hotel . Washroom is okay but there were stain in the bath tub which I make me hesitant to use it. Overall it is okay for a short connecting flight stay. Have not
GGuest UserThe room was clean, there was breakfast, there was a Chinese staff, but there was nothing near the hotel, except for breakfast, there was a Subway outside and a restaurant in another hotel, overall it was great! The decoration is quite new.
DDaniel RxBooked using trip.com app. Third stay at this location. Great location. Good parking. Efficient check-in. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Shower had great power and wall mounted shampoos and washes were a nice touch. Buffet breakfast including various fruit, hot and cold cereals, yogurts, bacon, turkey sausage (and more) was tasty. Service at breakfast by several young ladies was friendly and attentive. We loved speaking to Ruby who is a wonderful ambassador of hospitality for the Inn. Check out was fast and easy. Thank you to all! Will be back soon!
GGuest UserThe reception was really nice and explained things clearly. The room was comfortably big with comfortable beds. The bathroom is awesome and clean and the tv is huge. The location being near the highway is great
GGuest UserOur bedroom seemed like it was cleaned until we spent time in the room during the evening.
Our bed sheets were dirty, and the jets in the jacuzzi had weird foam in them.
When we called the desk, they quickly came with clean bedding. The following day, they cleaned our room perfectly without us asking.
The lady who checked us in went above and beyond her job. She was accommodating, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We even got an amazing deal on the show because we were staying at the hotel. She definitely made up for the gross room we walked into.
MManjinder toorVery clean and comfortable room with all mod cons - more spacious than most in this central location in a capital city and the price was very reasonable for all on offer. Excellent wi-fi, nice toiletries, great choice at breakfast. The staff were very helpful, organising our taxi and allowing us to stay in the room after check out time so we could freshen up before we left for the airport.
The only issue we had about the stay was the noise from the street. The hotel is in an area near some fast food restaurants and bars. The first night of the stay we were awoken by someone blasting out music in the very early hours of the morning. The following morning the bin men woke us at 5am. Nothing the hotel can do about this but if you are considering this hotel and won't be out partying till the early hours yourself maybe ask for a room on a high floor facing away from the street.
