"Service: I'm about to give the worst service review. On my first stay, your hotel's front desk had a Caucasian female employee who initially gave me half of a family suite. Only after I emphasized the room type I booked did she change it for me. The hotel wasn't so fully booked that she couldn't have assigned me the room I pre-booked. Why would you try to pass off a partitioned room as a full one, treating customers like fools? I was extremely angry about this. And it wasn't just the room assignment; the room card she gave me was just a plain power card. Couldn't she provide a proper, decent room card? It's hard for me not to suspect some malicious intent. I hope you can give me a satisfactory explanation. Otherwise, my overall review of this hotel is very positive. The accommodation environment is good, the room facilities are sufficient, the location is great, and transportation is convenient. The room design is also beautiful, and I took many photos. I highly recommend staying here. If I come to Brussels again, I would indeed choose Cardo again. However, the subtle malice from your front desk and the unpleasant check-in experience disappointed me so much that it nearly ruined my entire stay, even though everything else was perfect."

"The hotel doesn't have its own parking, but there's a convenient underground parking garage right next door. The location is excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. There's a water dispenser in the hallway and a capsule coffee machine in the room. The room itself is spacious, but the cleaning wasn't quite up to par, as there were items left behind by the previous guest. The shower area in the bathroom becomes very slippery when wet, posing a fall risk, and the toilet door doesn't have a lock."

"The location was fantastic! There was an airport bus stop nearby, and we could walk to the train station to visit Bruges, Ghent, and Antwerp. The hotel has two buildings, #1 and #2. Building #1 seemed to be the original, but we stayed in #2, and it wasn't the best environment. The rooms were packed closely together, the hallway had an unpleasant smell, and it was noisy outside the window. There was no refrigerator, and it was a hassle having to ring a bell to get the hotel's glass door opened every time we wanted to enter or leave. However, for the price, it was comfortable and safe, so we're grateful for that!"

"A wonderful hotel right next to the Botanical Gardens. Quiet rooms. Sadly, however, the doors are quite thin and have a gap at the bottom, so you can hear everything that is happening outside of your room and also can hear everything that’s happening inside the rooms when you are in the hallway. Besides, the bathroom door is incredibly thin and the bathrooms are very echoey, so travelling not solo might introduce some awkwardness if you are one of the people with shy bladders. Other than that, everything was great. Clean, friendly, top service."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a 13-minute walk from the train station. It's right in the heart of Brussels, surrounded by lively and safe areas. While the lobby decor is a bit gaudy, the guest rooms, hallways, and atrium exude elegance. A special shout-out to the breakfast – it's top-notch for a European hotel!"

"This hotel definitely deserves a five-star review! First off, the decor is quite business-oriented, but it's not cold or sterile; it actually has a touch of artistic flair. The view from the room is also fantastic. Downstairs, there are plenty of convenient dining options, and getting to any downtown attraction is a breeze. The attention to detail in the room design is remarkable. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly, and breakfast doesn't feel rushed at all, even if you stay a little past the official time. My overall experience at this hotel was excellent. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Five stars!"

"Everything—facilities, cleanliness, ambiance, and service—was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Since there were three of us staying together, the hotel must have specially added an extra bed. They also provide breakfast; while not extensive, it was certainly sufficient. Overall, a very satisfying experience 😊"

"This hotel is really old... Don't let the five-star rating fool you, it feels more like a three-star. The elevator is incredibly slow, from 1999! The furniture in the room is also very dated. The front desk sells bottled water in glass bottles for 8 euros a pop – ridiculous. As our Belgian client told us, the hotel's location is right between a safe area and an unsafe one. It's close to the light rail, but there's no elevator from the light rail station to the street level, which is quite annoying. Walking to the city center is fairly convenient though. For the price, it offers good value for money; other hotels in the same area are more expensive."

"Cozy, clean, decent noise isolation (room window was facing the busy street), large bathroom. Slightly cramped because an extra bed was in the room, although I booked only for one person, but since I only stayed two nights, didn't mind too much. Somewhat disappointed by the breakfast options that didn't match the menu advertized, cooked foods only consisted of boiled/scrambled eggs and bacon. Didn't try the waffles that you can make yourself. No complimentary toothpaste was available when I asked at reception."

"So close but not so far from the old town or maybe the attractions which is good, if you’re staying inside around the grand palace, it may get noisy so this place is really in a good place so location is very strategic 😘 From the train station (Midi Station), 2 stops away and you can walk to the hotel easily 🫶🏻 This hotel is kinda old so it gives off the old vibes but you got what you need and breakfast is good 😄 everybody is so welcoming ~ if you’re in a budget and still want a good hotel to stay, here is the place 👍🏻 thank you 🫰🏻"
