Just stayed here again for the second time in a month. The staff’s kindness and convenience in location has made us come back and would want to come back again. The lady at the reception (Sorry i didn’t get your name) was so lovely and helpful. We were 10mins early and she had let us checkin and had tried to accommodate our requests. The room was actually way better than what we booked (did not expected the pull out bed but we’re so happy about it) but the bathroom was not cleaned that much. The sink drains so slow like it was a bit clogged and sometimes smelly. It was also dirty when we came in (sink). The circle thingy in the middle was broken too. We asked for our room the next day too and wasn’t cleaned that much. Breakfast is amazing and the staff there is very nice too.

It's quite a long walk from Southern Cross Station, and some of the paths are narrow, making it difficult to pull luggage. The front desk is on the second floor, and self-check-in is available. Since I arrived early and wanted to check in sooner, I paid an extra $25 per night to upgrade to a queen room with a desk. The deposit was $100. The room facilities were complete, though the shower head in the bathroom was fixed overhead and only allowed for direction adjustment. There were plenty of TV channels, including Phoenix TV for Chinese viewers. The staff on the ground floor were very friendly.

Great location only two or three minutes from Southern Cross Station. Staff lovely and welcoming. Room small but comfy as was the bed. Bath in the bathroom but no plug (none for the hand basin either) so what's the point? Grouting on tiles where the shower is needs scrubbing or replacing, not hygienic. No milk in the fridge but was available from reception - BUT had to be paid for (never in may years of travel had to pay for milk in a hotel). No Hotel directory either physical or on the TV so didn't know if breakfast was still a available in the ground floor cafe and WiFi details not provided (my device located it for me) So a bit of attention to detail is needed to make this a very nice experience because it is a good hotel and easy to get to.

Room was clean and comfortable. Pleased that our room and bed sizes got upgraded as there was one available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great and very close to the station, restaurants and shopping mall.
Little gym has the essentials for fitness which I was able to make use of. Only complaint was the buffet breakfast - very average if not poor quality. Fruit salad didn’t look fresh, hash browns looked over cooked and dry. Most food seemed as it had simply been taken out of packets or the fridge and served straight away, with no preparation behind it.
However for what was paid, we did get our money’s worth.

Location: Just a few hundred meters from Southern Cross, with convenient stores, restaurants, and tram stops nearby. Transportation is very accessible.
Room: Spacious, clean, and comfortable.
Service: Below even the most basic guesthouses. Some of their policies are unbelievable for a hotel apartment in 2026. They seem dedicated to turning essential services into paid items. Unless you have no other choice, I don't recommend it. 1. The front desk isn't 24-hour. Don't book here if you arrive after 8 PM local time, as there's an extra service charge. 2. If you forget your key and need someone to let you into the apartment, there's an extra service charge. 3. If everything goes smoothly during check-in, you're a customer. If there's a problem, they act like they're royalty. A normal response would be to help solve the issue, but they seemed annoyed that it was delaying their shift, and their attitude was terrible.
Amenities: Kitchenware, refrigerator, washing machine – everything you need. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers.

The location is fantastic, right next to Central Station, and all major shopping malls are within walking distance. The room facing the road was a bit noisy, but the other one was fine. The kitchen is well-equipped with basic necessities; we brought our own seasonings. There's also a laundry room, but I couldn't find any detergent, so I popped down to the Chinese supermarket downstairs to buy some laundry pods, which was convenient. Great value for money!

We stayed here for two nights and three days. The main advantage of this location is its proximity to Queen Victoria Market. Unfortunately, we visited around Easter, and the market was only open on the Saturday in between. Luckily, we made it on that day; otherwise, staying here would have felt a bit pointless.
Regarding the room:
1. Space and amenities
(a) We booked a triple room with two beds (one double, one single).
(b) The overall flow of the room felt a bit cramped, with a table, luggage rack, and wardrobe.
(c) The fridge provided a complimentary bottle of milk daily, seemingly for coffee. You could request more if needed.
2. Bathroom facilities
The bathroom was fairly standard, nothing particularly special. However, it did have a shower screen for wet/dry separation, which kept the bathroom fresh.
3. Downsides
The single bed wasn't properly fixed; any movement or sitting on it would cause the entire bed to shift.
Overall, the location is still great. On this trip, I booked three hotels in different parts of the Free Tram Zone. In this area (the northern part), you can find many Asian restaurants and supermarkets, as well as the market.
Due to heavy rain during our stay, we didn't venture further north to Melbourne University. Near there, you'll find the Old Melbourne Gaol and Lygon Street (Little Italy), which has many Italian restaurants that I’d highly recommend.
Regarding hotel service:
While the hotel offered a buffet, we didn't purchase it and opted to eat out. A minor regret is that the service here was just average. As it's an Ibis, part of a large hotel group, the prices are relatively affordable, and they handle a high volume of guests daily. Consequently, the staff's attitude felt rather indifferent during check-in or when storing our luggage.
That pretty much sums it up; I'll leave the rest for others to experience.

An absolutely terrible experience, the service is practically non-existent. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
At 8 AM, I discovered the hairdryer in my room was broken. With wet hair, I couldn't leave. I immediately called the front desk, and they said they'd ”arrange for a new one to be sent right away.” After waiting 20 minutes with no one showing up, I called again at 8:20 AM. The front desk once more said they'd ”follow up.” By 8:30 AM, on my third call, it was still just ”Okay, okay.” I couldn't wait any longer and had to go down to the front desk with my hair still soaking wet.
Upon arriving at the front desk, it seemed like only one person was working in the entire hotel. This staff member was simultaneously checking out guests and rushing to the storage room to find a hairdryer for me. Throughout the entire process, there was no one to assist, no one to coordinate, and no one offered an apology. That whole morning, apart from the front desk being this 'isolated island,' I felt no presence from any other department.
It wasn't until 9 AM that I finally got a hairdryer. This wasted a whole hour of my time, just waiting around, when I could have left much earlier.
During my four-day stay, the only staff I ever saw were at the front desk and in the breakfast restaurant. As for other departments? They were nowhere to be seen. If a hotel can't even guarantee basic room service, what's the point of staying? I do not recommend it.

Nice modern hotel
Disappointed with the customer service
The checkin experience was robotic, unfriendly and did not show any interest, care or effort to deliver a welcome.
The hotel itself is very nice, quality finishes and large rooms.
The property has a dedicated service elevator however the housemaids use the guest elevator for transit between floors without any smile, hello or care towards guests. It's also obvious the damage to guest elevator from cleaning carts.
Great views,
It's a shame this beautiful property is let down by poor customer service and poor management oversight.

Amazing
AAifeiyuxixiThe room is spacious, a studio apartment that includes a large living room with a kitchen, dining area, and a balcony. There's also a small study connected to the balcony, and a separate bedroom. The bathroom is a bit small. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner gas stove, and appliances include a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and refrigerator. Pots, pans, and basic oil, salt, and condiments are all provided.
The location is very convenient, with tram lines 11 and 48 right downstairs, offering free travel within the city zone. Southern Cross Station is just four stops away. The South Wharf commercial area is also a 15-minute walk. There's a Woolworths and an Asian supermarket about 200 meters from the apartment.
If you're driving, underground parking is available with prior reservation and is basically free.
Just make sure to communicate the check-in procedure in advance if you're arriving outside of business hours.
GGuest UserThis hotel is located by the Yarra River, a bit far from the city center but still a walkable 20-30 minutes away. There are quite a few restaurants across the river, as well as the DFO outlet mall. The hotel facilities are new and well-maintained, and the room decor is naturally simple with some greenery. The only minor downside was how difficult it was to get through to the front desk by phone; it took over an hour to get slippers delivered on the first day 😂.
Amenities: New, tasteful
Cleanliness: Clean
Environment: Peaceful, along the Yarra River
AAlex5678Location is about 1 min walk away from tram stop. It’s located within free tram zone, and it’s about 20min away from the city centre. Room is cleaned daily. There is a small fully equipped kitchen. In addition washer and dryer are provided too which benefitted us greatly. However the sound proofing can be improved, we could hear sounds from the corridor when our neighbours returned late at night. The bed is also on the softer side.
AAnonymous Usergreat location and facilities, but be prepared for significant noise both early in the morning and late at night.
Be randomly arranged units in 889 or 883 Collins st.
the noise situation seriously affects the stay. There are several construction sites nearby, and work starts around 7 a.m. every day. The drilling and machinery noise is very loud, making it difficult to sleep in.
At night, the problem continues as car enthusiasts often race along the nearby roads, and the engine revving can be extremely disruptive.
JJunkaiI stayed at Nesuto Docklands for 2 nights during a work trip. The location is very convenient, there are plenty of eateries nearby, a supermarket right on the ground floor, and paid parking available. The room was decent and comfortable enough for a short stay. However, do note that they don’t provide bottled water or basic amenities like a toothbrush and toothpaste, so you’ll need to bring your own.
GGuest UserThe hotel staff were welcoming and ready to help. The hotel ammenities and location itself were perfect, from the pool there was a magnificent view of the sunset overlooking the city buildings. The charging ports in the room were practically placed, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was modernly designed and spacious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm, inviting, clean and modern, making its shared spaces comfortable to relax. Its convenient location allowed access to ”The District” on Docklands with a range of restaurants and shops alongside public transport. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern and enjoyable stay in Melbourne.
AAnonymous UserOverall comfortable 1 night stay. Booking/Room as described, with all necessities provided.
Staff were welcoming, warm and helpful. I would recommend Quest Docklands and would consider staying again myself. Fantastic location with walkable surroundings and nice sights!
Smooth check-in & check-out process; precheck-in option is a great feature, I saw it too late to utilise.
Air vents may need cleaning as it didn't feel as cool as expected, woke up a little sweaty but the humid morning could have been messing with temperature.
Air definitely flowing though as had to fiddle with the curtains to minimise slight bumping sounds it was making against the frame.
I appreciate the welcome letter, especially the clarification on the no smoking policy.
Environmentally conscious attention, always a plus!
SStupid_lok20We stayed at Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands over the weekend and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious, with a lovely view. The bathtub was a real bonus and the range of toiletries provided was excellent.
It was super easy to get into the city with a tram stop right out the front. Credit to the management for maintaining such a high standard throughout the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserThree bedrooms and two bathrooms, with balcony, kitchen (with oven, microwave, large refrigerator) and washer and dryer; it has a lot of space. We stayed for a total of 6 nights. There was no room cleaning. We had to take out the trash ourselves. Room cleaning service will only be provided if we stay for more than 7 nights.
The overall feeling is very good. This area is very quiet, but it is also in the cable car free zone in the city, so you don’t have to worry about transportation when going to the city for dining.
GGuest UserGreat location and service good.
Our room lacked coffee pods and not enough tea bags
The TV kept turning off.
N0t having the ability to watch AFL footy on TV saturday night . was a disappointing - I would have been happy if we could have streamed it through our phone on Kayo
love walk in shower as i have a disability and space i n room for my walker.
