Lake tekapo is just behind the hotel. Very convenient for you walk to the lake. The room is good for 2 peoples. Heater really useful because lake tekapo temperature is quite low and cold. Front desk customer service also quite friendly and helpful. They try arrange the room side by side each for my friends and us. We had a ground floor, so that we do not need to carry luggage go up the staircase

Great location, short walk to Lake Tekapo and many other eateries around. Laundry avail for use (paid and hours apply) Room was generally clean, with some rooms on 2nd floor overlooking Lake Tekapo and you'll be able to see stars at night on a cloudless day!
Large garden for your kids or pets. Parking area (free for hotel guests - located at the back of the hotel) relatively small but should still get a lot.
Overall a decently good stay

If you want to feel the private garage and small villa, then come to this one. It's really a completely different experience, it's the feeling of renting a house.
We arrived late because of the closure of Highway 8 and responded immediately after ringing the bell.
This one has a bathtub and can take a bath. There is also an electronic fireplace. The style is in place. There is even a rice cooker 🥰 to completely solve the Chinese stomach.
The starry sky is so beautiful! Looking up is the starry sky. The sun is spilled on the bedside in the morning. The door is Tekapo. Recommend to stay a few more days.
Disadvantages: No active cleaning service. This service may be provided after further communication.

Check in by yourself, the boss is Chinese, you can communicate in Chinese, the location is very quiet and not noisy
But the bed was soft, especially on the side, it collapsed, and the roof often made noises. The room was affixed to the sound of wood heat and cold. I thought it was an animal fighting on the roof.

在離特卡波湖不遠的地方，看起來這裏周圍的很多房子都是這樣的民宿。房子用的是密碼鎖，我們看中它有着三個套房，另外兩個房間可以獨享1.5個衞生間（雖然屬於公共區域，但是因為大家都有自己的衞生間所以就屬於我們一家三口了），客廳和開放式廚房很大很舒服，住在這裏兩個晚上，我們在這裏做了兩個晚餐，還有洗衣房，門前有兩個停車位我們停了三輛

The location of the cabin is very good, just next to the Good Shepherd Church, within walking distance, and the door is tekapo Lake. Check-in is very convenient, the boss lives nearby. The room is also relatively clean and the area is enough.

Parking beside the road. Self Checkin so need to arrange in advance to get the door access. The room a bit small but the facilities in room very new. Checking out on the dot as it’s peak season. Clothes still very wet after one round cotton function on dryer.

GGuest UserAbsolutely, a wonderful place during the trip in Tekapo, which has spacious room and built-in kitchen that is easy to cook for yourself because the nearest fourth-quarter market is just 10 minutes walk. It’s a self-service hotel and very easy to check in after you get your password from your e-mail to access in your ordered separate house. You can just walk away and enjoy the stunning view and food just alongside the small street.

KKa KaThe stay was good, nice location. Just the kitchen too pack especially during dinner time. Kitchenware (pans, bowls cutleries etc) provided in the room we have to bring it down to the kitchen every time we need to prepare food in the kitchen.

TTrace yeoThis is a cute little boutique hotel situated near to Lake Tekapo and 15 mins drive to Mount John. It is good location as it is very near to the city centre where many shops, restaurants and a big supermarket are located. The service of this hotel is tip top and they serve breakfast to your room on a daily basis so we can eat while enjoying the lake view . Breakfast is great as well and I would like to give special comment about this hotel staff (Yvonne) who is very helpful and friendly and made good recommendation where to visit around Lake Tekapo. The room although not too big but it has a starlight which we can gaze the stars from the bed, it is quite interesting (but the room has to be in complete darkness). It is also near to the Church of the good shepherd and the view is so spectacular sitting just beside the lake.

GGuest UserThis was by far the best place I stayed at while traveling through New Zealand, even though there wasn’t anyone there to check us in. The process was still incredibly easy—getting the check-in information emailed to me was simple and straightforward. When I arrived, the room was clean, modern, and cozy, and they even left us a small gift since it was Christmas Eve. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the stay feel extra special. The unit also had laundry facilities, which was a huge bonus after living out of our suitcases for over a week. I would definitely stay here again—it had everything we needed and more, making it feel like a home away from home.

CCharm-HUGE space. Thankfully the rooms were on the first level and the living room was on the second level so we did not have to lug the luggages up stairs. Only had one toilet for two rooms, wish there could be more toilets. Otherwise, everything was pretty clean. There was also a space with alpacas and lamb facing the room. Near the main lake tekapo shops. (Just across the road)

The unit was sparkling clean and spacious, with a lovely courtyard to enjoy. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest.
Contrary to some reviews, no deposit was required, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic—less than a 5-minute drive to Lake Tekapo—and parking right in front of the unit was very convenient. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The facilities were great overall especially kitchen amenities and 2in1 washer with dryer!
The dish wash machine helps lot on the kitchen cleaning work!
The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to add a fence in the shower area to separate the wet and dry zones, which would make it even better.
Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserThe room is right on the roadside. It would be better if there is a hotel sign to help first-timers find the right place. There is a refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle and dishes in the house, but no stove. There is only one trash can in the hall, which is not convenient for garbage sorting. The fabric on the stool surface has obvious stains. Each house looks independent, but it is not soundproof. The sound of the neighboring house coming back late at night and laughing in the house and scolding the children to brush their teeth in the morning is clear to the ear.

FFayreWe are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated.
3 points here to explain the terrible experience.
1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV!
2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon!
3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience!
In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment.
I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review.

AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay in a great location. It was close to Lake Tekapo and the supermarket on the lakeside, and I could see the stars from the garden at night. The area was full of accommodations, but it was quiet and I felt safe. The room was clean, there were two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and the living room was very spacious. There were indoor slippers, so I changed into my shoes, but I think it would be better if the dirt floor was a little larger. But I had a very good time. Thank you very much.

VvernCThe location is good, about 7 minutes' walk from the center of the town. The room has ample heating equipments, so you can have a warm sleep even in the coldest winter days. However, the sound insulation condition is bad and will interact with the guests on the other side of a thin wooden door. The most difficult thing to understand is the area is less than 40 square meters, but the introduction says 80 square meters. The owner and trip.com should correct the information.
