"This hotel stay was truly exceptional, offering a wonderful combination of a peaceful, quiet location and top-notch amenities. The best part was the ability to gaze up at the stars through the large windows - the perfect way to end each evening. The check-in process was seamless, with the owner providing the password to the key box ahead of time so we could access the unit with ease. Once inside, we were impressed by the large, spacious layout and the high-quality kitchen equipment. The added touch of having two comfortable bean bag chairs for stargazing was such a lovely and thoughtful detail. And having two bathrooms was a huge plus, especially when traveling as a family. Overall, the combination of the quiet, scenic location, well-appointed unit, and attentive host made this one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We'd absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional stargazing opportunities. It's a hidden gem!"

"The room was absolutely fantastic – incredibly spacious, with modern and comprehensive facilities, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The area is very quiet, and parking is conveniently available right at the entrance. In the evenings, you can enjoy amazing stargazing. Plus, it's only a 5-minute drive to Tekapo."

"The frying pan and pot were so old and dirty. They need to be replaced. And the bathroom sink and kitchen drain don't drain well. When I brush my teeth or wash my face, the water doesn't drain well and gets stuck. I slept warmly because there was an electric blanket. When it was hot during the day, the air conditioner worked well. The staff were friendly. The proximity to Lake Tekapo, the supermarket, etc. was great. It was great to see the stars at night :-))"

"Found this place at the very last minute, and it exceeded our expectations! My family and I loved this place - good location (walking distance to Lake Tekapo etc.), super friendly staff, sparkly clean units (we stayed at both Unit 4 & 5 - 4 nights stay in total!) and all stated amenities were provided as well! The only thing to be improved was probably the wifi connection at Unit 5 (slightly weak as compared to Unit 4) and the master room door at unit 5 had loud squeaking sounds when you open/close the door. Other than that, it was such a lovely stay at Skyblue Tekapo! I would definitely come back here to stay if I ever go to Lake Tekapo again. Thank you for having us Wince! "Love the location near to lake and restaurants. The place is neat and clean but design of room is outdated. Worth staying for one night. Tips: book the ground level room as only stairs to level 2 rooms."

"Pretty good, with parking available. The self-check-in system is perfect for introverts. You can enjoy stargazing right from the courtyard at night. Although the Church of the Good Shepherd is a bit of a walk (around 1.2km), the hotel's surroundings are also very beautiful."

"Like the location of being just few mins away from the shops and the church. Easy to find but better arrive before it gets dark to find the exact unit number. Enjoyed cooking and the laundry with the necessities. WiFi, Netflex all good but local tv doesn’t seem to work. Probably need to try harder to figure it out. Like the shower, water is hot and with good pressure. Electric blankets also available for the bed. Need to be clear of how to do the rubbish recycle though and reserve enough time before the check out to do all the dishes."
