The lodge is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake and a short walk to town. The room was spacious and airy with large glass doors filling the room with light. There was space to sit outside to enjoy the view. The room was spotless and well equipped. There was a large bathroom. A suggestion would be to have bulk toiletries rather than the waste of little plastic bottles. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There are three rooms with bathrooms, the facilities inside are very new and the location is very easy to find. The password lock self-entering is very convenient and fast, family travel is recommended, there is a kitchen living room laundry room.

We booked late, arrived even later but check in was so simple with a code for the digital door lock. A newly built residence, well appointed for families with 4 bedrooms, parking for 2 vehicles, very warm and cosy. Another plus, Two living areas so kids can settle and watch tv or play games in one whilst adults socialise in the main living area. Plenty of heating, plenty of blankets, no-one was cold. Highly recommend!

The location is such that it takes about 5-7 minutes to drive to the lake.
If you walk there, it will take about 25 minutes.
However, compared with other surrounding hotels, the price/performance ratio is too poor. I highly recommend the Lake Blue Water Hotel.
Maybe it’s because of the peak tourist season, so the cost is very high and the experience is very poor.
It is similar to domestic prefabricated houses, but the facilities inside are much more complete than domestic prefabricated houses.
Overall, not recommended

Pros:
Everything was clean.
There was ample heating.
Relatively near the main tekapo area (1 min drive).
House was spacious.
Cons:
The wifi password was handwritten badly and it was a guessing game to get the password. Also uncontactable via email.
No barricade around the house and there’s other houses right next door. People could walk by your room / house windows and peer in. Which was what happened to me twice. Zero privacy unless curtains are fully drawn.

美美思_LThe hotel is located just 3 to 4 minutes' drive from the Shepherd Church, but there are many similar B&B hotels around. It is recommended to check in during the day. It is very dark at night and it is easy to find the wrong place.
The hotel facilities are very new, with cooking equipment and even an induction cooker for making hot pot. The room was clean and the owner was very considerate, including blankets and a telescope for stargazing.
Cars can be parked in the open space next to the hotel.
There is a washing machine available (placed in a public space)
Overall 10 points satisfied, I will choose to stay here again next time.
By the way, the paintings in the room are beautiful.

MM26***88The sky is so beautiful! The first time I saw so many stars, if I want to take pictures on my mobile phone, bring a tripod to fix it. The narrator lady spoke very detailed, learned a lot of knowledge, praise and recommendation

广广州丁满The land and sky of Lake Tekapo are extremely pure. The blue sky, snow-capped mountains, icy lakes and grasslands combine to form a beautiful picture here, and the area around the Church of the Good Shepherd is the best place to view the scenery. At night, the starry sky is equally magnificent. Even if you don't join a professional viewing group, you can still see the starry sky with your naked eyes in the town on a sunny day. The street lights on the road are specially made and will not affect the shooting. I was fortunate to stay in the Blue Water Resort with the best conditions in the area, with a beautiful lake view, but the summer in New Zealand is very long, so it will be late to wait until it is completely dark.
