Romantic Hotels in Kyoto

Very good location, everything is nearby! A lot of restaurants around:) The hotel provided a free evening cocktail at the rooftop bar, the view is epic! However, the room is a bit small (as usual in Japan), and breakfast is the same every day, a bit disappointing. Apart from that, overall is good!

Highly recommended! The environment is pleasant, the service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and approachable. I am especially grateful to a Chinese counter staff member who helped us when my daughter experienced severe nose bleeding that lasted more than 45 minutes. We were extremely worried and reached out to the counter for assistance. She responded immediately, activated the ambulance, and stayed attentive throughout. The ambulance arrived quickly, and the medical staff were both kind and knowledgeable, guiding us on how to stop the bleeding. Thankfully, the bleeding stopped, and there was no need to visit the hospital. Additionally, the breakfast was a delightful experience, featuring special traditional dishes served in a private cubicle for each room. The hot spring was also unique, offering private rooms for a more intimate and relaxing experience.

Nicely located hotel with great amenities and a historical touch/feel. Love how it immerses itself in a busy district but still has all the privacy. The hospitality of the front desk could be improved but overall excellent.

Hotel is conveniently located close to Umekoji train station, with the Umekoji park next to it. Hotel is spacious with plenty of communal space for family activities. Great place for family to chill out for a few days whilst exploring the greater Kyoto area.

Best toilet in all the hotels we’ve been to during our trip in Japan so far. Spacious shower stall with rain shower included. WiFi was also very fast, and so strong we could still get a signal from across the street (password required of course). Room was also very clean and comfy. Service staff were very helpful and polite, and also proficient in English.

I had an excellent stay at Fauchon. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The hotel staff were also incredibly attentive and polite throughout our stay. My room was small but comfortable, featuring modern and luxurious amenities that were stylishly pink in colour and comfortable bedding. The attention to detail in the room was impressive, with thoughtful touches including a whole array of complimentary cookies and cake. Breakfast was served as a set menu and selection was limited and basic but expertly prepared and presented. The hotel's location was also perfect for me because it is situated right in the heart of Kyoto yet away from the crowded spots with excellent access to public transportation. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, the nearest train station is about 10 mins walk and the hotel is approx 15 mins walk to Kawaramachi Street (shopping area). Just behind our hotel is the river and all the restaurants. Our room has the mountain view.

The hotel is nested in a quiet corner, within walking distance of Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho. Im however a bit disappointed with the limited facilites it offered when compared to the price we paid. We stayed in the Tsukinone Twin Room which is on the third floor of the building. The view is pleasant. The room is of decent size. Yet there were no public onsens. We need to pay YEN5000 for 45 minutes and there are only 2 private onsens. For more luxurious rooms with private onsen, the one I visited was on the ground level with no views as it were by the pathway to the reception , separated by wooden planks. We paid around Yen5000 for the breakfast in the hotel, Both western and japanese breakfasts were offered. We tried both. It is of standard. The 4 different juices presented on the top of the bento box was impressive. The vaccinity is pleasant. We could walk to the train station, the tourist rown area , the nearby parks and the world heritage sites. Nice area .

One of the nicest hotel with a lovely Japan and Kyoto like interiors in Kyoto for the price in the area. Room and bathroom is spacious and a large bath tub with tv is good plus point if you enjoy taking a bath. The front staffs are not the best and friendly ones but provide service you need. Our family stayed for 2 nights, one room in the 3rd floor and the other in the ground floor. The ground floor room has really bad moldy and cigarette smell, my husband and I notified hotel and asked if they gave us a smoking room by mistake. They said they will do something with it and when we back to the room at night we saw they kept opening the window but it was still smelly and disgusting. It was very unpleasant.

Kyoto is such a big city, but I have to say that is hotel is in a very convinient location, in an area where you can walk thru every diretion and look many amazing stuff in the way.The walking distance to Nishiki Market for example is short and is a place where is a great to eat, walk around and do great shoping. Talking about the hotel now, is fantastic!!! the building looks and feel very new, with amazing furniture in all the place. The ONZEN is great in the first floor, I highly recomend live the Japanes bath. The room was great. Good space and Deco. The bath fantastyc. And the best of all ... the PJ´s

Very good location right beside kyoto station especially when arriving late at night. Good amenities and service at affordable prices. There’s even free washing machine and dryer but just have to bring your own detergent else there’s the option to purchase as well.
