Response from Property: Thank you for using Kyoto Nanzenji Yachiyo Ryokan/Hotel. Thank you very much for your continued support. During your stay, please let us know what you think and what you can do during your stay. Kyoto's Nanzenji district is famous for its Meiji-era villas. While Kyoto has numerous residential areas, the Nanzenji neighborhood stands out for its impressive collection of luxury villas. Nanzenji Temple is located in Higashiyama, adjacent to Kyoto Central Station, including Keihan Sanjo Station. During the Meiji period, many villas for politicians and millionaires were built in this area. The area is characterized by its gardens. Many magnificent gardens were built using innovative designs, such as bringing water from Lake Biwa into the gardens and using nearby Higashiyama as a "borrowed view". It is said that during the Meiji period, celebrities from all walks of life built villas and used them as guesthouses. Even today, there are villas etc. owned by famous people from the financial world from all over the world. Kyoto flourished as the capital of Japan for over 1,200 years, a city of art, tradition and history. Kyoto plays an important role in Japanese identity.

I don't usually write reviews because it's annoying, but I'm leaving this because it's the worst. I hope you don't make a reservation!!!!!!!! First of all, the ryokan is really bad for the price. I paid 740,000 won and went, but the family bath I reserved was a really small indoor bath. And even that window was broken. I visited the front desk to check in and use the family bath for dinner, but no matter how many times I called, they wouldn't come out. I think I had to wait for 5 minutes to come out. Another Japanese guest couldn't stand it any longer and rang the front desk bell several times, but I rang it several times and they didn't come out, so I said I was waiting. The dinner wasn't tasty either, so I left. The best part was the coffee and ice cream, so I ate the most of those. I made the reservation, so I felt bad for the person I was with. They asked if this was 740,000 won. Oh, there's an additional fee for the accommodation or city tax when you check out. Anyway, I recommend that you carefully research other ryokans and make a reservation.

I found a hotel with history, it's really historic (old) It's small, the environment is good, the dinner provided by the hotel is very good, the breakfast feels like a repeat of the dinner, but I can't finish it at all, but the environment of the restaurant is really good, the room is a traditional tatami, people who are not used to sleeping should choose carefully, one night experience is enough

Stayed in a room with an open-air hot spring and a garden. The bathroom door leads to the garden. The door will be opened by the staff during the day. It is very comfortable to take a bath, but you may see centipedes crawling on the ground halfway through. The hotel's free ice cream is very milky. The tofu shabushabu pot for dinner is very delicious. The service is good. If you are afraid of insects, it is not recommended to stay in the garden room

The service quality is perfect, and you can also make a reservation for a private soup. It is also close to the subway station. There are many famous attractions nearby. The breakfast is very good. There is also a well-known tofu restaurant nearby. Super good experience.

There were fleas in the room. I started to feel itchy after sleeping for an hour. I checked out and moved to another place in the middle of the night.

Overall, this hotel is average and not good value for money! The hotel is at the foot of Nanzenji Temple. It is more convenient to climb the mountain to see the temple in the morning. To go to other attractions or shopping, you need to walk a distance before taking the subway. It is understandable that the hotel facilities are old, but the poor quality of the bedding seriously affects the quality of sleep and also makes people worry about hygiene issues. Since the hotel has a restaurant, it does not provide food delivery service to the rooms, which undoubtedly reduces the experience for a Japanese-style hotel. The delivery service was relatively standardized and did not leave a deep impression. Poor sound insulation is a common phenomenon in Japanese-style hotels, so guests should try to be careful about what they say to avoid disturbing other people's rest. The best experience is the breakfast session. In the traditional Japanese restaurant of the hotel, the tofu banquet is a famous restaurant near Nanzenji Temple. It is recommended to wear the kimono provided by the hotel to show respect for the local culture. It is a pleasure to enjoy the beautiful Japanese garden scenery while dining. The hotel has a traditional public bath, but the environment is average. Overall, this Japanese hotel experience is average

In Kyoto, it's definitely a Japanese-style lodging. The restaurant where you eat breakfast is like a picture. It's a restaurant with rice and side dishes served in pretty bowls, but with a view of the garden. The location is great, great for a morning or night walk. The location is better than the accommodations on Gion Street.

The room facilities are poor, the sound insulation effect is poor, and the room smells bad. It is not suitable for human habitation. It is recommended that other travelers choose carefully. It is more reliable to stay in an international hotel, which is expensive and not good!
