Xiaolajiao Hotel (Zhangye Jinzuo) Reviews

Overall a very good stay.at this older property. The hotel is not located in the main shopping street which is about a 15 to 20 minutes walk away but just behind the city park with a beautiful lake which is also the location of many popular restaurants. The hotel street itself is the location of many trendy little bars and clubs which get busy over the evenings especially on weekends.The rooms are good with thick carpets, excellent beds, cold air-conditioners with great bathrooms with a strong hot shower. All the amenities expected from a property of this level are provided. The receptionists are very friendly and welcoming and the housekeeping is excellent. Bed linens and towels are crisp, soft and clean The big negative of this property is already noted by other reviewers. The very bad soundproofing of the other windows. Even our room was located on the back, every sound and movement on the street could be heard.

First of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of June 2024). It is a rather typical 4 star hotel - the facilities were in good condition and the room was clean and spacious. The staff was also very kind. It is possible to store your luggage before check-in and/or after check out for free. The location is very central, not too far from the Big Buddha Temple etc. There are numerous shops and restaurants nearby. Do note, however, that it is quite far from the train stations, and that generally, public transportation is quite limited (especially in the evening). Overall, good value for money (especially since cheaper hotels don't seem to accept foreigners).

This hotel is in an excellent location, although the Didi Taxi app has it a little wrong. There are at least 20 restaurants behind the hotel, and then its the Ganquin Park behind that. The Ganquin Old Street market and the Pagoda are nearby, and the West Bus Station is about 1.5 km the other way, for the Zhangye Danxia Geopark bus. There are several bars and a couple of coffee shops just down the street. My room was very comfortable, with a couple of seats and table area. The bed was softer than some I have had. I managed to actually get this TV to work (first time in China) and could get the CCTV English channel. There's an elevator, and the staff were nice *although no English to speak of).

Located on a Main Street near the city sights. The rooms are nice. Some noise can be heard from the street at night.

The hotel is not far from the high-speed rail and the train station, and the transportation is convenient. There is a night market behind it, which is nice to go shopping and eat at night. We need to have breakfast in advance and it can be properly arranged.

Not satisfied, the water is very dirty, the environment is average, the waiter was very noisy when cleaning other rooms in the morning, not recommended

Except for the clean sheets, everything else was very shabby! The front desk clerk has a very bad attitude!

The hotel is spacious outside and the interior decoration is also quite good. Parking is at the entrance of the hotel, and parking spaces are marked and parking fees are charged. The only drawback is that there is a humidifier in the room, and I didn't carefully understand the meaning of "shared use scan code trial". Because other hotels I booked also have free use. I plugged it in and used it. The children had fun playing with it, and it didn't vent for a while. Then I didn't understand it either, and saw a big "damage compensation" on the humidifier, so I repaired it for a long time. Finally, the head of the family woke up in the middle of the night and saw that I was still fiddling with why it was broken, and then said that this might mean scanning the code to pay. 5.9 yuan for 3 hours. Since it is paid to use, I don't know why it will steam for a few minutes without scanning the code at the beginning? In short, it is recommended that the hotel either write it clearly directly, or set the machine not to vent without scanning the code! This makes me very angry!

Came here at around two o'clock in the morning. Xiao Yan at the front desk was very welcoming. The room was clean and well received.

The hotel has convenient transportation, spacious rooms, and the front desk Xiao Zhao's service is warm and thoughtful

The hotel is in a good location. There are many restaurants and supermarkets in the European Street where it is located, so traveling is very convenient.

The only thing is that the sound insulation is a little bit bad, everything else is ok
