The property was so unhygienic, very smelly room, receptionist doesn't understand a single word of English, very tight locker which doesn't fit a small bag.
I don't recommend this property to anyone.
Trip.com helped me to resolve this issue. Highly recommended trip.com

The proprietress is from Taiwan and speaks English. I came to Kyoto alone for my birthday trip. This is my favorite place to stay. I would like to come back and stay here next time I return to Kyoto. If I want to visit Kawaramachi, Shijo, or Nishiki Market, I always walk there (about 20 minutes) as exercise. The room is very clean, with Japanese tatami mats. I had a good sleep these days. This is more of a backpacker hostel, so the bathroom and toilet are shared with other people, but they are always cleaned very well. There is an oven and a microwave, as well as tableware (the hotel will help clean the used dishes, so you don’t have to wash them yourself), a free washing machine (so I can wash clothes every day), and a shared refrigerator. If you want to rent a relatively affordable hotel, Amei's is really a good choice.

On April 18, several Korean friends on the same floor were really noisy.
Other aspects were OK.

Very good place. Nice, helpful and kind staff. Helped to lift suitcases. The location itself is very convenient. Air conditioning works, though good sound. If I return to Kyoto again. I will consider this option again

Facilities: The environment is very quiet and clean, the night is comfortable and quiet, the hostess is very nice, there is a living room, and all the facilities are very new
Sanitation: Very very clean and comfortable
Environment: It is very convenient to take a bus to the scenic spots. The nearest station: Kawaramachi Street and Marutamachi Street are about a one-minute walk away. There are many Japanese restaurants and Southeast Asian specialty restaurants around the door; there are two convenience stores and two large supermarkets: Fresco and Organic Supermarket

I traveled alone, and booked the place for the attractions and places I wanted to visit. The landlord was a Chinese, but it was much better than I expected. The room was very clean, with air conditioning, wifi, slippers and towels. The bathroom and toilet were shared, and the bathroom equipment was very advanced. Although the bathroom only had a shower, it was also very clean. Oh, there were two washbasins and toilets, so there was no embarrassment of waiting for the toilet. The public area also provided refrigerators, microwaves, tables, etc., which was very convenient. The area nearby was not as crowded as the bustling area, but there were convenience stores and restaurants, and the transportation was also good. The bus stops were all nearby for 1 minute, and the subway was not far away. It is recommended to buy a one-day transportation card after you come here. The bus here is very expensive. The most worth mentioning is that when I came, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, just next to the embankment near her house, it was very beautiful, and it felt like I was in a painting or anime. It was very suitable for walking, picnics and taking pictures. I was in a hurry, otherwise I really wanted to sit there and sleep or something. As I mentioned before, the proprietress is Chinese, a very nice lady. I am the kind of person who must complete what I have prepared, so I arrived very late. The lady didn't blame me, which made me feel embarrassed, as I strained a muscle and my knee injury hasn't fully healed. But she also paid attention to me, especially when I was in a foreign country, and took me to find the subway and so on. In short, this place is pretty good.

We traveled to Osaka with our family for five days and stayed in five hotels. We think Kyoto's hotel is the best and cleanest. It is not far from the night market and feels like home. It has a very good review. The tatami room for 4 people is very large. There is also a refrigerator. You can buy Coke and freeze it to drink. You can shake it and make smoothies. It was 35 degrees during the few days I came to Osaka.
