Response from Property: Thank you for staying at Rinn Shijo Takasegawa North. The machiya you are staying in is a renovated traditional house in Kyoto. Because it is made of wood, the sound insulation is indeed poor. The special feature of this machiya is that you can see the river when you open the floor-to-ceiling windows. In principle, we provide bottled water for one day. If towels and other toiletries are not enough and you need to add more, you can contact the counter staff and they will help you get more for free.
