Gracery Hotels in Kyoto

Every time I come to Kyoto, I choose to stay here because it's so incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and transportation. Let me start with a negative point. I booked a 5-day stay this time, but I had an urgent matter that required me to return to Beijing. I received a call at 9:30 AM and checked out at 10:30 AM to catch a CA flight from Osaka Kansai Airport at 2:00 PM. I asked the front desk how long it would take to get a taxi, but they didn't know and asked me which airport I was going to. I told them I just needed to know how long it would take, but they still couldn't tell me. I guess people have different perspectives. I flagged down a taxi on the street, pulled up Baidu Maps, and the driver said it would take an hour and a half. We indeed arrived exactly at 1:00 PM. We rushed to check in, went through security, and headed straight for gate 35. I only saw gate 34, so I asked an airport staff member where gate 35 was. They just said 'I don't know' when I asked if it was to the left or right of gate 34. I completely lost it. It's the same as asking the hotel – because it doesn't concern them, right? I just expected too much from the people around me. The hotel also refused to refund the city tax for the fifth day, which was really stingy, and I was very disappointed. Luckily, after understanding the situation, Trip.com proactively offered me 300 RMB as compensation. I was truly overwhelmed, especially considering how much I've always championed this hotel. Now that their business is doing well, it's quite disheartening. Now for some positives: Dining: Noodles (including ramen, udon, and oden, very convenient). Beef: For sukiyaki, try the all-you-can-eat place in the Food Mall opposite Takashimaya. For yakiniku, go to 'Kyo no Niku' and order à la carte; no need for a set menu. Sushi: Both conveyor belt sushi restaurants are excellent and within 50 meters. Seafood: Fresh fish and shrimp at Nishiki Market. Crabs at Kani Doraku and Hokkaido Crab Restaurant. Tempura: There's a very popular one within 50 meters. Yakitori: The one downstairs is extremely popular, specializing in various handmade charcoal-grilled chicken skewers, and they also have beef skewers. Shopping: There's a large Uniqlo and various small shops. Accommodation: I recommend staying in the North Tower. The 2nd floor has a free lounge with unlimited soft drinks. The 1st floor connects to 7-Eleven and has a microwave and washing machine, which means you can enjoy various foods for very little money, very convenient. I make sure to eat one Hokkaido caramel pudding ice cream every night, it's 540 yen. Transportation: It's incredibly convenient to get anywhere. For three people coming from Kyoto Station, I recommend taking a taxi to the hotel's bus stop (in front of Uniqlo), then it's less than a 100-meter walk, costing 1500 yen. For daily outings, public transportation is sufficient.
